Pavilion HP 360: internet settings

I continue to uncheck the setting because we don't use that and it keeps check proxy.  What should I do to keep from reset.  My internet connects but I must go and uncheck the proxy box to use internet. Once I have untick the box backup fades and I can not save the settings.

I'll try again in the morning, but so far, it works.  Don't know why I had to change it in IE since I use Google Chrome and it had already changed that.  I hope that it will work.  Thank you!

  • HP Pavilion x 360-11 t - k100 CT: RE8723BE not without wireless/n

HP Pavilion x 360-11 t - k100 CTO (ENERGY STAR) model #: L8T22AAR with a Realtek RE8723BE wireless card. This card is meant to be b/g/n.
When I look in the advanced settings it shows only:
    1 'auto '.
    2 "IEEE 802 b"
    3 'IEEE 802 .11b/g.
Initially, it was a disappointment that the card was not likely to 5G, now it does not/n is as stated in the specifications. All solutions?

    You are the very welcome.

72 Mbps indicates that it connects to the Wireless N rate.

I also have Wireless-N cards where the advanced settings do not show N, just B or BG and not auto.

As your card model is a 1 x 1 card, the fastest, it can connect to is 72 Mbps, so all I can tell you is that it works properly and as quickly as possible.

If it was a 2 x 2 Wireless N card, he would have been able to connect to 144 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz band.

If you have not all devices that operate on G wireless, as I do, you can see if the change of band of 2.4 GHz of your router only, affecting N makes a difference.  But I think that this card is maxed out at 72 Mbps.

Usually the default router broadcast is mixed.

As part of my router 5.0 GHz band, I only have only the value N.

I have a few A/G wireless cards, but they can work on the 2.4 GHz band, when I connect, since the max for A or G is 54 Mbit/s, it is indifferent when I connect these notebooks to.

But given the 5.0 band set to N, double the speed of connection for my 2 x 2 cards.

    Help, please

    Hello

Welcome to the HP Support forum!

I'm sorry for the problems you are experiencing.

What happens is that the computer attempts to boot from the primary boot device (for example your HDD/SSD) there is nothing or no device start and as a result, the error.

This can be caused by 3 things:

-starting from incorrect device OR inaccurate UEFI/BIOS boot settings

-The Windows operating system question (or not at all)

    -Hardware problem HDD/SSD

HP has an official article on this issues > > http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01443463

We will first test the hardware configuration of questions.

Please, turn off your computer. Repeat using the power button and

as soon as you do, keep hitting the key Esc (as tap-tap-tap) - you will enter HP Start menu similar to the following:

Choose / press F2 and follow the on-screen instructions to make the test system > > > test FAST. More information can be found here

    > > http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03467259

    > > http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03467259#AbT1

    He must verify these items:

    Battery check
    Verification of the processor
Audit of the Board of Directors system
    SMART HDD control
Verification of DST short of hard disk
    Quick check of memory

Let me know the results of the test.

You can try to get into the BIOS and make sure that your settings are defined by default those

    Information > http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00034791

Make sure that you start from the primary HDD/SSD

Start your computer and immediately continue to press Esc (as tap-tap-tap) - you will enter the HP boot menu. Choose F9 then the HDD/SSD. Press ENTER

If you try all of the above [if material tests pass, if the BIOS is set to default and if you start from the HARD drive], then it is associated with Windows operating system issue.

HP Pavilion x 360 usually comes with Windows preinstalled, and there is a recovery on the HARD/SSD partition.

It can be used to restore your Win OS and software to factory settings by default so that easily and quickly correct you BONE problems caused by faulty drivers, virus/malware/OS corruption/etc.  Here's how it works:

1 Please, shut down the computer using the power button

    2. turn on.

2.1 as soon as you press the power button, keep hitting the Esc key (such as tap-tap-tap).

