Pavilion laptop g6 - Wifi problem after upgrade to 8.1 Windows

KIM

I have a Pavilion Notebook - C3M29EA #AB7 g6 and upgraded to 8.1 windows yesterday.

Since then, I was unable to detect my own wifi connection while I am able to detect my neighbours. (Everything worked fine before the update).

Any suggestions?

-Same here.

After an hour of time I will ever come back that I solved the problem.

(1) go on the internet via the wired LAN port

2) update drivers for Ralink wifi adapter

Go: Right click on the wireless network connection icon: properties/Configure/tab Driverr/update driver

(3) after a minute or two of updateing the PC reports that the driver has been updated

(4) pull the network cable and turn on WiFi.

What a pain in the anus,

Anyway, as I said, corrected!

Dansda.

FYI, this has worked for me, finally a solution!

The strangest thing - I have uninstalled the driver Atheros. Do NOT reinstall it. After uninstalling the driver Atheros, a right screen Windows 10 panel immediately appeared style - either on advice of Panel or in the page settings of WiFi, was asleep, can't remember which - that contains an entry box marked my wifi password. • WiFi problem after upgrade to Windows 10

    Greetings!

I read a few posts on WiFi problems after the (improper) upgrade of Windows 10. I have a ThnkPad T530 which I've upgraded to Windows 10 Windows 7 in September (too late to roll back). Here's my question:

I have three computers on my desk. This standard T530 running Windows 10, a ThnkPad E555 running Windows 7 and a Dell running Windows 8. I used all three last Friday. I installed Norton on all three Friday and everything went without a hitch. When I first started their return to the top of this morning, the two others came online as usual. The ThinkPad T530 connected by a router in the company, but has no access to the internet. I can connect to the hotspot on my phone and it connects fine. I tried to turn the WiFi connection and then turn it on again, restart, by killing and restarting the business connection, etc. Nothing changes.

    Help, please

    Ben

    Try the following:

    Open administrator command prompt:

  • WiFi problem after upgrade to OS 10.11.2

    Hello

I have a MBP 2010 I installed OS 10.11.2 yesterday because it was supposed to improve the performance of the wifi.

Since my update the MBP does not see any network wifi more so that all of the other ipad and iphone at home are connected.

I don't know how to activate the wifi to work again.

    Thank you for your help

You have restarted your Mac since the upgrade? If this is not the case, try this, because sometimes a reboot solves things.

You can also try a reset of the PRAM.

If none of the above work:

Try to turn WiFi off tension, and then back on... Or...

Attempt to remove networks that you have connected to in System Preferences/network/WiFi/Advanced button/Preferred Networks. Then see if you are able to connect to a network... Or...

Finally to try: System/Network Preferences, remove the entry from WiFi by selecting it in the networks list and clicking on the sign less . You may need to open the Panel with an administrator account and password. Then add the WiFi network, by clicking on the plus sign by selecting from the drop-down list WiFi Interface .

  • Solve WiFi problems after upgraded 9.3

After installing iOS 9.3 on my mini iPad, the device could not connect to my Airport network.

The busy light was all the time spinnig, but the connection never got established.

I could press the i key to display the IP etc but all entries were completely empty.

I have zero network and turn on the unit and goes out, but not had any luck.

I then abandoned static DHCP and all typed manually and suddenly everything started working, the busy flag disappeared and the symbol of a Wi - Fi connection appeared in the status bar!

This seems to be a good workaround for now, maybe someone finds it useful.

    Hello

Check with the manufacturer of the system, their drivers and documentation support online and ask
their forums (if any) about known problems. Some portable computers cannot be upgraded to Windows 8. 1.

Update the BIOS, drivers low-level chipset and drivers of major on-board and separate devices.
    Especially update the video driver.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It's my generic how updates of appropriate driver: (video/driver update, BIOS, the)
pilots of the chipset and the other major engines)

This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded: run DriverView - set the VIEW to hide
Microsoft drivers - update those without drain in their names (and BIOS and chipset).

-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your system.
For each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver,
Description, version, product name, company that created the driver and more.
    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.html

For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - device - Graphics Manager - note the brand and complete model
your video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now click on
Driver update (this can do nothing as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then right
Click on - uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party
with their own software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.

Now in the system manufacturer (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) site (in a restaurant), peripheral
Site of the manufacturer (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for
BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after
    each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you actually install
presents itself. This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (sound card drivers
in particular that) so to install a driver - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat as
    necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW in the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER device - check
    manually by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

  • Satellite L50 - A - 16 Q - problems after upgrade to 8.1 windows

    Hi all

    I have a problem with my Toshiba Satellite L50 - A - 16 Q.

