Pavillion HP-p6380t: computer hangs on the first screen

Have HP Pavillion HP-p6380t (bought in 2010) which hangs to the first screen and does not start. The computer is progressing to the point where a repair disc may start or keyboard and mouse can operate. It stops just dead in its tracks. Need help.

Solved! Read in Google search to disconnect all USB connections. First disconnect the computer went to start. Can't say why it worked, but I'll take it.

    Hi random34,

Did you uninstall the previous graphics driver before starting your PC with GTX card?

This map requires an 8 pin and one 6-pin. Check your power connections.

Try to start in safe mode. Press F8 repeatedly at start. Uninstall the incorrect drivers if applicable. Install the graphics drivers from Nvidia.

Some recent graphics cards require the UEFI BIOS.

  • Computer hangs on the installation of the Windows updates

I was out of town for two weeks.  On my return, I turned on my laptop and downloaded Wondos 27 updates and started to install. However, when he started to install the update # 26 he hung up. It was like that for three hours. I turned off the computer and restarted. He said "starting windows" and then returned to say "Windows is installing update 26 27.» If please do not turn off the power or turn off the computer. !!! It's as if he's stuck in some kind of loop. How should I address this problem so the computer will start and not get hung up again? My computer operating system is Windows 7 Vista Premium edition.

All I have to do is click on the little box that says locked and I go back to what I was doing. I don't want to do this. I have magic jack phone service and when she did this, I do not get calls? Is it possible that turns off. I have only one user of this computer.

Backup, backup, backup, this is something everyone needs to do, and if you had you would have had your photos. Now that being said, you can get them at the root of your c: / in a folder named Windows.old. Good luck, but I'm afraid that this may turn out to be an expensive lesson.  Hope this helps and if you need another post to help and we will be happy to help you.

  • After that windows update computer now hangs at the login screen, no error message, just restarts.

I have tried safe mode, does the same thing; tried to use the Windows Vista disc to do a repair, no luck; also I tried restoring the system (from disk), no restore points however.
The problem appeared after restarting the computer during the night.  The problem began to be able to connect, but the screen would go blank with just a pointer (KSOD).  Has tried some of the suggestions on this problem, including by eliminating sys newspapers, which did not work as well as reinstalling the video driver, with no luck.  Finally tried a system restore, returned 1 week (before the windows updates).  Now, the computer becomes just the login screen sits there for about 5-10 seconds then restarts immediately.

I just had this happen to my laptop that has no external references. This is a new (September 09) ASUS K50ij with Vista 64-bit installed. I bought the Win 7 OS to replace, but have been waiting for the time to play with it... Last Monday, the update itself and invited to restart so I have done what I was busy with and enabled him to restart which is the only thing to do now... restart, the blue screen for a nano-second, then restart... etc. Same problem with safe mode and safe mode with networking, or with the box... anyway, someone very smart recommended that I use another computer (Fortunately, I have several) to download free Imgburn (which works easily), then get Ubuntu (Linux Operating System free download) burn image from the Ubuntu disc, put the disc in the drive of the computer crashed (there is a little hole next to the button you) can insert in a safety pin to release the door when the power is off) change the setting in the BIOS of the computer has crashed by restarting and pressing F2 until you get the menu BIOS... go to the start menu and choose Start from the CD, and then press ENTER. When the computer starts, it will see the drive and go to a menu to select the language, then next choice is "try Ubuntu without making any changes to the computer. It will boot the disk and allow you to view and copy ALL your files off the power on an external drive, which is what I did... including my Outlook .pst files that include all my saved emails my calendar and contacts, etc! WOOHOO! has got all my photos, documents, etc. The only thing that I didn't know how to get is my favorite... How to enter in the browser from another computer.

If after this, an hour or more than make sure I got all the important data... I decided to see if anyone had a solution to this problem just fixing... I probably won't update again because Microsoft sends them and offers no solutions to the problems they have caused and nobody pays me for all the time I've lost get to get my stuff back and also to solve the problem they have caused. A update on my other laptop Win 7 zapped my outlook program and even reinstall it didn't solve this problem, even more work to do there, but looking in the files using Ubuntu's File Explorer, I found a hidden file that is used to repair the files .pst outlook called scanpst, or something that nearby.

In any case, if someone has a solution to uninstall the recent update or to determine how it corrupted my user profile (which is the general consensus) please let me know.
Thank you and good luck to you!

  • HP probook 4520 s held the first screen of the logo

I was installing windows when the system which took place facing upwards. When I rebooted, it crashes on the first screen of the hp logo. where written "press ESC to display the boot options. without key works ceiling light flashes several times and turn off.

