PC crashed and got stuck in a reboot loop

Hello, we have a Dell Inspiron 531, and this morning, he had a big crash and then got stuck in a boot loop, blue screen and trying to fix the system. My OH stop it manually. The only change made to the computer of yesterday has been an update to iTunes.

I just tried to start safe mode and he just tried to restart again and showed a blue screen with a stop error message - I think as a 000000008.  I tried startup repair and he attempted repairs for a few minutes and has now arrived to the top with a message "Startup Repair cannot repair this computer automatically. Here are the details:
Signature of the problem:
Problem event name: StartupRepairV2

Then, there was a message saying remove all devices that have been recently joined. But it is not all delete.
Some background info-
There was a problem with the graphics card driver, causing a blue screen (code 116) shortly after the start to the top. In summer, we opened the folder and emptied all the dust, and he stopped the problem. However, he's back. I bought another graphics card, but have not had the opportunity to install again.
There is also a problem with Windows Update. He has mysteriously stopped working in mid-October.  He attempted to verify updates and then gives an error code 80070005. I started to try to solve this problem a few weeks ago looking for malware. A scan with Kaspersky Internet Security found nothing, but when I run the Microsoft Safety Scanner it finds three feats of Java. He eliminated two and partially removed the other. I always try to get rid completely of partially removed but did not have a lot of time this week to look at it, and the computer seems to be working ok otherwise.
I also had problems trying to update Adobe Reader recently (' error writing to the file C:\Config...) Make sure you have access to this directory").  I don't know if these things are connected. But thought it would be better to talk about.
Thank you very much in advance for your help.

Hello

The error code indicates that the drive is defective and must be replaced.

You will be able to connect the drive to another computer or you may use a live cd to backup their data on an external drive.

Hope this information helps.

If you were able to start your computer normally by using the system restore, then refer to the following method, and try to update your windows.

Method 2: To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

Note When you perform a clean boot, you may temporarily lose some functionality. When you start the computer as usual, the function returns. However, you may receive the error message, or you can experience the original behavior.

Note: follow step 7 to reset the computer to start as usual after the boot process.

  • Reference Dell Vista stuck in a reboot loop must restore

I have a dell desktop computer I bought from rent a Center about 2 years ago. It comes with Windows Vista. They don't did me not a recovery disk. I had a lot of questions and restore points were not helping, so I went through f8 and fact a reset. After that she completed successfully I clicked on finish, and it began to restart, which I expected.

Now, however, he is stuck in a reboot loop. It gets to the screen that has Dell on this, with the f2, f12 options in the right corner, and then start again again and again. I tried to press f8 and hope go in safe mode and see what was up, but f8 does not open and f2 and f12 are not help at this point. they give me boot priority and so on but no real start until now kind of options. It is possible that windows doesn't have factory loaded, and now I have simply no operating system?  They say they have a reset disk can I come down and use, but im wondering if this will help because I can't really get anywhere or if im just done...

No messages online that I was looking for really specific my situation...

    Hello

    ·         Did you follow the steps in this article to restore the computer to factory settings?

If a factory restore full does not lead to a fully functional version of Windows then you have a hardware problem. I came in contact with Dell technical support.

  • HP Windows 7 stuck in a reboot loop

    Hi all

Recently, I accidentally upgraded my HP Envy 14 from Windows 7 to Windows 10 and let the month pass without switch back.  Due to one host of other problems that have arisen, I decided to Windows 7, so I took out my old Windows 7 recovery disc to re-install Windows 7.

He successfully reformats the hard drive and everything seems to go well until the end of the installation, when all of a sudden it shuts off and restarts.  He will then get as far as the 'starting windows' screen before it restarts again, each time giving to the screen "Windows is not stopped successfully", is not just a part of the installation process.  He's stuck in this reboot loop.

    Any advice?

    Couple comments:

I have created a startup repair disk and ran the Startup Repair, but he reported having found no problem.  Very well.

When you try to start the computer in safe mode, I get to the screen "Windows is set up your computer for first use" and then informs me that Windows cannot complete the installation in safe mode.  He gets up to now in normal mode, however.

The battery is thus burned - can install Windows on a computer that has failed the test of the battery?  I don't see how there would be a relationship, but I'm really running out of ideas.

Thanks for any help/insight you have!

Eventually the recovery disc files are corrupted, try the following:

    Download Windows 7:

For 5 years, Microsoft made it fairly easy for users of the Windows 7 operating system to get reinstall media. If you have lost your support disc or installation retail collection; either it has been damaged or defective; You can download a copy of the edition that you have licensed from a membership site called Digital River. More recently, Microsoft ended the availability to reinstall media that you can download as a. File ISO in Digital River, which is a digital reproduction of an optical disc.

