  Remove the Vista updates; two ways to do this:

  1. a System Restore to before the updates:

  Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > System Restore > restore time/choose your own date > next

  If you use Norton, disable it before using the system restore.

  If it is impossible to enter the Normal Mode, do a Safe Mode system restore:

  Press F8 at the startup/power and the list of startup options, use THE ARROW key to select Safe mode > and then press ENTER.

  System restore steps according to the info above.

  2. click on start > right click on computer > properties > Windows updates down the lower left corner > updates installed in the lower left corner in the next window

  I have HP - Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit; P7-1030

  I've recently upgraded from Photoshop CS5 to CS6 and I get an error message when I try to use a filter called oil painting, the message reads: "the filter you were using has encountered an error of unknown graphics processor that caused an unexpected exit. Visit the Web site of the manufacturer for the latest version of the software "."

  My questions are: 1) it is possbile to upgrade with/without damage or crashing my computer? (2) how to? Is this a downlaod buy a chip or any? Once I update, I have to spend anything else to be able to use the new driver/graphics card?

  Just the intel graphics in your machine then under cards, Graphics Device Manager right click on the device intel and select the software high element of the page "update driver".  Which automatically turns to the internet and search for the most recent driver.  He can ask permission to load and you should say Yes if so. That's all you should have to do.

  There is a currently installed driver for the Intel HD Graphics driver that I downloaded months ago when I bought my laptop, but I have an annoying problem is these lines that sometimes appear on my screen.
  
  
  
  These lines have disappeared when I uninstalled the driver and returned when I reinstalled it.

  I wanted to just install the latest HP hoping it will solve this problem. Can you help me please?

  You should not be installing drivers from Windows Update anyway. I don't know why it failed but maybe because it is the wrong driver for your video card. Often, this happens with the drivers available on Windows Update and is one of the reasons we main technicians say do not install the drivers from there.

  Here is some general information about the drivers. Please note the first sentence of the information, which is the most important part.

  The first law of Driver Updates is "if it's not broken, don't fix it". Normally if everything works, you want to leave things as they are. The exception is that heavy players usually want to update their video and sound drivers for every last bit of absolute performance of the equipment to get the best frame rate. If you are not one of these people, you need not update your drivers, if there is no problem you're trying to solve.

  Never get the drivers from Windows Update. Bring:

  1. site of the device mftr. ; OR
  2. site of the card mother mftr. If the material is on board; OR
  3. website of the OEM manufacturer for your specific machine if you have a PC OEM (HP, Dell, Sony, etc.).

  Read the installation instructions on the Web site where you get the drivers.

  To find out what hardware is in your computer:

  1. read all documentation that you got when you purchased the computer.
  2. If the computer is OEM, access the site Web of the OEM for your specific model machine and look at the specs (you'll be there to get the drivers anyway)
  3. download, install and run a program of inventory of the free system like Belarc Advisor or System Information for Windows.

  My current system has used an AMD Radeon HD graphics card 7570.  I am interested in upgrading this map and looking for a recommendation for a mid range to high level card that corresponds to this case / motherboard.

  The NVIDIA GTX 970 is a decent graphics card.  Because of the many brands and models of graphics cards, you need to open your PC and do a step inside. Please read this document posted on: a discrete video card selection Guide

  If you don't push monitor resolutions since 1920 by 1080 and average use game setting then the NVIDIA GTX 750 TI would be a good choice for use with a power of 300 watts with many games. However, the GTX 970 with a 500 Watt power supply would be good for many games even with the higher game settings.

• Question about the graphics driver

  Okay so just close a week ago my laptop (ASUS K55a) has decided to freeze on me while I look a a video on youtube (essentially what I normally do after obtaining of reception class at night).   We need the DMP file because it contains the single record of the sequence of events that led to the accident, what drivers have been loaded, and what has been loaded.
  
  
  WE NEED AT LEAST TWO FILES DMP TO SPOT TRENDS AND TO CONFIRM THE DIAGNOSIS.
  
  
  If you're overclocking (pushing components beyond their design) return you to default at least until the crash is resolved. If you don't know what it is that you're probably not overclocking.
  You may be able to get the DMP files without crashing by booting in SafeMode (F8) with networking.