When it is connected to your desktop computer, can you feel if he goes? When you say that the Bureau does not detect the hard disk, which is in the bios, or when you open my computer?  If the drive is recognized in the bios, you can buy a software like ntfs getback who will try to rebuild the fat table so you can copy items over to the hard drive of the desktop computer.  You can download a trial version that will let you know if it will work, but you will have to buy it to actually transfer the software on disk from the desktop. You can also try to download the certification test of the drive manufacturer that will fix the bad sectors and some minor problems. SpinRite will try to retrieve data for each of the areas that may be of low bits set not completely (upwards or downwards). If the Office does not see the drive in bios, the circuit board on the hard drive is bad or the disc is not rotating. If you gently hold the disc in hand and slightly turn the disc, you should feel a gyroscopic effect of the spinning drive. If you do not feel the disc spins, the motor is probably bad or racing circuit on low hard drive circuit is bad. Sometimes (perhaps 50%), you can try to replace the circuit board with the exact same model Platinum (even if you buy the same model of car, they may have different circuit boards).  The problem is that newer readers have a flash memory chip that stores the settings for each specific access accurate and speed reader. If the exact same Platinum turns the drive, but can't read well, he have to unsolder the flash chip and move it to the new circuit board. Then, the chances improve for recovery. If the new Platinum will not turn the engine, the engine is bad. You will need to send the drive to the manufacturer or to a recovery company that can remove the platters and mount them on their equipment, calibrate and read it (probably $1000 + without warranty). There are people who post how to break on the old engine and replace it with a new one, but I think it would be a mistake to try.

  • T43 will not move past the first screen

My mother gave me this thinkpad because he had a virus (Windows shield Center) and he locked her out of her computer. She could always use Safe Mode, however. When I initially got tried to start, but he walls me an error message "missing hal.dll" and told me to reinstall windows, which I did not.

I thought that this could be a fluke, but now the ThinkPad won't even go past the first screen that says "To interrupt normal startup, press the blue Access IBM button" without worrying if I press that key, or, the function keys.

This is as far as I came. What are my next steps?

This looks like a start of a failure of SouthBridge chips which is very common on these machines.

Remove the keyboard (but keep that he attached), the palmrest and the wireless card.

Turn on the machine, then * gently * press the big square under the slot wireless chip.

If the machine starts normally whenever the square is pressed, a SouthBridge chip failure.

    Good luck.

    Hello

    1. have you made changes on the computer recently?

    Method 1.
It is possible that a third-party application is causing the conflict.
You are required to perform a clean boot to find the program that is causing this conflict and then disable or remove.
How to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" State
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310353/en-us
Note: When you are finished troubleshooting, follow the steps as explained in the article to reset the computer to start as usual.

    Method 2.
Also I recommend you to update the card drivers video from the manufacturer's website and check.
Note: You can visit the website of the manufacturer of the computer to get the latest drivers for Windows XP and install it.

    I hope this helps.

  • Windows XP hangs at the splash screen (logo). Dim screen when hooked.

I do have problems starting XP 2 on two different hard drives.  I'm more concerned at this time is described in the title.  I bought a new hard drive (Western Digital Caviar Blue WD3200AAKS 320) to back up the data on my old hard drive, due to the other XP startup problem and installed Windows XP Home edition, as well as my motherboard drivers, etc..  It starts very well, at first, but then started a curtain to the start screen (and the splash screen is very low in this case).  I tried to remove some additional applications provided with the motherboard, no luck.  I tried to reinstall XP several times, and who has not helped.  I tried to update my video driver, running chkdsk, running Windows Memory Diagnostic (which does no problem), cleaning the registry with Advanced System Care Pro, unplug all USB devices and network cable, etc.  He continues to hang at the splash screen (weakly).  When I try to start in safe mode, it hangs at "mup.sys.  So far, I'm able to get XP to start by repeated restart later...  I searched the web to find a solution for this and have found no definitive answer.  I just ordered another new hard drive and Windows 7.  I intend to dual boot with windows 7 the new HD and XP on the current disc (assuming that this problem can be solved!).

My other problem is on my old sister Hitachi 160 GB IDE hard drive.  A few months, our PC stop working.  After buying a new power supply (Corsair TX650w) and determine that he was not a power supply problem, I bought a new motherboard (GA-MA785GT-UD3H), (AMD Phenom II X 2 555 3.2 Ghz) CPU, RAM (CORSAIR XMS3 DHX 4 GB (2 x 2 GB) 240 - Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333), and some new fans (old system died due to heat issues).  Once I had it put in place and I tried to boot XP from my old drive, he just went in a "boot loop".  He gets to the XP splash screen, goes black and restarts, again and again.  I tried setting the installation of XP with XP CD 3 or 4 times, without success.  This question is not as big of a deal to me now, because I now have the new hard drive with the new number to start XP (intermittent).  My main goal with the old hard drive was to save all my data.  That is, life turns on if I can't start XP on this drive (the one with the boot loop).

