  • Pavilion Slimline s5780t: compatibility Windows 10

    Hello

I have a friend with the model listed above. It was recently upgraded to Windows 10 (translation: Microsoft forced the upgrade on him without his consent). His PC was working fine before the upgrade, but since then, he has been presenting all kinds of different problems.

Before you start to look at the details, I just wanted to know if this model of PC is compatible with Windows 10 in the first place. I came across the site of HP in the hope of finding this 'picture' of the models tested, but have not been able to find it anywhere.

Could someone be tell me if the s5780t flag has been tested with Windows 10 or direct me to where I might find myself?

    Thank you in advance.

    Hello:

HP does not support this model for W10, and there is no W10 driver for it on the support page.

Here is the link for the product... it's 2011, which is older that the deadline for what tested HP of the PC for the W10.

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/product/HP-Pavilion-slimline-s5700-desktop-PC-series/5035352/model/5060992/document/c02682452#AbT0

Here is the link to HP on compatibility with W10...

    http://h22207.www2.HP.com/us-en/document/c04731185

This PC must be able to run W10 OK on the basic material.  I have two HP business class PC with Sandy Bridge CPUs and chipsets, and they work fine.  Audio different chips well (Realtek).

Now if this model has a tuner TV and other optional devices, those who can not work.

The Beats Audio may not work... However, try this driver W10.  It works on many HP PC with audio IDT bat.

This package provides the Tempo IDT High Definition Audio Driver for assumption of office models that are running a supported operating system.

  • HP Pavilion p6-2302ea: compatibility

Hello there are experts... I was wondering if this card, (if I had the PSU) would work in my computer ((HP Pavilion p6-2302ea))

    http://www.GeForce.co.UK/hardware/desktop-GPUs/GeForce-GTX-590.

Also, it is the power supply I found...

    http://www.cclonline.com/product/76292/A-700BR/power-supplies/ACE-700w-BR-black-PSU/PSU0304/?gclid=C...

    would this combine and work?

Thank you for the additional information.

I can't get your link to work.

However, if it's the video card you want to say, I do not think that it will work on your computer.  Also, I recommend a block of at least 750 w power SUPPLY.

  • SSD Pavilion dv6-3118sa compatibility

I have a Pavilion DV6-3118sa laptop and the hard drive died without warning. I want to know if I can take this opportunity to replace the defective drive with an SSD.

Does anyone know if the machine is compatible with the SSD. I would like to replace it with an SSD of the same size as the HARD original (500 GB) disc.

Any help would be appreciated as there is no useful information in support of HP from their site.

Yes, a SATA SSD drive can replace a mechanical drive to SATA.

You do know that a 500 gig SSD drive will be $350 and up, right?

  • Laptop HP Pavilion DM1: printer compatibility and the laptop

I gave my wife my laser HP P1000 printer but it cannot operate with its HP Pavilion DM1laptop.   The laptop knew it was a P1000, but did not recognize that it is a printer.   How to make this work?

My wife is still in London, so we have not yet had the opportunity to test the printer connects properly or not.   I will certainly give the 'thumbs up' if that's the case, don't worry.

In the meantime, can you tell me if this site is based in the United States?   I have a lot of difficulty getting any help on another matter from operations based in the United Kingdom.

  • HP Pavilion p7 - 1519c: compatibility of the Gtx 960 in a Hp Pavilion p7 - 1519c

A friend of mine was looking for a put a new power supply and a 960 6.8 inch gtx graphics card in its current PC (Hp Pavilion p7 - 1519c). We are a bit concerned after reading this thread:

    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/desktop-hardware/Pavilion-HPE-H8-1075uk-can-I-run-a-GTX-960-on-the-IPIS...

We believe that his computer was purchased around mid 2013 (late June). We wondered if this can possibly be a problem. Two other problems, we have considered are the need for a new power supply and cooling of questions possible. Is there anything else we should be weary of? Are there other other concerns?

