PCAN USB with NI-CAN adapter

Hello

I intend to communicate that LabVIEW with a controller to motor through the CAN network by using an adapter USB-PCAN system Peak. I wanted to know if NI-CAN be able to send and receive commands through devices that are not National Instrument (in this case, it will be the USB PCAN-adapter of the system Peak). Can anyone who knows something about this topic help out me please?

We used the PCAN USB with the LabVIEW RIDGE driver provide. I don't think you can use NI-CAN or NOR-XNET to talk directly to the network using the PCAN USB CAN but we use the conversion functions of NI-XNET to convert between the CAN messages and signal/data value and vice versa, and then use the driver PCAN LabVIEW for read/write messages.

  • Iconia W4-820 will not charge with the power adapter USB Std

Bought my W4 Iconia four weeks ago, a demonstration model, the last of them. It was packed in the box with a micro USB x adapter USB OTG cable and a power adapter. Back at home I discovered that the power adapter has been to Asus, possibly mixed in the shop. The prospective buyer of the Asus Tablet demo likely will get the Acer adapter. Adapter Asus with micro USB male connector works fine; specs are 5.2V - 1.35 amps; seems to be a STD USB adapter. The Asus adapter has a connector to USB female port to connect to a USB x microphone cable to USB adapter (with cable power adapter came in the box). Bought a 2nd power with USB 2 socket adapter to connect my W4 Iconia and my Garmin Zumo390 browser to an adapter. Specs are 5V - 3.5 amps.
The Zumo works very well with the new card, but does not work my W4. Charge light stays off. USB ports switched to he Zumo and the Iconia W4, but same result. Zumo fresh, but W4 not. Borrowed another power adapter USB, 5V - 2 mines anti-personnel and new Zumo accusations, but the W4 still does not work. Also tried different USB adapter cables, but the same thing; Zumo invoice, W4 does not work.
How is that possible? I can't tell the difference of 0.2 V between the Asus adapter and a USB adaptor STD would make the difference. But maybe I'm wrong. Wanted for adapters for the W4 Iconia and found several, but all the 5V as expected.
    Can anyone help.
Will go to the shop again next week, but if I need an adapter V 5.2 I should order with Acer. 5.2 V adapters do exist not (readibly).

Resolved issues. A dark and humid Sunday afternoon back to the store with the Tablet and all the bells and whistles. Changed the card Asus for the original Acer 5V - 2Amps (10W). Took the time to find the Acer adapter in the store. Demonstrated the adapter 2nd with 2 output USB ports and it wouldn't work with the Tablet W4. Tried another and found to be ok. 2 USB ports have a different power, a port for a smartphone and the other port is one tablet. Total power rating of the adapter is 17.5W (5V - 3.5Amps); some 2.5 and 1Amps. A happy man is back home again.

Original title: windows 7 and bios does not see the hard drive. but when I connect the hard drive to the USB with an adapter, I see directories and files... Ive a hp Pavilion, what to do?

Check the BIOS for hard drive setting.

Make sure that you do not connect the drive to a SATA/RAID port.

Old IDE drives - check the jumper on the drive (use "Cable Select" as a starting point), the BIOS must also be set in legacy/compatibility/IDE mode. Note: If you currently use the AHCI mode, then switch to IDE mode may cause Windows to boot.

  • How to get a USB 2.0 wireless adapter to work on Win7 Ultimate 64-bit?

