Pavilion HPE h8 - 1360t: what USB should I use to create recovery media from Windows 7?

All the instructions/troubleshooting I had clearly said to avoid USBs that are compatible to Windows 8.
Now the question is, is that the information simply obsolete? If I can't have a recommendation on which particular USB I have to use? Thanks in advance.

KingFeather, welcome to the forum.

Here is a Flash drive that I used to Win 7, 8 and 10 of Win Win.  I think that you need a drive that has at least 8 GB of free space.

Original title: Recovery Media Creator prblem

Hello-I have a desktop K430 Lenovo with a 1 to HDD, Win8 64 b, 12 GB of memory. I'm trying to create a recovery disc using a flash drive HP with 32 GB. I bought a 2 GB Tech Universe that should do the job, but the Recovery Media Creator suggest 16 GB.

I installed USB Flash Drive 32 GB HP which is identified as HPv125w (F): the computer and selected for how to manage the unknown data or take any Action. I formatted the Flash Drive ENF to match my file system. I also chose computer /Devices removable and open as portable devices in the hope that the flash player would be recognized by the Recovery Media Creator, but it didn't happen.

I run the following command to create a Recovery flash drive:

Control Panel/All Control Panel Items/Recovery/create a recovery disk/copy the recovery partition from the pc on the recovery drive (I checked this assertion). I clicked NEXT to continue the process.  I was instructed to connect a USB and the reader must be able to contain at least 16 GB. He also said that everything on the disk is deleted. Identity of the flash player (HPv125w (F) does not appear on the page of recovery media and THEN is grayed out. I need help with this problem.  After checking the Microsoft Community, I learned that I could use search from the start page or opening of office and enter recoverydrive.exe and make appear the Recovery Media Creator. I performed this task once again, but I got the same results, as shown above. Thanks in advance.

Upgrade to Windows 8 Pro to Windows 7 Home Premium, 64-bit versions

I have recently upgraded to Windows 8 Pro and there are only 2 drivers available on the site for my laptop model: the Wifi and Bluetooth drivers.  Most of the drivers have been installed by Windows 8, but there are 2 elements in the devices without a driver, PCI Simple Communications Controller and another unknown device manager.

There are some drivers for the Intel 4000 and HD 7670 m but I did no switchable graphics.  There is no center of control of AMD, Intel just one.

To make things worse, my battery life has been reduced to 3.5 hours of 5.5 or 6.0 hours when using Windows 7.  I did all the usual settings in the power settings advanced, as well as for the Windows 7 install so the only thing I can think of is maybe the drivers from the chipset?

Any help I can get would be appreciated.

    Hi brightframe,

Take a look at this document http://goo.gl/CO6uV , which covers some information, including topics on driver problems.

More than likely HP won't to material support for W8 on any system purchased before October 1, 2011. Some updates for W8, most drivers W7 will work in W8.

For anyone with Windows 7 and given update on Windows 8, can run the Upgrade Wizard software, it will scan your PC and report on what is currently installed on your PC is compatible with the W8.

My Precision T5810 has two USB 2.0 ports and 4 ports USB 3.0 in the back and another 3 USB 2.0 and a USB 3.0 to the front ports. (these are controlled by 2 x Intel C610 series/99 X chipset USB controllers for USB 2.0 ports and host controller enhancedhost expandable Intel USB 3.0 for 3.0 ports)

I have the ability to boot from a device of USB storage, for example in the trunk once () menu. Which ports USB should I use so eager to boot from a bootable (USB stick) USB flash drive?

It is an example for which I would like to make this BIOS update using a USB bootable BACK. instead of doing so using methods of Windows System.

Probably is not serious. It will be either boot or not. Pretty easy to test...

Obviously, a USB2 drive will operate as if connected to a port USB3 even USB2.

Connect the USB bootable for the front to turn port if it is recognized as a boot option F12 menu.

  • HP 15 Notebook - r063tu model: what quality of Flash drive required for creating recovery media for laptop 15 HP (r063tu)?

I want to create a recovery media for my laptop HP 15 (model r063tu) on a Flash instead of DVD drive (had a bad experience with the DVD in the past). Should I buy a 16 GB or 32 GB of capacity 3.0 USB drive. Because it will only be to create recovery media, obviously I won't be able to use it for other purposes, so want to buy everything as this is sufficient (and save on costs!). Thank you.

    Hello

32 GB is necessary because the recovery partition is almost always about 20 GB or more.

  • Pavilion HPE h8 - 1360T: Max RAM per slot (4 locations)

    I'm upgrading RAM on my 1-1/2 year old h8 - 1360t.

On the page "Product Specifications and configurable Options" (http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docId=c03425388 & DocLang = in & docLocale = en_US & jumpid =... , under Hardware Options - memory, it says "must select one of the following options:...") 16 GB (4 x 4 GB) PC3-12800 DDR3 (PC3-10600 on this system turns)' (the only 16 GB option - maxed out for WIN7 64 bit).

In addition, in the support page "HP Desktop PCs - the upgrade memory (RAM)" (generic - non-specific to any model) (http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-Pavilion-HPE-h8-Desktop-PC-series/5258496/model/5261720/docum, under "Verification of the quantity of memory can be added to your computer model", it says "to find the amount of memory per slot, divide the maximum amount of memory that the computer can hold by the number of memory locations of the motherboard. Usually, this is the maximum amount for each type of memory. For example, if the computer is able to contain a maximum of 4096 MB (4 GB) memory and the motherboard has four memory slots, install 1 GB (or less) per slot. »

When I check the options of 'Memory' on www.crucial .com, the only 16 GB option it gives is 8GBx2.  Can I do trust what is Crucial says about it (which seems to contradict what the HP options & specifications page)?  I think that the answer is Yes - that HP doesn't care. and options page is just saying how it would come if I had ordered with maxed out at 16 GB RAM - but thought I would ask before ordering memory.

Thank you for responding to this.

I dug a little further on the Crucial site, and it seems that the 8GBx2 actually works:

    Recommended for my computer:

And here's the review of one of the examiners:

The reason, I was a little skeptical about what the HP standard sheet said for the computer I had before this one, HP said a certain maximum size of RAM (below what the operating system should be able to manage).  There was a post on the HP forums who said you could use the larger RAM size (until the operating system can manage) in this model computer.  I tried and it worked fine.

  • What field / class should I use to create a mobile rectangle?

    Hello

I want to create a rectangle that people can focus on, and when it's to the point, people can scroll to the left or right to move the rectangle left and right. What field or the object or the class should I use?

    Thank you!

I noticed that too.  However, since the BB is double buffered, I'm not sure you save anything in fact.  As you move your rectangle, you would have to redraw where it was anyway.

This treatment is all done in the paint of the screen method so effectively treats the screen as a large Bitmap.

If you have created a field for yourself, you could add that field to a Manager, then use this Manager to place this field on the screen and then move.  In fact, it would be fairly simple.  But to do this, you must create a manager who knew how to move the field, then move the field whenever you wanted to move.  Then painting everything would be done by another person (i.e. the Manager and the field.)  In my opinion, costs, overhead and complication just to draw a rectangle of mobile, is excessive.  However if you plan to put different data in the Rectangle, such as text and therefore might want to use a real field of BB to help with its interior design.  To help you with this, I suggest you only consider these three KB articles:
