PC667 RAM is compatible with SR5310F?

I have the original of the RAM for this machine (2x512MB = 1 GB RAM) and want to update. I have 2 sticks of 1 GB SDRAM PC667 I want to replace by, but when I start it, it still shows only 1 GB of RAM. Unknown yet, when I press F10 and go into the BIOS it shows 2 sticks of 512 MB RAM installed and does not detect what is really there.

Is there a way that it works, or is the PC667 RAM 1 GB module simply not compatible?

Well, it's embarrassing. Obviously, the 2 GB of RAM, I thought that I had was actually 1 GB which has been mislabelled. Each stick 1 GB wrote about it, but was in fact only 512 MB each. It's sad.

  • What windows is compatible with hp 6730 s (Core 2 Duo, T5870 @2.00 GHZ, 4 GB RAM)?

    Hello

I use HP 6730 s with Machine configs as below:

    Processor: Core 2 Duo, T5870 GHZ @2.00

    Installed RAM: 4 GB RAM

I want to know what version of Windows on the bottom would be more compatible with my laptop?

    1. Windows XP

    2. Windows Professional 32-bit

    3. Windows Professional 64-bit

    4. Windows Ultimate 32-bit edition

    4. Windows Ultimate 64-bit

    Can someone help me?

    Thank you

    Chrystelle

    Hello:

Any version of Windows 7 would be better for your PC.

If you have 4 GB or the physical memory installed, I would opt for the 32-bit version.

If you plan to add memory beyond 4 GB so that you would get the 64 bit version.

Note: a chip memory 4 GB DDR2 is more expensive than $100 USD today.

I love Windows 7 Pro myself.

I would not use additional features in W7 Ultmate.

HP has driver W7 in favor the 6730 s on the link below.

    http://h20566.www2.HP.com/portal/site/hpsc/public/PSI/swdHome/?lang=en&cc=us&sp4ts.Oid=3687786

I would not use XP because it is no longer supported by Microsoft security updates.

  • RAM is not visible, I have 16 GB installed in the case (4x4Go), but only 8 GB has, even in the BIOS. All the 4 sticks of RAM are the same brand and compatible with my motherboard.

I have 16 GB installed in the case (4x4Go), but only 8 GB has, even in the BIOS.
All the 4 sticks of RAM are the same brand and compatible with my motherboard.
I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 - bit, which limit memory is 16 GB, so this isn't the issue.
    I got a few BSOD - 0 x 00000109 - errors that I work.
I ran memtest86 for a few hours and he scored 4 errors during test cycles 7.
These memtest errors concern the bars invisible RAM or the work those?
Any ideas as to what should I do next?
    See you soon!

    ASUS P9X79
    GeForce GTX 650
    Team elite Dual Channel DDR3 4 GB 1333 Mhz x 4

    Thanks Joel,

I started to individually test RAM when I noticed a quirk in the way they were organized in their locations.
I downloaded the manual for my P9X79 and he confirmed that they were arranged in mirror mode.
I switched two of the sticks to adjacent slots and, Lo and behold, the full 16 GB presented at startup.
So that's one mystery solved at least.
I'll raise the memtest to see if it includes several errors and if so will continue to individually control the RAM sticks.
    Thanks again.

    Thanks for your help!

The Samsungs are certainly compatible and may just need a few tweaks. The compatibility of G-Skill depends on completely the modules used in this batch and the motherboard compatibility updates and if the QVL has been modified due to changes in module. The Samsung will certainly by a stable system if game directly. G-skills I can't say with certainty because of the mark.