This should open a HP Boot Menu

    3. tap on F11 for recovery of the system

    4. follow the on-screen instructions.  Here is an example of the video:

  • HP Pavilion x 360 11-n010dx (HARD DISK AND RAM)

Hi, I have the HP Pavilion x 360 11- n010dx and make it sound strange when in set at 90 degrees. as a click clikc click all the time, since the day I understand 5 months ago. to be honest never was a fast computer, as my old vaio run faster than that. I thougth it was for windows 8 and 4 GB of ram. but someone told me that might be you HDD. so, first of all is any chance to fix this disc using HDD regenerator or something similar (I do not), or do a complete restore of the system? (I don't have the box and Bill from best buy so I can't look for support or use the warranty and im from argetntina and I get this pc in the United States). In the case where I need is also a chance to change the disk to an SSHD? or a SSD? in this case, what should I buy? Last, but not least, is a chance to upgrade memory? I know that it is sold to the motherboard. (any remote chance?) If I have to UN sold is not a problem, because I can't use the warranty so... (no invoice, no box).  I have well appreciate a lot your help

    HermanPerroud wrote:

Hi again once I run the complete test of the system hardware, it does not any error on the hard disk. but the clicking sound again. and the still slow computer.

Whence the noise? It's cooling fans, near vents or on the side of the hard drive? Look at the manual to their approximate positions & identify the area where the sound comes from.

Are there any overheating, sudden stops, unusually warm air through vents or error messages?

If there is no hard drive failure, it is unlikely that the cause is due to bad sectors of hard disk or all just bad HARD drive. To confirm the download, run this program free HD Tune - it'll take a few hours to complete.

You partition the hard disk after you bought the laptop?

I want to change the HD to an SSHD, because SSDS are much better, but they are very expensive and shorter life. for example, sshd maximun size would be bee 500 GB? I would like to put something bigger, is - it possible?

SSHD - the listed compatible max is in this config: 2.5 "SATA 7mm (HDD to 500 GB + 8 GB SSD) hybrid (reference HP: 732000-005), there is no other compatible guaranteed.

I suggest that go you for SSD - there is no problem, I've heard up to now with them. Certainly, they would work at least 10 years (and more than that) with the same performance & in my case (I have 500 GB Samsung SSD Evo 840) time to access and overall performance improves day after day.  If you want more storage, better, you buy an external HARD drive. If you want spectacular performance SSD is my choice, even though I'm not saying that SSHD is bad - but there still turns physical disk which is the main part.

On the RAM I've already updated the bios, so I think that I'm ready to go for it.

I check my virus staus and my pc is free, also check windows services and leave only the description, I don't know why is it so long to star upward and run the programs that I know is a modest, but Im pc use only statistical programs, office and that's all...

  • HP Pavilion x 360 13-s120nr: RAM upgrade

I was just wondering if I would be able to update my ram 8 GB instead of 4 GB that I already installed on my HP Pavilion x 360 13 - s120nr. My memory under the specification of this laptop says 4 GB of SDRAM DDR3L with only one slot, but I'm not a hundred percent sure what it means. I would really appreciate the help, thanks.

This means that to achieve the 8 GB is the maximum, you must remove the 4 GB module and install a compatible 8 GB.

  • Pavilion x 360: no sound in my TV when I plugged in my HDMI cable

Hello, I just bought a HDMI cable to connect my HP Pavilion x 360 on my TV. Unfortunately, I get only video on my TV but no sound. Audio only comes from my x 360 Pavilion. I am aware of the right by clicking on the volume icon and clicking on "playback devices" to defult cable HDMI or TV. Unfortunaly, it is not visible even after activating the devices disconnected and disabled. Please, someone help so I can get sound on my TV as well? I left a screenshot. As a reminder, my HDMI is connected on both sides, and I also disconnected and disabled visible devices. Thank you!

On my HP Envy, there is a known issue, that the system still does not recognize the new connection, so you get no audio and video.  The solution on my machine is to connect the hdmi cable with the computer and the television to stop (or at less the computer sleep), THEN you will need to activate them in the right order - I think that this is TV first, then computer to find the live TV connection already when it starts / wakes up.
