Pavilion HPE h8 - 1360T: Max RAM per slot (4 locations)

I'm upgrading RAM on my 1-1/2 year old h8 - 1360t.

On the page "Product Specifications and configurable Options" (http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docId=c03425388 & DocLang = in & docLocale = en_US & jumpid =... , under Hardware Options - memory, it says "must select one of the following options:...") 16 GB (4 x 4 GB) PC3-12800 DDR3 (PC3-10600 on this system turns)' (the only 16 GB option - maxed out for WIN7 64 bit).

In addition, in the support page "HP Desktop PCs - the upgrade memory (RAM)" (generic - non-specific to any model) (http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-Pavilion-HPE-h8-Desktop-PC-series/5258496/model/5261720/docum, under "Verification of the quantity of memory can be added to your computer model", it says "to find the amount of memory per slot, divide the maximum amount of memory that the computer can hold by the number of memory locations of the motherboard. Usually, this is the maximum amount for each type of memory. For example, if the computer is able to contain a maximum of 4096 MB (4 GB) memory and the motherboard has four memory slots, install 1 GB (or less) per slot. »

When I check the options of 'Memory' on www.crucial .com, the only 16 GB option it gives is 8GBx2.  Can I do trust what is Crucial says about it (which seems to contradict what the HP options & specifications page)?  I think that the answer is Yes - that HP doesn't care. and options page is just saying how it would come if I had ordered with maxed out at 16 GB RAM - but thought I would ask before ordering memory.

Thank you for responding to this.

I dug a little further on the Crucial site, and it seems that the 8GBx2 actually works:

And here's the review of one of the examiners:

The reason, I was a little skeptical about what the HP standard sheet said for the computer I had before this one, HP said a certain maximum size of RAM (below what the operating system should be able to manage).  There was a post on the HP forums who said you could use the larger RAM size (until the operating system can manage) in this model computer.  I tried and it worked fine.

    Hello

I ' v has my M3910 i3 540 3.07 GHz for awhile now and I'm very happy with it as a day to day PC, but for some time I get regular crashes and intend to reinstall Windows 7 from scratch. I would like a little more speed so will install SSD and more RAM (3 GB for the moment), but the specs on the RAM available on the web are confusing. I got a 8 GB compatible key available, but it froze the Acer splash screen. I want 16 GB (called max) but settle for 8GB.

Is the limit of RAM per slot 2GB, as argued in the specifications, or I can get 4 GB in each of the 4 slots? Crucial is indicating it takes 1600 RAM, but the specifications say 1333? FYI, my serial number starts: [under the direction of privacy]

  • Satellite L300-1BW - max memory per slot

    Hello

I have a problem with my L300-1BW. Recently, I replaced my memory and upgrated to RAM 2x2gb.
As I replace my Celeron T1600 1.6 Core 2 Duo T7500 2.2 my Toshi proc get so much that I consider myself as RAM upgrade even more.

We might find that L300-1BW plug here:
    http://www.Toshiba.co.UK/discontinued-products/satellite-L300-1BW/

And it says: "maximum extension: 4 096 MB.

I was wondering if it means limiting 4-GB PER SLOT? OR TOTAL?

I'm stuck, cause I typed "dmidecode t memory" on my OS of mint and stated as follows:

    Memory controller information «»
    Error detection method: no
    The capacity for error correction:
    None
    Supported Interleave: one-way Interleave
    Current Interleave: One-way Interleave

    Geographical area: motherboard or motherboard
    Use: System memory
    Type of Error Correction: no
    Maximum capacity: 8 GB

    It's 8GB maximum. is true?
Want to be 100% sure, as only 4GB DDR2 SO - DIMM module is quite expensive.

  • Pavilion g7-1110so and max RAM

    Hello!
I have this laptop g7 Pavilion 1110so (LS448EA). I have the 4 GB Samsung SO - DIMM DDR3 1333 memory stick. I bought Kingston 4 Gb memory stick with the same specifications. After installation of memtest shows that I have two sticks of memory of samsung with the same part numbers. But my BONES began to gel and force closing apps (the same on linux and windows - the two 64-bit).  I run memtest and it shows errors in the addresses between 7000 MB and MB 8100. I updated the BIOS F.66 and tried to change sticks in slots, but it did not help. There are specifications on the site on this laptop, where it is said that ' 4 GB RAM and is upgradabe to 4 GB of DDR3 memory. I looked in the manual for the mobile pavillion g7 and it is said that the RAM is 8192 MB.

The question is is this laptop supports up to 8192 MB?

    Hello:

Yes, your laptop should be able to take 2 x 4 Go PC3-8500 or 10600 memory, but you must ensure that the memory you get has 8 small chips black on each side of the Board, not 4.

