Pavilion P7-1414: HP-P7-1414 change graphics card

IM considering changing my 960 GTX graphics card. He would hold in my office and it works with AMD A8-5500?

Hello @zkdls94,

This one has a system recommended 300 w power.  You will not have to upgrade the power supply.  However, since it has the support of the bus PCI Express 3.0, you may still experience a lack of performance.  I can't recommend a diet.  If you choose to go with the first graphics card, you must upgrade the PSU to something that is at least 400 W.  I hope this helps.

Please let me know if this information helps you solve the problem by marking this message as 'accept as Solution', this will help others easily find the information they seek.  In addition, by clicking on the Thumbs up below is a great way to say thank you!

As you can see in this thread, my computer will get full performance GTX 750ti due to my PCI ports.  So even if I upgrade my 500 Watt PSU, I always get a maximum return of 750 GTX ti. So in order to get maximum performance, what I have to get a new motherboard supporting the 750 GTX PCI slots ti?

    Greetings,

Your PC meets the requirements of minimum 300 Watt power supply.

Your PC has the UEFI BIOS necessary for the performance of the 750Ti. Your BIOS version 8.xx supports UEFI graphics cards.

Your PC has a PCIe x 16 slot 2.0. The 750Ti will take place in a 2.0 slot, but at a slightly lower rate. It is not as slow as you think. A 3.0 card works fine in a 2.0 slot.

The 750 will fit in your case, as evidenced by the physical installation of the card described in the link to the other thread user in your message.

No PIN six additional or power connections 8 pins are required to run the 750Ti.

I run a GTX 970 in a 2.0 slot and it works fine.

You need to enter the BIOS (Setup) to disable secure boot and select start inherited before installing the 750 into the slot. You must also uninstall the current graphics drivers before installing the new graphics card. You need to return to the graphics drivers generic windows before installing the 750Ti GTX.

    See you soon!

  • HP Pavilion 500-130DE: HP Pavilion 500-130DE do not see the graphics card in windows and can not change the primary graphics card.

So I got a new (TG 640) graphics card for my pc. I tested it on another computer the day before. Worked well. I plugged my HP Pavilion 500-130DE and started. I changed my slot onboard DVI cable to the GT 640 and cable says no signal. While the pc was still on I switched the cable back to the integrated graphical location motherboard and got the windows login screen. So I thought that BIOS yet configured when the integrated graphics card (Intel HD 4600). I turned off the pc and booted to BIOS. But I've never seen a such limited BIOS before! Only thing you change is boot order. I saw a tab advanced but could not find the settings that I needed. In the only device manager devices that appears is the HD 4600. So I checked power is 300W should be sufficient for a map of 75W (only need the PCI for power). Someone knows how to fix this?

  • HP Pavilion p7-1154 does support Dual AMD graphics card?

I have a Pavilion p7-1154 - serial number {removed privacy} - the motherboard is an AAHD3-HB (stock MB) made by Pegatron. I updated the stock 16 GB of Corsair vengeance 1600 6 GB 1333 RAM and upgraded the processor an AMD A6 3600 to an AMD A8-3850, all according to the guide of HP upgrade for this machine. I've also updated the PSU of 300w for a 500w 80Plus Bronze certified PSU Corsair stock.

Now that's what I'done this day - what I want to know is the MB (AAHD3-HB) does support Dual AMD graphics card, using the proposed graphics cards, I would use a Radeon 6670 GPU.

Mike, after consultation with the other members, I think that double graphis is unavailable because it is not indicated in the specifications.

However, here is a Youtube video on the CPU.  If you do not find that you were able to use it by a change in the BIOS, please share this information with the forum.  Thank you!

  • Message "no Audio output device is installed" after changing graphics card

    Hello

Thanks in advance for your help. I have a desktop pavilion, model No. KZ754AA. I just got a new graphics card installed, and as has been done, the above message appears in my "speaker" icon. devices and when I click on playback devices are NVIDIA hdmi output, however, it is said also they are not connected but I know that the cable is properly connected. I used to have installed Realtek I think, but that has now disappeared. I tried d/l of HP drivers, but it still did not work. Help, please. Thank you

    Hello:

The solution is simple, but obscure.

So, I'm happy that you came here before making a lot of troubleshooting that most of us would try unless we knew that the answer is simple.

    Why it happened...

Your PC think you have installed not only a video card, but also a sound card, because it has built-in HDMI sound card.

Thus, he dutifully automatically disabled the integrated audio system as it disabled the embedded video.

Restart the computer and press the F10 key at the beginning of the HP welcome screen to access the BIOS.

Looking for an embedded audio setting normally in the device setup menu.

