PC Doctor BIOHD-2 error code
HP Pavilion FK484AV-ABA, model m4900t running windows 7 64 bit. The RAID-1 configuration.
PC crashed. Cannot restart. Starting cold, received error message failure of RAID-1 and two hard drives. PC-Doctor ran and received the following diagnoses:
Processor, memory, drives hard all OK.
Diagnosis of startup path
Error code: BIOHD-2
ATTENTION: No disk is detected.
Suggestion: Turn off the system and check the drive cables are attached firmly.
Given that the PC-Doctor verified that both drives are OK, I'm assuming that the cables were also OK. Any suggestions on what may be the problem?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Go into the BIOS to see if the discs are recognized. Post your results here.
This is an unusual condition for PC Doktor to report. Normally a BIOHD-2 error code means that a hard drive has failed, but I have no doubt that both drives failed at the same time.

FYI and this can help other institutions; I went to a technical support at Staples for options.
They checked the unit possibility of recovering files to the user free of charge.
The Tech pulled the side cover, something plugged in and all my files reappeared on his monitor.
Make a complete copy of all the files is $69.99 (on their records or to your external drive, takes a few days).
I opted for the copy of all the files and they will check the disk drive in the process.
In the meantime, I'll check your video instructions that you so graciously provided.
Thanks & many congratulations!, Marty

Checkerboard Test ME516-15W error code
Market the error code a test of law ME516-18W
Error code bit low test ME516-14W

then prompty died again. Logic tells me that a module of memory went bye bye. Can someone tell me precisely on these error codes. Thank you

Matched pair means; same manufacturer, same chip type, same size, same CASE, etc. Would you buy a pair as two memory DIMMs together. You might have the same 512 MB DIMM in blue locations and the two dimms of 1 GB in black locations. I balanced in blue locations and matched pairs slots black and they are different manufacturers in my m9200t system. However, I took care to ensure that both ca and tension were the same (Samsung and Kingston DIMM).
I have Roxio EMC 9, creator of 2009 and 2010 of creator. EMC 9 went unsupported 2.5 years ago. EMC 9 has written for 32-bit operating systems, and it will not more than 3 GB even recognize on an operating system to 64-bit with more than 3 GB.

After reading some of the forums on this error code, I think I'll have to buy a new hard drive. I was hoping that if I got the HP recovery kit I was able to fix mine. I also got a 0xef0003 error code. I tried to use the built in recovey but no luck. now all I have is a black screen that says no bootable disk. so I is a 2 part question.
1. If I buy a new hard drive will it take the recovery kit HP offers? I have no disk backup.
2 and I can up grade hard drive? say a 1 to maybe 2 with to make any other update to the computer?

Thank you for your help...
Btheone, welcome to the forum.
You are right that the hard drive has failed. The maximum hard disk supported by Windows 7 is 2 GB. Yes, you have the recovery disks provided by HP.
Here's a guide for you help restore the system after replacing the hard drive. Read it carefully before buying the new hard drive.

Planned hard drive failure - BIOHD-7 error code
I inherited this machine to a family member when they panicked after seeing the error message... Hard drive failure... back up your data and replace your drive. According to the newspapers, the drive does not have a single "smart test. I'm not convinced that the player is in danger of failure - especially if it didn't happen in the three months since the first error. Is it possible to 'clear' this error so he'll leave me to press F2 to start?
If you value your data, then buy a new drive hard $50.

My machine does not start. The diagnostic test reflects this message: BioHD-4 unitialized/corrupt start detected structure. What should I do to fix this? The machine is Compaq Presario KJ384AA-ABA
Thank you very much, Big Dave! My son asked me to take the computer to the shop, but I went to the article that you referenced in your message. The key for us was opening the command prompt with the recovery disk and use the bootrec command. He's back running. Thanks again!