It was particularly convenient for people who could not easily get the manufacturer's recovery media, did not want to pay the fees required to get or preferred a clean configuration without the software packaged manufacturers or even a recovery partition does not work. It's easy to use, all you had to do was reinstall and reactivate using the product key located on the certificate of authenticity and download all the drivers on the manufacturers website.

Given that this option is no longer available, what are your options? See the article for more details:

How to: What are my options for Windows 7 reinstall media?

Make sure you scroll down and read the section:

What to do if you cannot get your manufacturer recovery media, refuse to use or to buy it or the Microsoft Software Recovery Website does not work?

  • Pavilion dv6636 stuck in a reboot loop with no boot

    Hello

I have a Pavilion dv6636 purchased on Oct / 2007 which saw a reboot loop with no boot. By pressing the Start button, I can see the hood leds on, power on (as well as the port for illuminated around blue AC adapter), HD led being turned on once and can hear the pilot DVD is powered and the fan turns, then, after about 10 seconds (while the screen is always black), he stops, remains off for 5 sec , then restarts, stuck in this loop. Experiences I've already done:
    -hard reset
    -reset of memory
    -stable memory locations
    -exchanged memories
-started with memories (sounded a beep as expected)
-had started with HD (continued with the same symptoms)
-F8 or F2 keys pressed during startup (black screen and continued with the same symptoms)
-F10 key during startup (by pressing F10, it does not shut down as usually does, but rest died, with black screen and rotation of the fan)
-external monitor plugged in when you start (black screen and continued with the same symptoms)

Same question occurred in about 4 months ago, but at that time, after break of a week I tried to start and has been a success. Not at the moment.

Please, any thoughts of what could be the problem?

    Thank you

  • Windows Update problem! Now it is stuck in a reboot loop!

I have Windows Vista on a Dell Latitude D620. Today I did a
Download of updates and it went through the shutdown procedure and restart the computer. Now it is stuck on "Configuring Updates - part 3 of 3 0 0% complete.". There is disk activity, then it restarts, only to return to the exact same page.

I tried every safe mode, last known good config, etc., but as soon as it starts it goes to this screen. I can't get to a prompt... nada... It comes
driving me crazy. Even the guy I talked to at Dell do not know which increased or how to fix it.

    Help, please?

    Restore point:

Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

If the above does not work, try to make a Bootable ERD to do a Startup Repair:

As is the case with most computers/laptops these days, they do not come with good Vista disc to repair only the recovery disks.

As your falls into the above category: download the ISO on the provided link and do a repair of the disc.

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

You can make a tool to restart system, System Restore, etc. with it.

Read all the info on the website on how to create and use it.

    http://NeoSmart.net/blog/2008/Windows-Vista-recovery-disc-download/

    ISO Burner: http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html

It's a very good Vista repair disc.

You can do a system restart tool, system, etc it restore.

There is not a disk of resettlement.

And the 32-bit is what normally comes on a computer, unless 64-bit.

  • Palm TX stuck in a reboot loop

I have a Palm TX which is a little over a year old. It was not subject to any negligence, to the best of my knowledge. This morning the battery was dead and so I put on the charger. 10 hours or so later, when it was activated, he showed the first 2 logos of start-up and then repeated again and again. The power button does not turn off the PDA and I tried both a soft and warm, reset without success. Need help please

    Message edited by Bob_L on 10/16/2008 20:49

You have all 3rd party programs installed on the TX? These can sometimes cause looping.

If you have no 3rd party programs, you should try the hard reset. The hard reset will erase all data on the TX.

Go to http://www.palm.com/cgi-bin/cso_kbURL.cgi?ID=887 and follow the directions to do a hard reset. Then before of you hotsync your data back you will need to rename your backup folder, to do than go here.

    XP
C:\Program files\palm or palm one\ [hotsync username]------and rename your backup
    file Backup.Old

    Vista
    Start--> documents\Palm OS Desktop\ [hotsync username]------and rename your backup
    file Backup.Old

Then hotsync from your current name of hotsync and all your contacts, calendar,
    tasks and memos coming back.

Show the file extensions for XP or Vista

    XP
If you cannot view the extensions of file on your PC I would you open a
folder, go to Tools--> Folder Options--> View (tab) and under Show hidden
files and folders to uncheck Hide extensions of known file types.

    Vista
Open control Panel, go to--> View (tab) and under show hidden folder Options
files and folders to uncheck Hide extensions of known file types.
