Pavilion HPE: HP Pavilion HPE System 7 will not be stopped
My computer HP Pavilion HPE will not be closed. It keeps restarting after being closed.
SOLVED. I UPDATED THE BIOS BUT FOUND THAT DID NOT SOLVE THE PROBLEM. I THEN FOLLOW YOUR INSTRUCTIONS TO UNPLUG THE UNIT, REMOVE THE SIDE COVER, REMOVING THE NEWSUM 3V BATTERY FROM ITS HOUSING, PLACE THE BATTERY INTO THE SLOT, BACK ON THE SIDE COVER, CONNECTION AND COMMISSIONING. THEN STOP HIM AND HE REMAINED OFF THE COAST! Thank you very much.

Looks like you have a virus/trojan/worm infection pretty good...
Actually, even if you get executables run again - you can be (read as "will be") better off the coast of a new facility. I tried to connect to Xbox Live on my Xbox 360 to internet using Wi - Fi to my labtop. I want to enable sharing on this topic in the Advanced tab, but I get the message that says WMI is damaged and I need to use the system restore. However, the system restore will not restore the system at any time I choose. What is the solution?
OK you have an ETHERNET cable? (cable for PC to the Modem)
What OS do you have?Heres to help, you need to an ethernet cable, or adapter wireless XBOX 360.
With the ethernet cable, connect one end on the XBOX and one end to your laptop.
You go to control panel > network and Internet > network and sharing Center > change the adapter settings. Then you select your wireless network and your local network. Then you right click and press 'CONNECTION of BRIDGE' (requires administrator privileges). After that your DONE! Just check if it works on your XBOX 360! -
System Restore will not work
Hi FriendFriend,
1. did you of recent changes on the computer?
2. do you have security software installed on the computer?
3. you receive an error message when running the system restore?
I suggest that you put the computer in a clean boot state, and then try to clean boot.
It is possible that some third-party programs installed on the computer is causing the problem.
To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows XP by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.
See the link below to learn more about how to clean boot.

I have a pavilion p6130fpc and it will not see the drives.
I have a pavilion p6130fpc that will not see the drives. I tried 3 different hard drives and change the cable and port twice. I have also reset the BIOS and pressed the power button for five seconds after you disconnect without success. Someone at - it any other ideas?
Willman,
Unfortunately you are not alone. HP has sold a lot of different models with the M2N78 - motherboard. The problem is that the manufacturer of the Board of Directors (not HP) set up a controller chip NVidia which tended to overheat. Once this chip goes, ur stuck. The SATA ports are controlled by this chip.

Pavilion dv6 - 6153cl laptop - will not install the video drivers.
Recently, a friends Pavillion dv6 - 6153cl laptop started bluescreens frequent (many x 50 on igdpmd64.sys). (on Win7 64 bit, completely up to date)
I came across this site and downloaded the current drivers but try as I can, they will not install. The message implies that they are bad drivers, but I have confirmed that they are the 2 parters - driver package AMD, including ATI and Intel drivers for the video "switchable". Most of the AMD install - except the 2 pilots and the C++ package components. AMD checks prior approval from hardware to install and does not renounce it.
The error is:
"this computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing this software.
or it just keeps trying to install it until it skips this step and goes to the next component, which gives the error the failure at the end.I searched this site and found a number of references to similar problems. I've updated the BIOS, all other drivers, removed the old drivers (it is now running on Win VGA drivers), updated part of HP software, run a repair on Windows update and Installer, tried the previous version available, uninstalled C++, cancelled prior unpacking, checked Mode drivers safe, ran HP Support Assistant and tried to manually launch the installation program in compatibility mode admin.
Windows Update also wanted to update the 2 drivers but who do not. Twice. He will probably try again.
I ran sfc and Auditor - alls well with the other drivers.
There is no obvious change that percipitated the question.
The WinUpdate KB2670838 that sometimes causes a similar error has not been installed.
The system works at normal temperatures. And it stopped crashing. But only 600 x screen resolution.
Any suggestions on how to get the drivers to install?
My friend decided to hold the laptop store as they needed more functional. Of course, they were able to update the video drivers well obviously had a problem with an obscure audio problem. (audio drivers have been included in the package of video driver HP that they perhaps do not use) All is now well and unfortunately I cannot report on what drivers, they used to solve the problem. Thanks for your help, Zak