HP Pavilion a6530f
does not start:
Received error Code on following "The PC Doctor Diagnostics"
"Error code: BIOHD-4 Unitialized/corrompue start structure detected."
The statement was to: "contact HP support.
How should I proceed? Thank you.
Hello @Puntti69,.
You are indicating your computer is also the message BIOHD-4, is that correct? I'll be happy to help you.
If you replace your hard drive with a hard drive that is empty, you will also need the operating system disks available. It is rare to come across a store bought a hard drive with an operating system on it because all the software and drivers should be installed on the hard disk.
Please answer as soon as possible.
Thank you

Error Code BIOHD-2 disk hard don't Test no drive detected
I'm working on a HP Pavilion p6214y desktop PC.
Just to list the specifications for any unusual problems:
OS = Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
MB = HP P/n: 513430-002 with AMD Athlon II x 4 620 Quad Core
HD = Western Digital 1 TB
Power = 350W LiteOn
RAM = 8 G
I get a blue screen that displays the 4 options and I chose F9 for diagnosis and he gave me a BIOHD-2 error code when checking the hard drive. He said that no hard drives have been detected. I read about it here and checked the bios and it does not find the hard drive. If most people say it's a bad hard drive. Although I put the drive in another computer and I can get the files from the hard drive and view them. It detects the drive in the bios. I also put a disc hard work of the other computer in this HP and it will not recognize a hard drive via the bios. Given that the motherboard does not recognize HDD through sata ports I guess a mother board failure. I then put in a usb bootable Ubuntu 12.10 version. He turns round and will have access to the internet and everything. So, my little knowledge, means that the motherboard is still okay, right? I don't think I read everywhere that the motherboard can go wrong only to sata ports. Anyone know if this is a possibility? Is there a chance that I could save the situation by buying a set of recovery disc for this model precise and just reinstall everything? I heard that they are usually $ 20, then it would be a good trial and error.
In addition, it will allow recovery sometimes on the blue screen screen, but he won't do anything because the keyboard stops working at this time.
Just another tech junkie.Hello:
If you use ubuntu since the USB drive and not the hard drive, then Yes, there is a real possibility that the motherboard sata controller has failed.
I think the motherboard of your model is notorious for failures of controller sata as evidenced in these numerous threads below.

Hello
I'm helping a friend fix an error message received at startup - error: "echec failed boot drive, enter the system disk and press enter". Pressing F9: Diagnostics - results in all tests pass except the path of the boot: Error Code - BIOHD-2 WARNING: no drive detected.
System:
HP Pavilion Slimline mod. s3307c - Prod. # GZ727AA-ABA
Windows Vista Edition Home Premium
Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 - 320 GB HDD - P/N 9BJ13G-622
I also have:
-Checked to make sure there is no disc in the Atapi DVD Drive
-Try another SATA - cable and double checked that all the cables are connected properly.
-Call 800-HP-INVENT - they confirmed that he was no longer under warranty and directed me to their website - hp.com/go/support - am frustrated he then stumbled upon this Forum from HP Support.
The option of Start Menu does not list even a HARD drive - it lists only the DVD player.
F11: System Recovery - goes back to the same boot disc failure... screen
The pc was purchased in 2008.
How the hell did the average person knows how to solve this problem?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Maybe a problem with the drive CD/DVD like HERE there are several different drives / Firmware on the driver of the BIOS page here check to determine which drive you have. Or, if you have another computer with a disk that you can use temporarily to try to recover? Doesn't even have to be installed, I simply hooked up to a DVD player for cables and used.

4502: 4502 E - ALL IN ONE PRINTER HP HP - OXC4EB8247F HWLMICCI2 C error code
I bought it off a friend not too long ago, it has set up on my computer, we tested it, it woked fine. I turned it off because I was not using it, went to turn it on and I get error code OXC4EB8247F HWLMICCI2 C flashes on the screen. I looked on your website! Tried plugging into the wall instead of the extension. Also tried unplugging all the cords and waiting for the moment designated and then plugging back in. I tried to run the scan doctor available. I can't verify that the printer is connected, and it will not be extinguished manually more. Only a hard reset. What does this code mean? Why is my printer all of a sudden act up, while he was not so fine a long time ago?
Hello! Welcome to the community @KelseaC HP
I came across your post about your desire to 4502 showing an error code "0 x" and wanted to tender hand. From my personal experience, the error means generally that there is an error internal within the printer, for example an ink system failure or general hardware failure. You have tried all the troubleshooting steps according to your message, and the next road to go would be to call phone support directly to discuss the replacement or the rating of the printer.

If this does not resolve the problem, after back and let me know if there are all the symbols except the Green checkmarks and what they are next of course. The key is not always easy to identify the key and check mart are in the green circle.
If you see only the Green checkmarks (), the tool did not find any problem.
If you see green sides (), the utility identified a problem and fix it automatically.
If you see yellow exclamation points (), the test failed and requires monitoring of the user, but the step was ignored.
If you see a red X (), follow the onscreen instructions to fix the problem.