I decided to update my laptop to Windows 8.1 Win8, unfortunately, it was really bad decision.
After that my computer is very slow. It takes forever to push the power button to be ready to use browser. Even Chrome does not work correctly. Before the update, my computer was big, fast and stable.

Is there anyone who had simillar problem? Is it possible to go back to Windows 8 without destroying my C: drive?
Maybe I should install something more?
    All drivers or another update?

I just install Win 8.1 update and nvidia drivers graphics.

    Hello

To be honest, I put t understand the decision to return to Win 8.
Win 8 contained many bugs that have been fixed with Win 8.1

Two days ago, I upgraded my new Satellite M50 - A Win Win 8 to 8.1.
It took some time but finally win 8.1 run on my laptop and its great!

First of all, you must update the 8 8.1 Win win recommendation of Toshiba:
    Details:
    http://www.Toshiba.EU/innovation/generic/windows8_1-message/
All Toshiba drivers, utility tools must be updated!

With regard to the starting time:
You know the hybrid mode? Default (Win 8) did not stop you probably know other systems like Win 7 offshore. The 8 winning performed the closed hybrid that allows you to boot up the laptop faster. But this has been closed not real mode.

Here is a good description how toggle this mode:

  • Split x Touchpad 2-problem after upgrade to 8.1 Windows

    Hello

I bought this Split x 2 a week ago and it came with WIndows 8. Everything worked great until I upgraded to WIndows 8.1. Now my Touchpad freezes a few times and I have to sign out and then sign back in to my profile to unlock the touchpad sometimes I can get it to unlock by resetting the version touch screen buttom.

I called HP customer service and they said it was a matter of Microsoft and transfer me to them. Microsoft said that it was a hardware issue (HP) and that I had to return to the store where I bought it.
(BestBuy). I took it yesterday at BestBuy and they gave me a knew one. I did the same thing and upgraded to Windows 8.1 and questions of touchpad is back. So fairly sure is not a hardware problem.

    All windows updates are completed

I checked the Touchpad Driver and it is up-to-date.

NOTE: I plugged a wireless mouse for my laptop and when the touchpad freezes wireless mouse still works.

Does anyone know a fix for this problem? Everything else works fine on the laptop is just very annoying when you work and you need to close the session to get your touchpat to work again.

    Any help would appreaciate it.

    Jhon C

    It worked for me.

Go to the Generic USB (two of them) hub in Device Manager.

Go to the power management tab

Uncheck the box allowing the computer to turn off this device to save power.

    Turn it back on.

My touchpad stopped everything by searching for a solution on this forum. I have 'unchecked' boxes and the touchpad are property to life before the reboot. He has worked since then. (three days)

  • Printing problem after upgrade HP solutions Center / windows 7

    Hello everyone,

Since I've updated my PC for windows 7 (and a new version of the HP Solution Center), I can print is no longer any document (the only way to get something out of the printer, print a test through the solution Center page).  Communication is Ok (correct ink levels etc.).  Printed materials appear in the print queue, and then disappear as if they are printed, but nothing is (no error message).

    Any suggestion is welcome.

Hi Vira_Bathwar, welcome to the Forums of HP. The right-click menu is also known as the "context Menu". This can accumulate and get cluttered over time, causing it to be slower. The other possibility is system performance issues. I found a similar thread with a few suggestions that have worked for other people know this symtom. Hi, John. It's quite nervous of a member of the MS forum say that Dell is responsible to operate Windows. It wasn't Dell but MS who claims that Win10 has most of the necessary drivers and if not then the drivers Win7 and Win8.1 would work.

    johnsdagg
I was hoping that maybe Dell could find in the goodness of their hearts to a updated driver IDT 92HDxxx... pretty please?

I doubt that it is possible for two reasons. Dell went from IDT Realtek as the audio seller so probably not more a a contract with IDT, if IDT even exist anymore. A year ago IDT was acquired by another company. I do not know its current status, but it is sure that the acquiring company will not be upgrading old software IDT. Reference Dell itself does not write the audio drivers. Even when IDT was the seller I believe that Win7 drivers are the final versions - no version 8 or 8.1 I think.

The native Windows audio driver can't stand struggling external mic. It is a MS 'known problem '. MS must implement a decision-making support, but there is no indication that it will be. Meanwhile, you have two workaround solutions. You can switch backwards between the natives and the IDT drivers. At some point Win10 could leave the IDT driver works correctly. Or get an outlet cheap usb audio to the microphone. Struggling running out-audio driver usb Windows native usb and so dependent no driver IDT.
