  I have problem with interface ethernet (wired) in my Satellite Pro U300. I use in many places (home, office, customers) and when I restore in sleep or hibernation mode interface ethernet shows that the * cable is disconnected *, despite the connection of the cable * is * connected and works perfectly with all other devices, laptops and PC.

  The switch also shows that the there no signal link. But re - activate the malfunctioning ethernet port, just disable the ethernet interface and then after 5s (1 s is too short!) turn on.

  I put t have a real solution but I have a few proposals of solution

  First of all, you should check in Device Manager if the network card has been properly recognized. The Ethernet card should be listed under network without any yellow exclamation point cards.

  If the network adapter has been properly recognized, then the next step should be checking the properties of the LAN connection.
  There, you should check the properties of the TCP/IP protocol.
  The settings such as IP address automatically get & address of DNS server automatically get must be marked.

• Pavilion p7-1414 map video noise

  My Pavilion p7-1414 video card began to make noise of fan.  Cleaned and reinstalled.  Always noisy.  If gently, you hold the fan and prevent it from spinning noise constantly.

  Has tried to buy a replacement at Best Buy, and I was told no way.  They don't wear them.  Mine is a PNY210 with 1.0 not 2.0, which is what they have now.

  I recently bought your desktop HP Pavilion p7 1414, I am trying to boot from a CD to reinstall Windows 8 - I put the CD to start first in the BIOS, but when I restart the computer and I have the CD, "press any key to boot from the CD" is not displayed.  It starts just directly to the computer HARD disk in Windows to connect.

  I have 64-bit Windows 8. 6 GB of RAM and a terabyte of HARD drive space.  I'm looking to reinstall Windows 8 for a new start.  Any ideas why it won't boot from the CD?

  Troubleshooting wireless network and Internet (Windows 8)

  In addition, you can watch the the power management of your wireless adapter:
  Turn off the power to the adapter:
  1. open Device Manager. (Win Key + R > type devmgmt.msc > OK)
  2. expand the network adapters.
  3. right click on the Ethernet adapter / wireless, and then click Properties.
  4. click on the power management tab.
  5 remove the check mark next to allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.
  6. click on OK.

• HP Pavilion s5-1414 failed to turn on

  I have a HP Pavilion recently new model #: s5-1414.  When I plug it into the power supply, the Green led lights up as expected.  However, after pressing the power switch on the front, the green light will fade.  Also the CPU fan and case turns on momentarily and then turn off.

  I've tried a few things to debug it (mainly unplugging everything that I can get my hands on), and it turns out that when the power connector 24 pin to the motherboard is disconnected, then the power supply will remain lit after the failover of the front power switch.

  This seemss me like either my power supply went bad (after less than a year?) or some defect (short) has developed somewhere on the motherboard.  Ideas/tips for more debugging?  Any help is much appreciated-thanks a lot!

  PS - I tried the steps in Trouble Shooting Power Supply issues without a bit of luck, and there isn't really a way to ' light is on but turns off after start-up.

  It is a long shot, but I wonder if the power supply unit (PSU) has failed.  This doesn't happen often, but it is not impossible.  The symptoms may be caused by a power supply.  Here's a guide to help you troubleshoot it.

  I bought a power supply several years and it was DOA.  For example, a faulty power supply may be possible.

  Your system has:

  300W internal (100V-240V)

  1 PCI Express x 16 (Gen 2.0)

  Nvidia Geforce GTX 560 ti card needs:

  Minimum system requirements power: 500 W

  Additional power connectors: two 6-pin

  Support of the bus PCI-E 2.0 x 16

  So the most obvious problem is going to be the power supply. You do not want to have at least a 500 W power installed on your computer, and more would be better.

  You need to go to my computer and looking for Palm Pre as a hard drive. Right click and select eject and you stop trying to get this message.

  Other things to try then.

  Go to Device Manager, then click on the '+' next to network adapters. Right-click on the adapter wireless and uninstall it (make sure that the box is check delete the driver). Restart the computer. This will reinstall the driver automatically. Test several times to drops after that.

  If the problem persists, try with Ethernet (wired) to the router to see if the problem occurs here as well, or if it has been limited to a wireless connection.

  If he doesn't produce wireless, try to connect to another wireless network (a friends or public like McDonald's). So no problem, then the problem is on the home network.   Well, you want to disconnect safely your digital camera to the laptop.  It seems that there is not an icon in the box "Show hidden icons" from the taskbar.  If this is the case, you have no choice but to simply disconnect it.  Although it is not recommended, I did several times over the years without causing damage.  Make sure that you have copied all your photos on your computer before you disconnect it.
