Peripheral USB not opening not even if he says it's working properly

When I insert the USB into the computer, a message appears saying that it works successfully and has been inserted correctly, but there is no icon on the screen to open it!  It has not been damaged in any way, and was able to be open very well one day but then just stopped working for no apparent reason.  Help, please!

You might be out of luck if this flash drive does not work on any computer that you plug in. However, this link might help you.

    Hi User1980,

Whenever you connect the USB to your computer, it will first try to detect the device and load the drivers. The drivers do not get loaded unless you are logged on as administrator.  This is normal.

Try running the FIXIT who can solve some problems related to hardware devices.

  • Peripheral USB not seen - sort of

I just installed a hard drive in a container external via USB.  I also have some other devices, such as MyPassport, mouse, keyboard and so on.

The Control Panel recognizes the container and the disc "devices and printers".

Why I try to locate externally with 'computer', I see my two MyPassport, but not the external USB devices.

What I've done wrong, or how can I "fix" something?

    Thank you.

It is not particularly difficult.  The general problem with external hard drives is that they end by moving and sometimes shaken, dropped or struck in a certain way.  Internally, these are quite delicate things.

2.5 type "are much more delicate than the 3.5" those who are about 20 times the mass.  2.5 type disks "are much more likely to fail.

Heat can be a major problem, according to the design of the external enclosure.  In general, very few are designed to be left turned on for more than 2 hours before they heat up too.  The heat is the greatest destroyer of all electronic components.

You say that you have installed the reader in housing.  Be sure that it is firmly in place.

If for some reason, the drive you have installed has become corrupted, and happens often, as I have described, it is highly unlikely that you will retrieve data from it.  However, the only hope you have is to save the hard drive, you have used physical and make usable again.

According to your description, Windows on your computer can detect your external drive housing but may or many do not detect that there is a disc inside.  You can confirm that Windows detects the drive case, you describe AND be able to detect that there is a disc inside by following the instructions in my previous post.

    1. Right click on computer, select manage.
    2. Disk management
    3. Find your new drive

If you do not see your drive listed there, the drive itself has failed and it is essentially waste.

IF you do not see your drive that there are listed, you have confirmed the theory and must now:

    1. Right-click on the open space that is not initialized
    2. Choose the option that is shaped and initializes the volume

Assuming that you can re - initialize and format the hard drive, your next step is to download and run the test software by the hard drive manufacturer to determine if the drive itself is a failure.  I can give you a link to download the correct software if you will provide a model number of the drive - print on the label on the disc.

  • Driver webcam, peripheral USB not recognized?

I have the MSI WIND U135. I use Windows XP and everytime I turn on my webcam, it comes up with the bubble yellow saying: USB device not recognized. In Device Manager, I usually have a scanner and camera tab, but I have now.  I don't know what to do. Thanks in advance for the help.

Hello Megan, you can resolve this problem by updating the drivers...

Download each of these files and right-click on it and click on extract all. Then go to the folder and run the Setup file and follow the instructions.
Each of them, install in the order that they are listed below.

After installation, restart your PC, and it should work.
If it does not, then there is a hardware failure in an integrated device. If it is under warranty, you can get it checked by the manufacturer.

Hello, just for your info. I ran the patch program, but it didn't really do anything but say I had a problem with something and I had to pay someone to watch. Someone I know told me that the last thing that I had loaded several days before the problem was probably the problem. The only thing that was new was Avast program, so I uninstalled. But this does not work, I still had the usb problem before and after I reinstalled it. Also, I discovered that I had a problem to interface with Avast and after repeatedly talking about them and trying hard and it doesn't work, they wanted me to use their special program program uninstall in safe mode and uninstall Avast. So I did, then I reinstalled it and it fixed the problem to interface with Avast. Then a few hours later, I tried to use my usb ports again, just for the * of it. And quess what, they worked. Yes in some way the avast program stopped my work usb ports, when I installed it first. Avast said he couldn't have their summer program? Well it works now anyway. Thank you, Greg

    Hello

If a PC (not a laptop) the port USB can be replaced if necessary with a card and they are not expensive.
A laptop would need a computer store real (no leeks and glances at a BestBuy or other BigBox
    Stores) or system manufacturer support.

Check / settings (BIOS/CMOS) often F2 when you start screensaver - make sure that the embedded USB
    is activated.

Follow these steps to remove corruption and missing/damaged file system repair or replacement.

  • Computer laptop everything suddenly does not "see" my wireless router, use to work properly

I have a HP laptop and it has implemented a wireless network a wireless d-Link N router.  Everything worked well for about 3 months.  Now, he can not connect.  Running the troubleshooting application to choose a connection - all my neighbors show up, but not that of my house.  The router is also new (he and laptop were Christmas gifts).   It used to work fine with Windows 7 one and now nothing...  I can't it appears in the list of wireless connections.
My laptop 5 years running XP is in line with this router and it works fine - so I don't think that it is the router that is the problem.
    Thank you!

    Hello Bchek,

Thank you for your message.  Check with your D-Link documentation and settings to make sure that the SSID broadcast has not been disabled.  This would prevent you from being able to see the wireless network.  Please let us know if it did or did not help to solve your problem.

  • InDesign won't open; Remove preferences, uninstalled/reinstalled. Used to work properly.

    Hey all,.

I use InDesign CC for some time and for some reason that I can't quite understand this suddenly stopped working, literally from one day to the next. I didn't install anything else, nor my computer passed through updates.

I uninstalled InDesign, CC update to the latest version and reinstalled InDesign, and it still not open. I've deleted preferences and cache without result.

I am on Windows 7 and when I look at my task manager after the application is closed, I see that it never closes completely. He's always sitting. This is getting very frustrating that I have a client project that I am currently unable to complete, and I am paying for InDesign CC and cannot use it.

I would appreciate any insight. It's really driving me crazy.

Thanks a lot for your time!
