PC Cleaner, Ouch! Can't connect after I use it? I'll have to use another computer. Can't access mine?

Good yesterday, I decided to come here to try to find out why I kept getting "Windows Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close." Does this every time I tried to access my computer the files/folders. (downloads, program files, etc...). Well, saw some success messages on PC cleaner and how he solved this problem and others. So I downloaded and executed. Once he was done, I clicked on the option "Fix All". Has done his thing, and then I restarted my computer. Well when I get to the Log-In and click on my user icon, it says connection... and returns immediately (as fast as a breath), once told your settings, the exclusion by the vote? I have not been able to log on since. Help. This happened directly after PC Cleaner has done what ever he did (after restart). Connect to my computer makes me nowhere.

I can access BIOS but nothing to change there.

Do you mean that no matter what you try to do to log in normal or any kind of safe mode, you continue to see a message loop that look like this:

Starting Windows...
Loading your personal settings...
Once your settings...
End the session...
Loading your personal settings...

End the session...

If so, it is usually a sign that your system is currently or has been reached by malicious software.

I don't think that these links KB will work and KB307545 there's a lot of work - and you don't have symptoms suggestive of a necessity to implement KB307545.  You have symptoms of a file userinit.exe lack.

There is a malware that removes, corrupts, or replace the file c:\windows\system32\userinit.exe and/or some registry settings associated with it.  It is also possible that your anti-virus quarantined (actually deleted) file c:\windows\system32\userinit.exe, thinking that he was in some way afflicted.

The userinit.exe is the file that processes your login in normal mode or any kind of Mode safe, so if it is missing or broken in some way it creates a never-ending cycle of failed logon attempts in any mode for all users.

If you have some other affliction and used the Configuration System (msconfig) utility to add the option/SafeBoot for STARTING systems. INI to solve some problems, it will present the same symptoms a userinit.exe file missing.

Did you use the Configuration System (msconfig) utility to add the /SAFEBOOT option to the BOOT. INI on your system?

If the userinit.exe file is missing or damaged in some way, it is usually easy to just replace. Even if the replacement of the file will let you log in again, just replace the file is not solved the problem - it fixes the symptom of the problem.  When you log in again, you must do a little more work to relieve your system of any malware got your system distressed in the first place.

It can also modify your registry so instead of the registry pointing to userinit.exe, that it points

I have not seen the problem of wsaupdater in a long time, but the absent userinit.exe is common.

The following guidelines cover situations more than the article, but you should read the article anyway to figure things out a little better.

AprΦs the dΘmarrage on the Console and recovery after run chkdsk/r with success, you should be in the C:\WINDOWS folder and the userinit.exe file is in the SYSTEM32 folder then change to the system32 folder by typing:

CD system32

Check the presence of the userinit.exe wsaupdater.exe. They may be there or they may not, but we need to know:

Userinit.exe dir (post results - the file exists or not)
wsaupdater.exe dir (post results - the file exists or not)

No matter what you find, replace in any case the userinit.exe according to a copy elsewhere on your system.

There is a copy backup of the userinit.exe in the c:\windows\system32\dllcache folder then copy it to the
the c:\windows\system32 folder.

In the c:\windows\system32 folder, enter:

Copy c:\windows\system32\dllcache\userinit.exe c:\windows\system32

If the file is not found is dllcache, this can work according to your installation:

copy c:\windows\servicepackfiles\i386 c:\windows\system32

If even that fails, you can get a userinit.exe on a Flash DRIVE or a floppy disk and replace it.

If you have a bootable installed genuine XP installation CD and the CD is drive X, unzip the file
leave the CD-ROM i386 folder to the c:\windows\system32 folder by entering this command:

Expand x:\i386\userinit.ex_ c:\windows\system32

Answered in the affirmative if invited to replace the existing file and then you should see a
message 1 file (s) has been expanded.

Remove the CD and enter the command "exit" at the Recovery Console prompt to reboot your system.

Report your results.

    I have a laptop (second user) but the original xp excavation has been erased.

    the only copy of xp I have is an oem (perchased with another computer that is now irreparably) version Derrick has not been used for a couple of year.

    I would like to know if I can successfully (and legally) install this copy of xp on my laptop (which also has a key product mounted below, which probably corresponds to the operating system that was previously in this topic.

    I have 2 accounts on my Windows Vista PC. Administrator (the built-in account) and the user account that has administrator privileges. I ran the command:

    thinking it would activate the administrator account and post it on the Welcome screen. It returns "command completed successfully". Now that I am trying to access an account, I get an error of inconsistency of name of user and password.
    I don't know what the part "/ active on" the command has been understood. I tried like password, but it didn't work.

  • Cannot connect wireless C4780 using mac/airport

    I searched through the previous posts but can't seem to solve this problem.

    I will try to give all the relevant information...

    I have a new MacBook Pro - Snow Leopard OS x 10.6.4.  I have a wireless connection to the internet with an airport that is about 5 years old & have had no problems with internet connections.  I use a WPA security to access my wireless network.

    After unpacking the printer, there is a note that says that the cd is not compatible with mac OS X 10.6 & don't not to install.  All the functionanlity is included with Snow Leopard.  If I plug it in with the usb cable, I can print.  I can't understand how to set up wireless well.

    When I look in Preferences system under printers, printer stands, but is disconnected.  If go into options... pilot, it's that nothing indicated for this printer.  Another post mentioned about 'add the wireless client', but this option is grayed out in my menu.

    I'm savvy software - but not so much with the end of material, so please give very specific instructions on what I need to do to try to get it up & running.

    Well, the printing functionality is built into the OS, but not the possibility to set up the network portion of the printer.

    I don't know how old your airport is - is it a form of fungus or a square box?  If the later, you can use WPS and I can help you.  If the fungus, you will need to load the software.

  • Failure of KB967912 Windows Vista updated 10 x today and the computer can't access internet

    My new ACER Vista Office tried to install this update 10 x, today. It started while I was working this afternoon. Until that moment, I had a complete connectivity via a cable CAT5e LAN accessing a router and cable modem. Later, I lost the first internet and local network access. Before that, I had worked with Firefox, Windows Media, and financial software and everything was accessed successfully the ' net. Then, I tried to configure Microsoft Outlook 2007 to get my email. His inability to access my cable provider was the first idea I had that I didn't have connectivity.

    Each time, I had the exclamation point on the stop switch and Vista stops with the view that he was installing "Update 1 of 1. However, whenever I rebooted the update didn't install.  Also, I had to restart my modem and router every time to regain access to the internet for short periods of time; in less than 4 to 7 minutes, all access to the internet is lost again. The error code was Code BC2 the last couple of times, but before that I also got error Code 80200053 when an Office update also failed to install. (I was able to install the Office update successfully, after another restart and cycle the modem to regain power connectivity).

    Help! FYI, I had to find another computer even to post this question!

    The KB967912 refers to the essentials automatic updates. A workaround for this problem is uninstall all MSN "stuff", resettlement using the latest version, which includes this update.

    The certificate of authenticity is not the product key.  It stands for "certificate of authenticity".

    If you speak with a current product key already used on another computer, the answer is no.