    Details:

    ASUS P8Z77 - V motherboard w/Intel Core i7 3.5 Ghz 3770 K LK
    16 GB OF RAM
    HWUN4 USB 2.0 wireless adapter b/g/n w/Realtek chipset Hawking RTL8192CU
Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit fully updated to include SP1
It is the second USB card who refuses to work on this platform, the first being something Rosewill which also uses a Realtek chip.
I checked that the drivers for my MB are up-to-date, verified that I have later Hawking, tried drivers directly from Realtek drivers for the chip and assured that I installed the latest Intel MEI driver package for my motherboard. I went on the USB settings in the BIOS, but I'm not exactly fluent in what the options really are or do. I went through all of this also try to get the Rosewill unit to work several months past, as well, but without success with a device. It is postulated that the Hawking unit is actually Edimax, although I can't find any similar product on the site in order to try the drivers for. I also completely turned off my firewall ZoneAlarm and Avast! antivirus during installation and configuration, for the same results each time. The results does not same are achieved regardless of USB 2.0 ports 10 or if I connect to the adapter for.
With this Hawking and the previous Rosewill adapter, drivers seem to installs successfully, such properties as displayed in the Device Manager say "this device is working properly", but they do not find a wireless signal. Simply says Windows Network Diagnostics adapter is "problems" and suggests that drivers can be a problem and always indicates that the latest drivers are already installed every time I have send the update to the latest drivers on my hard drive.
I can come to only three possible conclusions:
    (1) Windows 7 Ultimate 64 - bit is unable to use USB 2.0 wireless network cards.
    (2) Windows 7 Ultimate 64 - bit is unable to use USB adapters based on the Realtek chips.
    (3) my motherboard lacks the correct BIOS settings to fully activate USB wireless.
I have several other USB 2.0 devices that all work fine on this platform, including cameras, USB keys, external drive docks, mice, keyboards, phones, and others. I googled the days and found nothing to convince me the problem with my motherboard, I can't find anything specific on Win7x64 being a problem with this. Comments on NewEgg and other sites indicate people successfully use wireless adapters USB with Win7x64 and even on the same motherboard, I use, so I have to assume that I have either overlooked something or not yet found appropriate hardware and/or software settings.
With this post being half-rant and half-cry for help, I will respectfully ask for suggestions on how to solve this maddening problem.

«I don't mention it in my first post, certainly, but these devices have very certainly works wonders on a laptop with Win7x64 and a desktop computer with WinXPx32 installed.»

So your previous conclusions are wrong, because they contradict what you are saying now.

I wanted to know if the adapter STILL works, not its past history. I have a D-Link WDA 2320 worked in another PC perhaps a year previously, but now it shows in the configuration, and that's as much as I can get with it. A few years ago I had a computer that did not like any wireless device, either PCI or USB and finished by hard wiring it which was very annoying.

Go to Device Manager and uninstall the device.

Remove any instances where the adapter has tried to implement on a USB port

  • Impossible to activate the USB Belkin, f5d8055 wireless adapter in Windows 7

I have an old Dell Laptop Inspiron 6400 PC I installed Windows 7 Ultimate on. The built-in wireless adapter works well, but I would like to use an external Belkin F5D8055 N + USB adapter for inclease & range performance.
So far, I installed the drivers for the correct adapter on the Belkin site and they seem to install correctly. The adapter is recognized and no error display in Device Manager.
If I disable or uninstall the integrated Dell wireless adapter and try and turn on the Belkin adapter, while the message displayed indicates that it allows, the adapter is disabled and grayed out. I even turned off the Dell Wireless card in the bios that actually no difference.
I know that the adapter Belkin F5D8055 working as I tried to install it in another laptop (Lenovo) and it works OK.
My question is what could be causing the adapter Belkin to stay disabled? Is this something that is that collide with the Belkin drivers?
I find a second laptop Dell Inspiron 6400 with the same generation and has the same symptoms with the Belkin adapter.
I also tried a former C and W USB wireless adapter and it also will not help.
Is there a fundamental issue with computers Dell laptop, Inspiron and Windows 7?

    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thank you very much

Hi Zach, you are quite correct! I have now uninstalled Zonealarm and the Belkin adapter install and activate OK. Thank you very much.

Do you know if Zonealarm can be configured to work with the Belkin adapter, or is it one or the other?

    Thanks again.

Unfortunately, it's going to be one or the other, try to reinstall.

  • Connection to the local network works do not, something seems wrong with the network adapter.

    Hi guys,.

