Peripheral CDDVD corrupted or missing (code 39).
IM really hoping that someone out there in PC-land can help!
I have a problem with my CD/dvd-rom drive.
"TSSTcorp CDDVDW SH - S203N ATA installation" when I bought my PC has the yellow on her triangle when I access my device manager.
the driver provider is "MICROSOFT", but because the software has been installed in "MESH COMPUTERS" they cannot help me find a solution!
the device status says "Windows cannot load the driver for this hardware device. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39) »
When I try to "Update Driver Software" for this unit and research online, I get a message that reads "best driver for your device is already installed, Windows has fix6 software driver for your device is up-to-date."!
If I could solve this problem without any purchase of my PC works ALMOST perfectly for the 1st time in 2 years, I bought there!
Help me!!
Cheers.

Thank you SamHi Kamal,
If you had a tools and Utilities CD that came with your laptop then I suggest that you check to see if it contains the necessary drivers and utilities to support for your sound card. Alternatively, you can be able to download the forms from the download from Toshiba site. You will need to specify the number of the correct model for your laptop.

Satellite A210: ODD does not work - driver may be corrupted or missing - Code 39
The STRANGE ('TSSTcorp CDDVDW TS - L632H ATA Device") does not work on my laptop more.
In Device Manager, the Properties dialog box says "Windows cannot load the driver for this hardware device. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39) »
laptop: A210
OS: Vista 32 bitI think the material is OK, as I install dual-boot linux, the STRANGE works very well under linux.
I found updates of firmware STRANGE on the Toshiba site, but these cannot be installed with the drivers dysfunctional.
Is it possible to find the drivers somewhere? (I can use google, but I don't know if driver download sites are trustworthy).
Any other ideas?
Hello
This has been discussed a lot of time here;
The workaround is;
-remove the ODD of Device Manager
-access the registry and delete the Upperfilters and Lowerfilters completely from the following registry key values:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class\ {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
-restart the laptopGood bye

Hello
Code 39 means that the driver is corrupted or missing.
Please make all below even if you have done some before as it is often the set of operations which solves
the question.Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double-click on the device - driver tab - click
Update the drivers (this will probably do nothing) - then RIGHT click the drive - UNINSTALL - REBOOT
This will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue below.
Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a loose cable or
slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.Your CD or DVD drive is missing or is not recognized by Windows or other programs

Also check with your system manufacturer to see if there are any updated drivers for your DVD. Or even if it
are you can reinstall the 'old'. Many use Windows default drivers however some special aura
ones. Also check the website of the manufacturer of the car.Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

Hello
1. on what application you are trying to read the disc?
2. don't you make changes to your computer because of which the question began?
3. is the relevant question to a specific application or a disk?
4. what operating system is installed on your computer?There are many causes of Code 39 errors:* A required device driver is missing.
* A required binary file is corrupted.
* There is a problem with the file I/O process.
* A pilot that refers to an entry point in another binary file cannot load.If you use Windows 7, we will first open the convenience store hardware and devices to perform automatic troubleshooting services.

How can I recharge the device driver? Whenever I have to uninstall the driver and the system tries to install the driver, I get the message that is damaged or missing. How to solve this?
I tried deleting the cdrom.sys file in windows, but it won't let me even if I'm on the administrator account.
I also tried driver uninstall with the installed drive and rebooting, but the corrupted message driver happens every time that I reboot.
Is it possible that the drive itself is the problem?
I'm ready to get an external cd/dvd drive.
Try running the Fixit from here:

System worked very well. Integrated NETWORK interface
Do a scan of malicous software from Ms. All of a sudden stopped and gave the failure error message. Closed the program and tried to run AV--CA could not connect to the network.
Reboot, etc. and no network connection.
Tried to uninstall the network drivers (all had exclaimation point) but couldn't - "device may be required to boot" (even tried in safe mode)
Tried to update the drivers with copy of the drivers (from CD) - said he could not.
Put in an adapter external network - same mistakes with it.
Help - don't know if the software MS pooched my drivers or other files? I really didn't ' want to reinstall the operating system and any other software.
