PC portable Compaq CQ58: the internal speakers have "disappeared."
Hi, I have problems with the audio output of my CQ, product number 58: D8Q91EA #ABZ
The sound icon has a cross beside it indicates there is no sound. When I hover the mouse on the audio icon, I get a message that no speakers or headphones are connected. If I try the audio troubleshooting it tells me:
"The device does not appear to be connected. Check the connection. Go to the next step at the end."
I tried to plug in my headphones, but it still gives me the same message and no sound comes out of them either.
I then go and check the audio devices, and although he shows me that the speakers are connected not it does not allow me to enable them.
I hope you can help

audio output lists only the internal speakers when usb is connected to the dac
This problem happened after I had used my mbp for months as music server in a stereo system. When I have the mbp connected via USB to an external digital to analog converter (dac), audio preferences had always listed the CAD. Now it lists only the internal speakers. I tried to reboot, checked my UBS cable, checked my dac. The only thing I've done recently is to create a playlist and sync a new iPod to copy the playlist we. I don't know if that could have anything to create the problem of lack of dac, but I am a relative novice on computers.
Anyone have this problem or knows how to fix?

I just switched to El Capitan - cannot get the internal speakers to play alerts
Hello, I went from my output to a DAC using the Audio MIDI Set up and everything has worked. Then when I switched the output to the speakers they would not play any alerts - alerts were never neglected internal. Regular audio won't play - just no alert. -I looked into his system - it - preferences interface, everything looks good still does not. I changed the settings on the format via the interface Audio MIDI, thinking that would help, but none of the settings changed anything. Basically, everything seems OK in the settings, but no matter what I do, the internal speakers won't play alerts. Does anyone know how to fix this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I use an iMac 27 "from the end of 2012.

Have you checked the preferences system-> sound-> sound effects to ensure that the proper device is selected in the pull down "replay the sound effects?"

Portege R500-11Z: how to use the external mic and hear the internal speakers
We have a Portege R500-11Z running XP and want to use Skype with an external table microphone and the internal speakers.
When connect us the microphone to the Jack MIC the Portege, built-in speakers cut out!
How to use an external mic and still hear the internal speakers?
Hello
> When connect us the microphone on the Portege, built-in speaker MIC Jack cut!
Are you sure you used the microphone port and no headphone port?Have you checked your settings Audio from Skype?
There is an option called ring through the speaker too or something like that. Please also check the Realtek HD audio Manager in Control Panel.
There is a tab called Audio i/o.Usually, you can change the connector settings, by clicking on the small key-tool icon.
Disable the option called Mute rear output when plugged headphones beforeAs you can see is called headset and not so I m confused a little bit why the speakers are turned off when you connect an external microphone.
By the way; There is also a tab called micro.
Check if the two options that reduce the echo and noise are OFF -
How to disable the internal speakers?
I have Windows 7 and are the standard audio Realtek.
When I plug a set of external speakers, internal speakers are not automatically turned off, and I can't understand to change this setting. Anyone?
I use the laptop for professional presentations, in front of a large audience and I need these speakers to transform...!
Thanx.Hi thysgc,
I think that it would be necessary to show a little more detail on your laptop, which model you have exactly?
Normally if you connect external speakers, a window driver sound will pop up where you can choose between connected headphone or line out (external speakers), but both options will shut off the internal speakers.
In any case, have you checked the Web from Toshiba site for the pilot of his most recent?

Re: Satellite A500-02J - how to disable the internal speakers?
Hi all
I use Satelite A500-02J, but when I plug in external speakers, my internal speakers still work, how do I disable it?
Hey,.
Normally the internal speakers will be cut automatically if you connect headphones or external speakers. At least on my laptop it of the case
Hmm I put t know what OS you have installed, but you should check the audio settings. Generally you can cut off the internal speakers if you have connected an external.
Alternative, I recommend that you update the audio driver. You can find the latest version on the official website of Toshiba.
I hope that helps! :)

T440 - Sound does not switch between the internal speakers and headphones listening or return
Hello community,
Let me first explain how I assumed that the switch between headset and speakers should work:
I turn on the music or anything else and if no headphones are connected, all sound from the internal speakers. Now if I plug headphones then sound comes exclusively from the helmet. If I go out then again the sound comes from the speakers and so on.In my case, the situation is the following:
If I have no headset connected and turn on the music, then I heard if via the speakers. If I decide to continue to listen to this music through a headphone and plug them in, then the music continues to come from the speakers, but for example, the outlook notification sound is delivered in the headphones. It works vice versa.
If I open, say youtube for a video, while having the headphone is plugged, I hear the sound through them. If I now unplugg, them, the speakers will remain silent. What can I do that if there is no external speakers connected (helmet, etc.) all sound will be played through the internal speakers, if I plug in a kind of external speaker, it's their part and if I unplugg it it switches back on the internal speakers?
Thank you very much for your help!
Best regards
Look in Control Panel audio Realtek. It should be an option multistreaming, make sure it is set to unify all devices.

How can I get the internal speakers to work on a hpvs15 screen
I have NEEDED HELP GETTING THE INTERNAL speakers to WORK ON A HPVS15 MONTOR!
Hello
Try a reset of the monitor. Unplug the power cord from the monitor and hold the power button of the monitor for 30 to 60 seconds. Plug the monitor back in and it lights up. Does that help?
Consult this Manual. Go into the on-screen display-->> volume and turn up to max all the sounds?
Don't forget that you have a green audio cable plugged into the monitor and audio output on your PC port. Don't forget to unplug the headphones.
Try a PC speaker separated in order to eliminate the PC as the problem. You can also try the monitor and cable on another PC.

Windows 7 - sound through the internal speakers but not headphones...
I've upgraded to Windows 7 and got the latest Realtek HD Audio driver, and the internal speakers work fine. Nothing is coming through the headphones well. In the Audio Device Manager, it lists the headphones as "Realtek Digital Output" and seems to work, but there is no sound. Before I could just plug my headphones and it would turn off the speakers and only use the headphones. Help! Any ideas?
Hello jrh388,
To better help, what is the brand and model of your PC?
You can check if the headphones are activated as a playback device. To do this, see the following steps:
· The Pearl-click Start and type Sound in the start search box.
· Select card change settings in the Start Menu Options.
· Then, on the Read tab, right-click and select Show hidden devices and Show disconnected devices if they are available.
· Select headset and select