• Graphics driver update will not install

  Hi guys, my first post here. I've upgraded to Windows 7 through HP. I downloaded the graphics driver latast Mobile Intel(r) 45 Express Chipset (8.15.10.1808A). It will not install on my machine. He informed me of an "unknown error" and pushes me to cancel the installation. Anyone else having this problem? It supposed to be compatible with my laptop TR. (YOU Presario CQ61-212). TA.

  Thank you Daniel for answering my message. While the NVIDIA GEFORCE driver is an option, my driver is INTEL (R). I have since solved the problem by installing the BIOS update. Then, I was able to successfully install the graphics driver updated. Thanks again.

  I just bought a new card (EVGA geforce gtx 960) to kick some butt. But during installation, it seems to be held on a black screen of death? Not the most fun to see... in any case, I had asked the store clerk if it would work and he said to, but it doesn't seem like it does... Is there a new BIOS I should download or something? Any help would be nice...:.

  If you have both. You can use one or. PIN 8 can be used as a 6 pin as well.

  I got my new laptop for Christmas and a few days ago, HP support assistant told me that there was a Version "Intel high definition (HD) Graphics Driver Update": 10.18.15.4281Ep3. I downloaded the updated, but after that 4 attempts trying to install via HP support assistant I kept getting the same message "installation failed." Then, I went to my downloads through Explorer of files and found the downloaded file. When I click on the file it takes me to the Setup Wizard and I can start the installation, but about 2/3 of the way if the installation I get the same message "the process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process" and then the installation completes without completing. I'm not sure how to find out which process is using the file or how to do the complete installation so I would really appreciate your help.

  Follow the steps below to uninstall the driver:

  1. Press the Windows key + R
  2. Type devmgmt.msc
  3. Press Ok
  4. Right-click on the graphics card and select Uninstall
  5. Restart the computer

  After the computer restarts, run the Windows Update and the last update will be installed.

  Hi, I'm updating the graphics driver for my HP Pavilion Slimline s5728uk.

  I tried to download my last update of the driver from the website of intel but I was unable to because apparently my PC has installed a custom computer driver manufacturer

  I downloaded the driver update .exe on the HP site as appropriate, I run the program, and after extracting the files, I'm presented with this message.

  I searched many forums and tried to reinstall the update with my disabled anti-virus (McAfee).

  No solution to my problem will be greatly appreciated.

  If you do not have a discrete video card, then try the suggestion below.

  Restart your PC. Remember that you are logged in as system administrator. Right mouse click the HP driver and select run as administrator.

  If the above fails, then try the following command from the window RUN:

  cmd

  sfc / scannow---> it will scan your critical system files and try to repair if necessary.

  The last thing to try is to uninstall the Intel driver and then start and let Windows reinstall the driver.

  After you perform a new installation of Windows 10 1607, I proceeded to install Bootcamp AppleBcUpdate.exe drivers on my MacbookPro 11.5 i7 Dual Graphics.

  Well, I checked the site Toshiba driver and the graphic driver for M300 was published on 28/01/05. The version was 6.14.103937.

  I read many comments here in the forum on the graphics drivers and it seems that generally it s advisable to use the graphics drivers from Toshiba but I think you can also try installing the Intel graphics driver.

  You can ignore Microsoft updates or ANY update (from HP, Microsoft or AMD) for Intel video on your PC.

  The only factor that you can install on your laptop's driver AMD support for your laptop and driver page, which also installs the Intel video driver.

  The problem occurs because these automatic updates don't know that you have switchable graphics and it detects an older version of Intel video driver and wants to install a more recent version.

  The problem is the AMD driver on your PC support and driver page only supports the older Intel video driver and try to install will not work either or will mess up your video.

  No more, you can use any driver directly from AMD. None of those who have the necessary Intel driver for switchable graphics to work.

  So you can hide the update, ignore the update, some adjustment, you must choose to not see or install it.

  If you see a HP update specifically for AMD/Intel switchable graphics in your laptop computer, you can install that.

  I guess what you're saying, is that you have Windows Vista 32 - bit and a video chipset from nVidia GeForce 8200 M.  I guess you went to nVidia and their utility to scan to see if you have the latest driver graphics driver?