This week, my HP Pavilion dv 9700 had problems connecting to my LAN. (Windows Vista OS)

By trial and error, as suggested by my network support, I thought that the problem was the laptop and not on the network.

After that, I managed to make it work by jumping through hoops like the rotation of the network adapter, reboot the laptop and then restart the map. After three days, that is no longer working and I have the feeling that the network card is simply liked work. (Network appears as Local and unidentified and still keep identification)

The wireless card does not work, I am posting this from my university network. So I guess that the wireless and ethernet card are separate pieces of equipment?

These cards can be repaired or replaced?

I would be happy with all the guidance as a student, I have a little to my internet for everything.

    Yes, absolutely.

Do a search for USB RJ-45 network adapter. You can get those up to 100 MB connection speeds or 1 GB ot.

  • Satellite A100: Parallel Port to USB with Vista printing error

I have a new laptop Toshiba A100 with Windows Vista installed. I can't make my printer A3 HP works via USB with a USB/parallel cable.

Vista recognizes the connection and says driver installed. Try to print, and it just says: "error" Vista will not let me load the driver supplied with the connecting cable. Anyone got a solution for this?

    Hello

Are you sure that the driver that came with the connection cable was designed for Windows Vista?
I assume that the driver is compatible with early versions of Windows like XP.

  • Satellite L450-136 no longer charge with the AC adapter

I was wondering if someone can help me.

My laptop Toshiba Satellite L450-136 charge is no longer with the AC adapter.

It is now run out of dead and the battery power.
I don't know if the problem is with the computer or the power cable.

It was working fine yesterday and then not work this morning.
Nothing happened as the computer having fallen or anything.

Does anyone have any ideas on how I can understand the problem and then fix it?

    Thank you!

To be honest, I have two different laptops Toshiba (U400 and Tecra A11).
The two race perfectly and never had problems charging the battery or similar
I have other laptop which is 8 years from another manufacturer but the battery is dead, but it's nothing unusual for laptop that is so old ;)
One of my friends has the same laptop as your Satellite L450 and this also works

    > I don't know if the problem is with the computer or the power cable.

This can be verified if you would connect a power adapter new and tested.
However, I think that it s not worth it to buy a new adapter only to run some tests, this should be done by technicians for laptop

  • USB to Serial Port Adapter

Hi, my laptop is not a serial port.

If I want to connect to some hardware using RS-232, RS-485, CANBUS etc, will I have problems using a serial USB adapter?

When I was programming PIC microcontrollers, we were told not to use adapters to program the PIC. I found this a little confusing because the signal from the adapter must be identical to what would come of a serial port. I don't know what is the reason.

Are there any known issues using a serial USB with hardware adapter (specifically the sbRIO-9651 reference carrier I use and also just in general) or I would be fine to use it?

I have a box of NI USB - 232 which will stop working.  Not sure if it's a loop of mass or something with signals through it, but... Yes, they didn't last real long in my experience.  (It was years ago, I sent a bunch of back, don't know if improvements have been made since that time.)

IOGear GUC-232 has and from SILabs CP2102/MAX3232 work well for me. never had a problem with those.  Anything FTDI is solid, beware fake chips with this manufacturer.

7Fh has a HID-UART chip available (CP2110), which works well on machines that have restricted permissions for driver installation.

    Hello

I read a few articles about it and it will work. However, you need to keep an eye on overheating. When it's too hot, I'd rather swich back to the old adapter or a replacement with the same characteristics. EBay is full of them, and some of them are even of real Chargers HP.

Thanks Asdfguy86. The map you suggested was not good because it was full of size, but, thanks to your liknk, so I knew what to ask and what seearching I just added "low profile."

My search came up with this https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B008N3FPXS/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

This has also been enlarged but came with an alternative mounting plate.

There is a free space above so I was able to move my antenna wi - fi so far and release the slot for pci express to the new card usb3 so I was even able to keep my embedded wireless and bluetooth. What a result!