  • HP Pavilion Notebook 15-e020eo: Max ram upgrade

    Hello

Tried to use online support, but her dosent SeasonFive react after that I chose my labtop on the screen, it does not find my labtop but no info from HP...

And there is no other way to contact HP, not so good...

But I wanne have ram max in my labtop, now there are 2 x 4 GB (8 GB total)

I can't, and pehaps faster ram at?

    Tommy

    According to the Manual:

    Repair manuals

8 GB is the maximum. I am skeptical. The material is the same as other laptops that can take 16 concerts. Unfortunately, unless you have access to modules of 2 x 8 gig memory to laptop DDR3L-1600 for free, it would be a terribly expensive experience. The memory is easily accessible behind a service Panel, as shown on page 53. You may not use any speed faster than the DDR3-1600.

Frankly 8 GB's penty of memory and even if you can switch to 16 you won't see an improvement in the operating speed. If you must run multiple virtual machines, or make you one montage video or other really demanding maybe 16 gigs of work may be justified.

For General velocity of the computer, the upgrade you want is an SSD. You can replace the hard drive with an SSD and clone all your software and programs through. Personally, I will never own a computer without one.

  • Pavilion HPE h8 - 1360t: no internet connection

I can't connect to the internet.  The wireless router works and connects the other points to the internet, so I know it works at this point.  I am using a cable to the HP Pavilion and tried a different cable and that did not help.  I tried different plug-ins for the router and which did not help.  Tried connecting direct modem HP and rude which did not work.  I think that the problem is with the NETWORK adapter that is on the motherboard.  In the system, he says he's working.  Also indicates that the drivers are the most recent.  But it is not connected to the internet, so I don't know if he knows.

I installed Windows 10 a few months ago and everything worked until about 5 days ago.  Is it possible to check the NETWORK card?  Or what should I look for and then do?

Another problem that may be relevant, it's that I lost the start menu that should appear.  I was right clicking on the Start button for everything that I needed for a few weeks now.

    TIA,

    Jim

    Hey there!

Thank you for visiting the HP Forums! A place where you can find solutions for your problems with the help of the community!

I understand that wireless and the start menu does not work on your laptop.

Please try a few steps recommended below.

Step 1. Click the Start button, then select "Command prompt (Admin)" from the menu. This can run as administrator command prompt.
Step 2. Type the following command and press the Enter key:
    Reg delete HKCR\CLSID\ {988248f3-a1ad-49bf-9170-676cbbc36ba3} /va /f
Step 3. Enter the command below in the command prompt and press ENTER once more:
    netcfg - v u dni_dne
Step 4. Restart the computer, and come back with your parameters of connection Wi - Fi free. You should now see a list reconstituted from all the networks available within the range.

To fix the start menu, please follow the steps recommended below.

    1. launch the Task Manager

Press [Ctrl] + [Alt] + [Del] keys on the keyboard at the same time, or with the right button of the taskbar, and select Task Manager.

2 a new task in Windows

When the Task Manager window opens, click more details to decompress, and then select new task run on the file menu.

    3 run Windows PowerShell

When the run new task dialog box opens, type powershell, check the box to create this task with administrator privileges, and click OK.

    Type the following command: Get-AppXPackage - AllUsers | Foreach {add-AppxPackage-DisableDevelopmentMode-register "$($_.) {"InstallLocation) \AppXManifest.xml"}

I would like to know if it works!

    Have a great day!

  • Pavilion HPE h8 - 1360t: update to Windows 7 will not

I made the fatal mistake of upgrade with a new installation of Windows 7 HJome Premium to Windows 7 Professional. After a lot of hunting to find the various missing drivers of WIndows, I was able to install a fuly operational Windows 7 Pro, but now I find that it will not update. I spent hours to examine and try the many "patches" (often contradictory) found on the Internet, but none of them did actually resolve the problem. The failure of Windows 7 update seems to be a very common problem, so I'm puzzled as to why there is no simple cure proven. It seems that I need to return to the Home Premium, but I thought I would try the forum before travelling.

    Hello

    That's the problem.

Please read this article, in its entirety, by Ed Bott.

The use of the Win 7 cumulative hotfix eliminates the problem.

    Hello

The NVIDIA GTX 970 is a decent graphics card.  Because of the many brands and models of graphics cards, you need to open your PC and do a step inside. Please read this document posted on: a discrete video card selection Guide

If you don't push monitor resolutions since 1920 by 1080 and average use game setting then the NVIDIA GTX 750 TI would be a good choice for use with a power of 300 watts with many games. However, the GTX 970 with a 500 Watt power supply would be good for many games even with the higher game settings.

He'll come down between your choice of performance and the depth of your portfolio.