    Thank you for your time!

    Rumils, welcome to the forum.

First of all, the link you provided does not work.

Your computer has UEFI and the 960 GTX requires UEFI in the motherboard.  However, you will need a new power supply (PSU).  The current PSU is only 300W.  The GTX 960 requires a minimum of 400 w to work properly.  It may also be too long to fit in the space provided.  Although I have had members say he did not.

To save you a lot of problems, I suggest you contact the Technical Support of the manufacturer to ensure it will work with your computer.

  • HP pavilion graphics card compatibility

I recently bought a HP Pavilion, model #: P7-1234.  I would like to throw in an XFX Radeon HD 6870 in relax.  Should I be ready for problems with this?

    Hello

I would not install this card if I was you on your system, simply because the power supply on your map is 300W, and with this power, you might encounter problems with your computer.

Just for you to see, the CPU gets only 100W and this card in the drains of the full power of the 159W system.

It must be remembered that the remaining parts also need power, memories, ODD, etc...

So, in case you want to really this card, please consider getting a new PSW 400W at least, or if you choose another card with a low energy consumption.

    Thank you

  • HP Pavilion Dv5 screen compatibility

I was wondering if I would be able to replace the screen of my HP Pavilion Dv5-1125nr with that of my HP Pavilion Dv5-1002nr model?

Recently, the display on my laptop turns off. The screen will be for a bit and then the backlight turns off but image will still be on the screen. Thinking that it was a problem with the inverter I ordered a new one and installed with the same results. Computer works with external projector so I think that the LEDs is bad. I have used the computer for more than a year and not to turn it off. Computer tends to overheat like most HPs.

As the screen on the HP Pavilion Dv5-1002nr works very well, it would be good to know if I could just spend it.

    Thank you

    Erik

PS: I guess it would be nice to get out them but some assurance would be nice. Here are the laptop stat pages:

    HP Pavilion Dv5-1125nr

They should be the same, and if you look at the dv5-1100 series and dv5-1000 series, they are exactly the same.

  • HP Pavilion 15-ab032tx: compatibility of RAM Hp Pavilion 15-ab032tx

    Hello

I want to improve my RAM and 16 GB by adding additional 8 GB with the 8 GB of RAM. But, I got stuck in the specification of the RAM.
    The laptop already has Samsung 8 GB-SODIMM-DDR3L - 1600 MHz-low voltage - 1.35v - 11 CASE latency. I can add Kingston Impact 8GB-SODIMM-DDR3L-1600MHz-1.35V-CAS latency 9...?

Fact the County latency should be the same... ?? It does no harm if I add one...?

If you know the answer why ask? The latency is important is all I can say. It can only be nanoseconds, but it is the case of thousands of times per second. Good luck.

There may be some intermediate model, but the way it is detailed that list contains all processors Socket FM2.

These processors are whitelist BIOS supports, in my opinion.

    Hello

    Try the following.

If you do not, use another PC to create a rescue CD Windows 7.  Download the ISO relevant among the links below - if you are unsure, your laptop is listed as coming from a 64-bit installation...

    Windows 7 32 bit

    Windows 7 64 bit

You must use an app like ImgBurn ( Note: you can deselect additional software during installation of ImgBurn options) to burn the ISO to a CD - a guide on the use of ImgBurn to write an ISO on a disc is here.

When creating, type following the ESC key as soon as you start the launch of the laptop Boot Menu, and then insert the rescue CD.  Select the Boot Menu options ( f9 ), use the arrow keys to select the CD/DVD drive and press ENTER.  You can also get a prompt to "Press any key to" continuous - it if requested.

Select the "Repair your computer" option and follow Option 2 in the guide on the link below to run the Startup Repair - you may need to run this 2 or 3 times.

    http://www.SevenForums.com/tutorials/668-system-recovery-options.html

If the above does not help, take note of any error message you get during the procedure and include them with your next post.

    Kind regards
