If you want to help out and stay with your wireless keyboard.

See > If your Apple wireless mouse, keyboard or the trackpad will not work as expected - Apple Support

To stay with the USB keyboard and stop your Mac of you are looking for that wireless.

1. go to: Apple > System Preferences > Bluetooth and remove the keyboard in the list of devices.

2. go to: Apple > System Preferences > Bluetooth > select Advanced... uncheck "Bluetooth Setup Assistant open at startup if no keyboard is detected.

Possible explanation.  It is likely that batteries, so fresh, can be irregular in size.   The uncertain connection would therefore tend to lead to a failure to blink and you declare.   Read my thing...

It works exactly the same way as a wired keyboard. Restart your Mac and hold down the T or command + R on the keyboard.

  • Apple wireless keyboards are secure?

A recent report says that several wireless keyboards easily to interception by hackers and criminals, allowing them to track every keystroke. Apple keyboards send encrypted to the recipient computer signals?

    To my knowledge, no.

However, the risk is rather minimal, because the effective range of Bluetooth devices is about 30 feet (10 meters). I certainly wouldn't worry about this kind of risk.

  • Cannot switch the language layout with wireless keyboard

I do a sort of a media center for my mac mini. So far, everything is great, except for one very annoying thing. I bought this wireless keyboard and it's working great, although there is a problem with the layout language switch. When I change the input language - it is off, according to the change of language icon, if a text input is always in English. I'm quite confused and don't know if it's related to the keyboard itself or it's a question of OS (same behavior was on yosemite, before I've upgraded to el capitan)

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

Are you talking about the little flag in the menu bar? This has nothing to do with the language itself, it has to do with keyboard layouts. Any reason you need to switch the layouts?

If you want to change the language of the menus and other system, then you must go to

System-> region and language preferences, then change the order of the languages.

  • How do you know that the wireless keyboard is enabled

How do you know if your wireless keyboard is enabled?

You can see if the keyboard is still on, if you check in the Bluetooth settings and see if your keyboard is still connected. FYI - most of the power is used while you type, not in sleep mode.

  • Wireless keyboard and trackpad malfunction since El Capitan

Since the upgrade to El Captitan, I turn my wireless keyboard works after almost every sleep system order of the to make it usable again. Otherwise El Cap or any application would react to shots of keyboard with a separate period and, often, repeating only one several times.

    With Yosemite, everything was fine.

My configuration: trackpad, mouse mighty mouse and keyboard, all wireless, on a late 2013 27 "i7 iMac with 32 GB of RAM, no later than OS X.

    Any ideas?

There are a number of issues to support why this could happen. Have you tried to reboot the device? Also - are the batteries discharged on the wireless keyboard and the magic trackpad?