You will find it the value auto or off.

Change the setting to "Enabled". Save the setting it by hitting the F10 key and again when you go out to save settings and exit.

When you restart in Windows, you should now have your new built-in audio system and when you plug an HDMI cable from your video to your TV card, you should then get the HDMI audio.

  • Internet does not work after changing graphics card.

    Hello

I have a HP Pavilion HPE h8-1212 on windows 7 (64-bit) and I changed my graphics card for an AMD Radeon HD 7790 so like my case.

after reboot and installation of my graphic card drivers, I noticed that I have yet 2 "Bluetooth devices" (bluetooth device) and I don't have a Wifi connection. I am currently connected to my internet via an Ethernet cable.

Here are some screenshots of my problems:

    Please help me with this.

The wifi card, if it's a minimap, as it is in the image, should have had two sons goes to the card wifi which were channelled through the case.  These were responsible for picking up the wifi signals to work.  Since the screenshot shows the weak or no signal, I suspect this is the question.

As to describe the process of removing antennas, I couldn't find the following steps.

Before you start: Remove the access panel, the collar, the higher optical drive and the upper bezel.

    1. Detach the antennas wireless the wireless LAN card.

    2. Cut the cable tie fixing connectors antenna for the front i/o cable harness.

    3. Pull the antenna cables without wire through the access hole in the upper part of the unit.

    4. Pick up each cable hooks fixing the top of the page of the PC.

    5. Detach the screws for each antenna.

    6. Pull the antennas of the unit off.

In the end, it seems that the antennas are routed right under the top cover.

    Hello

IM using a hp p6140 5.5 years in
It comes with a processor Core 2 duo e 7400 2.8ghz, 3 GB of ram ddr2, a ms 7525 Boston motherboard hard drive 7200 RPM, a geforce 210 that was used during the last years of 2.5 and a power supply 250W which ive already upgraded to a corsair vs450w
now, I want to upgrade my gpu gtx series and ive narrowed it down on the

MSI NVIDIA N750-2GD5/OC 2 GB GDDR5 graphics card

.. IM aware that bottleneck issues could be there... I want to ask is if my system supports the card properly...

the version of the BIOS - Phoenix - AwardBIOS v6.00PG

a pci express x 16 slot is present and the card is 5.7 inches and it must adapt...

(the main problems I see people complain are regarding bios and incompatibility)... so... can I use this card?

    Hey, you're welcome!

No, if it is not broken, do not fix.  If everything works fine, just keep it in game.  If you start to have problems, such as the computer freezing or startup strangely, you may need to change the power supply.

Good game to a former player.

  • HP Pavilion 500-319NA: new to < see below > graphics card

    Hello

I am new to the computer upgrades and know almost nothing about it, so please keep any simpler answer and understanding as possible.

My computer is the "HP Pavilion 500-319na".

It contains the graphics card "NVIDIA GeForce 705" (I think it's a 1 GB model)

There's a game coming out next year called Overwatch, this graphics card is unable to play the game, so I decided that I want to upgrade this Christmas.

The graphics card, I have drawn attention is the "ASUS 2 GB GeForce GTX 750 Ti.

    I have mainly two questions:

    • Is my computer compatible with this graphics card?
    • the Geforce 705 dosent require any kind of power, but one that I want (the GTX 750 it) seems to require a power adapter 6 pin or something.

If anyone could help with any of these things it would be wonderful.

    Thank you, Callie

You'll be glad you asked, you need to clarify some issues.

This is your computer.  There really a 180W external PSU?  Or is the power supply inside the box?  There were some variations in generation of HP model #.   If internal, envy is the coast?

Your computer has a 2.9 Ghz CPU... but Overwatch requires a 3.3 - 3, 46 Ghz CPU. That will slow down the game.

GTX660 (140W) is far superior to the GTX750Ti (60W), but power is a problem. AQgain, need you a new power supply, but it's an internal model.  See above question. !!!

You also have a problem of compatibility of the UEFI BIOS.  The GTX750Ti is OK, but the GTX 660 requires BIOS settings inherited.

  • HP pavilion e073ed 17: you can replace the graphics card for hp pavilion 17e073ed

I have a HP pavilion 17e073 ed and I want to replace with a better graphics card. The problem is that I can't find anywhere if I can replace the graphics card. I want to replace it for the best benefits of games. I already bought an SSD and some more RAM.

    Hello:

There is no graphics removable, replaceable and upgradable 'cards' in your laptop.

The graphics quite part of the motherboard, and to improve the graphics, you would have to see if there is a motherboard listed in the guide service and maintenance for your laptop that has better graphics.

Replace the motherboard would be a labor intensive and expensive project.
