Pavilion P6-2100: usb 3.0

I just installed a USB 3.0 PCIe card.  Shows Device Manager Renesas host controller and root hub are working and the drivers are installed.  But when I insert a disc HP 128 GB flash (USB 3.0), nothing happens, it is not recognized.  If I insert a SanDisk 16 GB (USB2.0) flash drive, it works very well.  Any suggestions on how to get the HP flash drive to work?

I decided to just return the HP flash drive, probably it was DOA.
