Pavilion P7 - 1047C: pavilion p7-1047 CPU cooling fans

Anyone can provide parts for the fan numbers on the back of the central unit and one inside. Certainly in the search to replace the one inside the processor, its been a lot of noise. Yes, I did a thorough cleaning. Also, best place to buy and what kind of screws are used to attach it. Thank you

  • Satellite 1800-514 - CPU cooling fan

My Satellite S1800-514 has now more than seven years. I never had any problems with it. But I'm a little worried now the CPU cooling fan. Basically it runs continuously since I bought the laptop.

I'm a guy of 'maintenance' of a man "fixing after the failure." On the other side, there is truth in "Do not open a market system".

Should I replace or let you replace the fan (cost?; risk?) after 7 years of non-stop work or wait that the failure?
Should I open the notebook and clean the fan and air conditioner?

    Anyone here with experience?
    Thank you

You are absolutely right with him "never touch a running system" ;)
And if you encounter any problem until now, let it well.

But what you could do is, clean the fan and cooling of the modules with a sort of a jet of compressed air to get rid of the dust.

Try this and good luck with your laptop. Seems to be a pretty strong and durable unit.

  • R61i CPU cooling fan

Where can I find instructions on how to clean or replace the CPU cooling fan. Part #42W2779? Also, if I need to replace where would be the best place to buy from?

What is the model number R61i? XXXX-xxx?

The cleaning procedure is very similar to this, use machine oil sewing of WD - 40 and high quality to lubricate the axis of the fan.

    Hello

In my opinion, it's a very bad idea to open Notepad on your own. As you know that books are very sensitive units and if you have no experience you shouldn't do this. I guess that the guarantee is valid for two years and open Notepad, you can void your warranty.

I'm sorry, but I put t see any means cleaning without dismantling because there is no cooling grilles of ventilation and air in the lower corner. On some laptops from Toshiba, the of cold air is visible and the cleaning procedure is much easier.
Before doing something wrong contact partner in your country. It is also possible that there is a problem with the CPU fan and it can be exchanged.

    Good bye

Hello I have a hp pavilion 1304sv g6 and I want to replace the cpu fan, please indicate in what spec I write to find one to buy or if you can show me a link to amazon or something. Thanks for your time.

    Here is the Service Manual:

page 24 it's your fan, since you have intel video dedicated and chipset hm65:

For use in Intel HM65 discrete computer models 641141-001

I couldn't find one for a reasonable price on amazon or ebay. I can find just the fan and you can reuse the heat sink, but which requires an Assembly and disassembly.

You can also get just the radiator part:

  • G62t-350 CTO Notebook PC: broken G62t - 350 CTO Notebook PC cooling fan

I have a 6 yr old G62t - 350 CTO Notebook PC and I am a VERY OLD non-techie. It overheats and goes dormant. I know that the fan is shot because I get an error message saying so. I currently use a "chill mat" to keep this baby running, but I would like to know how to take out and its difficulty. Also, you may need to buy a new fan (?) and, of course, HP (and even Best Buy) say 'we have NO PARTS. " Would be really grateful for the help; older people don't throw away their 'stuff' keep us running forever... If possible. Thank YOU, TimothyT,

A computer is fundamentally different from a model "T". They get obsolete and unusable, so that you can always push a model "T" around town if you can make it work. On a laptop six year, to go on the market of third party to find the parts, but they are available. Best Buy has no idea and no room. They send all repairs laptop for a place in TX and earn money as an intermediary for such things.

First thing you need is the repair:

    Manual

"How-to" for the replacement of the fan is on p. 4-41 to 4-46. This will be a virtual "gut" of the laptop he stripping up to the motherboard and remove the motherboard. It can be done by an amateur who is able to read and follow directions and has a logical mind and memory to keep track of screws and where they are released, so they can be released. The drop-down strip isn't easy, but the real test is winding.

This is the part you need:

GL40 UMA systems (for models 1.1 and 1.2 only) 606573-001

How will I know? Your CPU is a Pentium Dual, which means that it works on the motherboard chipset low-end and it has "integrated" or "UMA" video However, I am fallible, and the intelligent way to go about the repair is to open and remove first and then buy the spare part based on what you already have. Saving a lot of feedback.

Assuming I'm located on the part you need here is:

    http://www.eBay.com/ITM/HP-Pavilion-G72-227WM-Intel-cooling-fan-heatsink-606573-001-B2-Z3-i3-/152206728276?hash=item23703a5c54:g:380AAOSw0UdXsfLg

You want to use this opportunity to eliminate there all the dust and when you go back you need to use good thermal paste applied correctly. We can find you a video well, no doubt.

Post back if you need help most.

You don't HAVE to replace the radiator. It is a block of metal, and nothing can go wrong with it as long as air hoses are not twisted. You can replace the fan only, but it takes a little more effort. I don't think, however, that you can replace the fan without also disconnecting the heatsink heat set. And whenever you break the link between the radiator and the processor, you must clean the surfaces and reapply the thermal paste. Any competent tech would try to do this procedure without the opportunity to own thermal paste.

If you need help with the thermal paste let us know. The key is; more thick, isn't better. In fact the thinnest of the coat you apply the better as it is a cover full of all the heart of processor. Slop not paste in the circuits of the CPU.

Maximum PC Magazine did a study on this a few years back and found no difference between the performance of cheap white composed and stuff in precious metal expensive as long as it is applied with skill.

  • Satellite C650 - Question about cooling fan

I recently bought the Toshiba Satellite C650 with processor i3 Intel and Windows 7 Home. When I see the bottom cover there are no holes for the cpu cooling fan intake air (there only the circle mark on the case under the cooling fan). Pls confirm me it is a manufacturing defect or not.

I also ran a cpu + the base temperature software and find core temp goes up to 72 ° C in one step and I feel very hot blowing through the radiator.

    Hey Buddy,

    > When I see the bottom cover there are no holes for the cpu cooling fan intake air
Who is normal and it s according to the laptop and the material. Different laptops have different cooling systems. This would mean that there are some laptops with no holes directly under the fan air intake. For fresh air holes are placed elsewhere to generate some air flow. If the other pieces of equipment can be cooled as well.

There are already some threads here in the forum and as you can see it's really normal:

    > I also ran a cpu + basic temperature software and found core temp goes up to 72 ° C in one step, and I feel very hot blowing through the radiator.
How did you check the temperature?
Always it is if everything works well don t care about the temperature. In this case, that the laptop could overheat, it would off himself to protect the equipment. ;)
