Peripheral USB does not connect to the guest operating system

Hello

I installed VMware Server 2.0 on windows server 2K 3 Enterprise. I also installed a new guest OS win 2 k 3 standard.

My question: during the attempt of USB connection in the comments, it does not connect. It shows the error like: "an error occurred while trying an operation connecting an USB device between the host and the guest. Please check the Device Manager of Windows for the current state of the USB devices attached to the host. "in the events.

but the usb device works fine in the host operating system win 2 company 3 k. the log shows that:

explored in the vmware communities but in vain.

If you really want to use it for installation, you will need to extract the driver from the VMware Tools ISO and add it to a disk image.

  • Connection to the guest operating system

Hello! I've been test connectivity of a guest OS on a machine of ESXi. The problem is that I cannot ping successfully invited an operating system from another computer on the same network. The guest operating system is able to reach the other IP address on the network (via ping), but not the reverse. The guest operating system is Windows XP, and the local IP addresses are defined in static.

Is there a way around the problem?

Check your firewall on the XP guest windows.  Disable it, see if that helps.

  • Cannot run the program in the guest operating system

    Hello

I'm trying to run a program file (an .exe) in a virtual machine via vCO using executeCommandInGuest.

The thing is that the .exe file starts a user interface to display the status (do not ask for entry) when it runs locally. When I call the script of vCO, I get the following error:

Error while executing command (can not run the command: InternalError: a general error occurred: a program could not run on the guest operating system (name of the dynamic Script Module: executeCommandInGuest #40) (name of the dynamic Script Module: executeCommandInGuest #46))

If I try to call a .bat file in the VM that starts the program of the WF works but the .exe file is never started in the virtual machine.

If I specify to run another .exe for example ping.exe only complete control of WF and if I specify a .bat file that call ping.exe he also successfully complete.

There is no silent mode for the .exe I need performed.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you

    Magnus

The problem was caused by the user access control. Put forever does not resolve the problem, disable it through the user interface, restart the virtual machine, and then continue with my script.

  • My Explorer Microsoft touch does not connect to the computer (Win 8 and 7 or iMac)

I bought a touch of Explorer Microsoft wireless mouse and cannot understand why the mouse does not connect. The small usb dongle is recognized and the mouse turns works. The optical light is blue and the touch sensor clicks when I run my finger on it. Nothing happens when I press any button of the mouse (without interaction with the computer). It almost seems like its not even connected to the usb dongle. I tried to find out what's wrong with it or with Windows. The mouse itself doesn't simply plug the usb dongle or on the computer at all. It is not a Bluetooth mouse, so there is no button to connect or sync.

  • Thunderbird does not connect with the server

Another recent problem is Thunderbird does not connect with the server. I don't know if sent mail will go out, but I know I'm nothing receive. My internet connection works well for FF or another browser. I checked my settings and they seem OK. I checked the default settings in Win10x64 and they are correct. Any ideas?

  • Does not connect with the e-mail server after update.

Thunderbird ran an auto update yesterday. Then it just stopped working. It does not connect with the Comcast email server. An error message appears "Unable to connect" and "the connection was refused when attempting to contact live.mozilla.messaging.com. I don't want to uninstall and reinstall for fear of losing my emails and address book. How can we get Thunderbird set, there is no tool in the toolbar to enable the debugging and correction of program errors.

    I use Thunderbird version 38.1.0.

    Thank you.

The problem solved itself, Thunderbird has just started working. I followed the thread suggested by Christ1 and found none of it applied. No malware, no browser, no certificate error security block. I did, however, in Thunderbird, under Tools/Options/General uncheck the button for "When Thunderbird launches, show the Start Page in the message box." I do know that if this helped, Thunderbird still do not access Comcast mail for hours after that, even with several stops and restarts.

  • Airport utility: green points on the AirPort Extreme & Internet; Mini Mac does not connect to the internet.

Airport utility shows green points on the AirPort Extreme and the Internet, but my my Mac mini does not connect to the internet. IPhones and 2 portable Windows connect very well, and see all the devices on the home network. The problem occurred after that PSI has swapped an ancient for a Comtrend CT5072T DSL modem. I tried to stop and things start back up as if the installation of the internet for the first time. No joy.

The airport connects using DHCP in Bridge Mode

    The router address is 192.168.80.1

    Address IPv4 is 192.168.80.2

DNS server is the same as the router, but grayed out

Mac Mini IPv4 Address is 192.168.80.3

    IPv6 automatically configures

Also updated the firmware of the airport; no change.

ISP guy was friendly but puzzled. He started at the top floor level Tech, so I do not know when I hear back.

    Any ideas to fix?

    Hello

    Network preferences may be damaged.

Open the Finder. In the Finder menu bar, click go > go to folder

Type or copy paste the following text:

    / Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration

Click OK, and then move all files in the SystemConfiguration folder to the trash.

Restart your Mac. See if that makes a difference.

Your Mac will generate a new SystemConfiguration folder for you.

Then open AirPort Utility located in HD > Applications > Utilitiies

Make sure that both Internet and Extreme are green.

TBird updated today V24.4 on my desktop and now it does not connect to the server. I have V23.4 on my lap top and it works fine. Someone at - he had this problem and figured out how to fix it?

    Please check your anti-virus software.
He may have detected a change and decided to not allow Thunderbird. He could therefore block Thunderbird.
