PC won't stop before u kill the proquota.exe task manually

Hello

When I try to shut down the PC (Win XP) with START-> SHUTDOWN, nothing happens.

But if I open the Task Manager and kill the process called proquota.exe and then go to start-> stop, it stops without problem. I want to be able to stop the pc without killing the process manually. I work in a company with 350 employees (350PC), and the proquota is pushed by the group policy.

Profile space shouldn't be a problem, because even if a PC is freshly started, it will not stop (without killing proquota first of course).

This actually happens on 2 PC in the company, the rest of 350PC have no problem with this (all run proquota.exe).

Please help me.

Thank you

    Hello

The two processes are expected and isn't new to the latest version of the player.  They are part of the improvement of security measures taken to make Flash Player more secure and protect your system.  One is the Flash Player sandbox process that allows Flash Player runs in low integrity mode, and the other is the broker process that runs in medium and is integrity mode the guard between the processes of the sandbox untrusted and BONES.  Examples of some of these are access of the file system and access to the camera, among others.  More information is available here, inside the protected for Firefox Flash Player Mode.

  • Automatic scrolling of the list of favorites on the start menu to stop before you reach the bottom

I open the start menu, point the mouse on the Favorites bar and keep the cursor under the small arrow pointing down at the bottom of the list of favorites, as well as the list of bookmarks automatically scrolls down. But after scroll down a number of bookmarks, automatic scrolling stops before reaching the bottom of the list of favorites, view the rest of the empty list. I removed a lot of unnecessary bookmarks in the Favorites folder in Documents and Settings, but this does not resolve the issue. I would like suggestions for this problem, which I have not come across so far. I ran CHKDSK disk cleanup and defragged the volume of disk hard, but in vain. I have Windows XP Pro SP 3 with IE8 installed on my computer.

  • Satellite L500 - won't stop

L500 suddenly started to hang at shutdown forcing manual power off of the order the next day. "Shutting Down" message visible. Power connection process fails sometimes. I resorted to start in safe mode and stop before you "start the day" generally to be on the safe side. Nothing installed, but Adobe Air improved.

    Hi niixsy,

I'm pretty sure that a certain program blocks the closing process in your case I would look in the Windows Event Viewer. There you can find all the logs on your laptop and maybe you'll see a notification which program blocks this process.

Your only option is to go to the Task Manager/Unix command line and kill the ESSSVR.exe process. This process is blocked and all of the demolitions that you issue of EAS/MaxL won't fix.

  • DAC set the depth tasks manually change number

I have a plan with only two tasks running and all have two depth of 0. One is SDE and the other is SIL. The problem is even thought SDE is set to ExtractFact and the SIL is set to LoadFact, but when the plan is run, both are run in parallel. Or Sil runs first then the SDE, which is not correct.

How to assign a depth of tasks 1 and the other in parameter 2, or mounted to execute sequentially.

Looked in the Doc and nothing specific.

    Thank you

    Hello

You can set the depth of tasks manually, by creating a working group.

For the creation of a group of tasks, design goto > task groups > New and enter the name of the working group.

One of the new group is created, in the option child tasks of low goto pane and click the Add/Remove button and add your tasks SDE & SIL.

Once the tasks are added go to the column order of dependency and 0 for SDE and 1 to SIL and by doing this you're forcing the dac to run SDE first, then SIL.

    I hope this helps...

  • MacBook pro starts the process but stop before midway lights

    HI -.

My MacBook Pro starts the boot process but stops and stops before reaching the point to halfway. This can be the result of something that I did yesterday, I disabled my MacBook during a software update. I don't know what has been updated.  (I've left for a few hours and would not leave my computer on while I was out.)

Is there something at home, I can do to fix this?

    Thank you!

If you do not know what has been updated, nor do we. Could have been a critical system component. Try to start in Safe Mode and see if that clears up the problem. If this is not the case, start in Recovery Mode, select disk utility and make a disk first aid. If that doesn't work or you can't get into Recovery Mode, then try Internet Recovery Mode, while the Mac is connected to the Internet (press Command + Option + R) so it starts off Apple servers and reinstall OS X. If all goes well, you won't lose too much data.

  • The Acrobat XI test Installation stops before the end of

    Hello

After the above software testing on my Windows 7 PC, I try to install it on a MacBook Pro (end of 2012), OS X 10.8.5.

Download Adobe Download Assistant works very well. Also download the installation program is no problem. Now, the problem occurs shortly before the end of the installation process. It's something to do with the restriction of the rights, but I do not exactly understand.

Now this is weird, I get a message or whatever it is that there is a problem. Just the fan turning.

I can't exit or shut down the computer. I can't kill the process. Only by pressing the power button constantly stops it.

I'll repeat the process and view the Setup LOG in a minute.

    Hope you can help me.

    Problem is solved.

Apple support gave me the usual suggestions of all the things I had already experienced: rights in the servicetool disk repairs; reset to full rights after starting as a single user (root) mode (CMD + S); manipulate the sudoers file, etc. None of these methods have no help.

I was not that happy at apple, they tried to argue that it is a matter of third parties and is not a problem of their OS. It's understandable though, as through all this time I was able to install other software like adobe reader for mozilla firefox at any time.

In the end, I reinstalled OSX after making sure of my data and settings. After that, install Adobe Acrobat worked without any problems.

The amazing thing for me: I didn't have to restore one of my programs, data or settings, even if I'm working on an SSD with the system and all the files not intermingled, no partitioning. That's new for me coming from a windows system. It comes to click a few buttons, I didn't even touch a CD. 1 to 2 hours later the machine was just as before, only the question of the rights of the user is over now. Pretty amazing.

However, the root cause of the problem remains unexplained.

    Thank you for your help.

The new App Store for El Capitan update has locked up my macbook pro.  Reboot got about 3/4 fact and the machine stops. Turned off the power and turn it on again for nothing doesn't.  How in my machine to begin troubleshooting?

The problem is most likely an attempt to update a system malfunction prior it is probably a problem with your computer, not the El Capitan.

    Start by:

Reset the PRAM and NVRAM on your Mac.

MacIntel: Reset of the controller (SMC) system management

Start in Safe Mode , and then re - start normally. It's slower that a normal start, so be patient.

    If you are unable to start;

Reinstall El Capitan without erasing the drive

Please make sure that you back up.

    1. Restart the computer. Immediately after that the chime hold down the command and R until the Utility Menu appears.
    2. Select disk utility, then click on the continue button.
    3. Select the withdrawal (usually Macintosh HD) entry of the volume in the list aside.
    4. Click first aid icon in the toolbar. Wait until the button is active, then click it.
    5. Quit disk utility and re-enter the Utility Menu.
    6. Select Reinstall OS X and click on the continue button.

Also, see this tip for user: basic steps for the OS X upgrade.

    If this doesn't get you;

Install Yosemite or El Capitan, from scratch

    Backup if possible before proceeding.

Restart the computer. Immediately after the chime hold down the command and R buttons until the Apple logo appears. When the Utility Menu appears:

Select utility disc in the Menu Utility, then click the continue button.

When loading disk utility, select the volume (entered into withdrawal, usually Macintosh HD) from the list of devices.

Click Delete in the main window of disk utility. A panel will fall.

Define the type of Format Mac OS extended (journaled).

Click on the apply button, then wait for the done button to activate and click on it.

Quit disk utility and re-enter the Utility Menu.

Select reinstall OS X and click on the continue button.