    Thank you for your time!

The BIOS update has * seems * solved the problem!  I rebooted it 4 or 5 times, but also completely off the PC and it starts today.  Did not repeat the problem so far!

  • Windows Vista hangs at the Welcome screen. Can anyone help?

From early December 2009, my Dell Inspiron E1505 said hung up on the 'Welcome' screen, leaving me stuck and cannot use the computer. It would do this every time I tried to start it. Since that time I switch Safe Mode and using the restore system to get it going again. Sometimes, I have to use restore the system several times to allow to start correctly. More recently, I learned that when it hangs at the Welcome screen, I can press "Ctrl-alt-del" and then my computer will load up the icons after about 10 seconds and then it is ready to go.

I finally started to 'Sleep' mode, and then it starts right up when I want to use it. The problem is that he sometimes stops for updates, or crash if I overload it somehow, and then it's a big problem, it'll still do. ... Well, now I can turn it on by pressing the "Ctrl-alt-del' when it clings to the host, but I don't feel comfortable making. I'm afraid that it will eventually mess worse.

I have not installed any new software or downloaded anything by email, with the exception, so I don't know what caused this problem. I have the feeling that something has been altered during the automatic update of windows.

Can someone please help me understand what caused this problem and what to do to fix? I need a walkthrough very detailed, as I am not a computer technician. My experience with computers is very limited, but I do not know a few basics such as obtaining safe mode, etc. My warranty with Dell has long expired. My computer is 3 years old. With the exception of this problem Windows Vista worked great shape. I liked Windows XP much better, but Vista was 'correct' that day until this problem came.

    Thank you: Jean

    Hello

Given that the system restore works sort the problem is likely corruption at a certain level.

Start - type this in the search box-> find COMMAND at the top and RIGHT CLICK – RUN AS ADMIN

If necessary try a stronger set of controls:

From the COMMAND prompt from a floppy boot or the Recovery Console/environment (if you have) run these:

    Chkdsk /f /r

    RESET

    sfc/scannow

    RESET

Form1.getInstance () is called from startApp() * and * whenever this happens, a new instance of Form1 is created and set as the current i.e. display.setCurrent (new Form1()). Iwould think calling incoming call pauseApp() and when call ends, startApp() is called again.

I suggest you use System.out.println see entities (Form1@1234abcd and Thread.currentThread ()) in lanceApp and other "reminders".

  • SWITCH UPWARDS A NOTICE + PRIVACY PROBLEM WHEN THE FIRST SCREEN LOCK

I can't pass up a push notification when arrive on the screen with your finger, the little thing do missing since (I also have an iphone 5s and I can still do it, also with 10 IOS installed on it) is so very strange to me, I tried to change phone etc... but nothing to do.

Then, my second problem is confidentiality on the first screen of the phone lock. When I receive an email from outlook, for example, anyone who does not know my zaihon can open, reply, delete, even for the notification of whatsapp etc...

If anyone knows that a solution would be very nice to share.

  • Mysterious black border (only) at the bottom of the first screen iPhone

I have an iOS application that I wrote in 2011, and I'm trying to upgrade to the latest iOS and devices.  I have a thick black border at the bottom of the first screen of my request, for most combinations Device/Simulator and iOS. This is * not * a black border at the top and at the bottom of the screen problem, who has been treated exhaustively in the forums.

There is only a single black border at the bottom of the screen. Also, the border is only broadcast on the first screen of my request, that has buttons to go to the rest of the application. Even if I navigate to the first screen of my request, somewhere inside the application, the border becomes visible. There is no black border in the other forms in the application, apart from the first screen.

It is * not * seems to be a launch image problem. I have a picture of launch, [email protected], and the launch image works fine. Here are the setups I get or don't get the black border:

iPhone 4S (iOS 9.2) Simulator - without black border

iPhone 5 (iOS 9.2) simulator - black border

iPhone 5 (iOS 8.1.3) device - without black border

iPhone (iOS 9.2) 5s simulator - black border

    iPhone 5 s (iOS 9.1) peripheral border - black

iPhone 6 sec more (iOS 9.2) Simulator - black border

iPad 2 (iOS 9.2) Simulator - without black border

iPad (iOS 9.2) air Simulator - no black border

iPad 2 Air (iOS 9.2) Simulator - without black border

Pro Simulator (iOS 9.2) iPad - thick black border all around the application window

retina Simulator (iOS 9.2) iPad - without black border (at the bottom of the screen)

I tried everything I could think of, but nothing seems to work.
