As soon as we open the administrator it is specially configured to run a specific program of our choice, but if the PC keeps restarting whenever it feels like it, there is no history chart tend to save. It is essential, that we need.

  • restore the default permission settings in vista

    How to restore the default permission settings in Vista

    I had problems sharing files and went to different media pages, mainly integrated ones. I changed the user permissions and tried to add the user on the Security tab, but I must have done something wrong. 128-bit encryption seems to be lost. Maybe it's that everything that triggers this file was transformed into a "read only" file (which has happened to another file, I've tried to share). Any help will be appreciated.

    Hello

    To reset security settings back to default, take a look at the following article:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/313222

    • Click the ball to Start .
    • Under Search, type cmdand press ENTER.
    • Type the following command, and then press ENTER:

    secedit/configure /cfg %windir%\inf\defltbase.inf/db defltbase.sdb / verbose

    You receive a "task is completed" message and a warning message that something was impossible. You can ignore this message.

  • How to call permission settings specific app

    Does anyone know all the parameters of invocation to summon the settings of the Application for a specific application's permissions?

    There are documented for notification of the specific application settings method .
    However, this approach does not work for app-specific permissions. Some the developers think that it is not possible at all.

    However, Device Monitor on 10.3.2 manages to do exactly that, somehow!
    For example, if you open the details of the application Stats provider, there is a link "to improve the battery life, you can turn off the race when minimized this app permission.» change your App permissions. " This link directly opens the map in the app-specific permission settings.

    So there must be a way?

    OK, after you apply some black magic to a certain file .bar kindly provided by Knowyou, I figured it out.

    First of all, some include:

    #include
    #include
    #include

    Make sure to link the corresponding libraries by adding the following line to your .pro file:

    LIBS += -lbb -lbbsystem

    Finally, copy the following code will open the authorization of your application settings page:

    bb::PackageInfo packageInfo;
    bb::system::InvokeManager invokeManager;
    bb::system::InvokeRequest request;

    request.setAction("bb.action.OPEN");
    request.setMimeType("settings/view");
    request.setTarget("sys.settings.card");
    request.setUri("settings://permissions?appId=" + packageInfo.installId());
    invokeManager.invoke(request);

    Please keep in mind that this behavior is not documented and could change in the future.

    In the meantime, enjoy!

    Lately, I'm getting this system error a lot now that I've upgraded to Windows 8 Pro is an event DistributedCom 10016 ID. Here is the text of the error:

    The application-specific permission settings do not local Activation permission for the COM with the CLSID server application

    Anyone has an idea why I get this error?
    Walt

    Same thing here. Grayed. Windows 8.1 seems to fill the observer of events with many more errors than previous versions.

    Edit: OK, discovered why it is grayed out. There are 2 reg key, you must set permissions before going to the Configuration of DCOM in component services. The CLSID key and the APPID key.

    From another forum, although it applies to a different application, same principle:

    1. open Regedit.
    2. go in HKEY_Classes_Root\CLSID\ * CLSID *.
    Note: * CLSID * stand for the ID that appears in your event viewer error. In your case, it is {C2F03A33-21F5-47FA-B4BB-156362A2F239}.
    3. right-click on it and select authorization.
    4. click on Advance and change owner to administrator. Also click on the box that will appear below the threshold of owner.
    5. apply a full control.
    6. close the tab, then go to HKEY_LocalMachine\Software\Classes\AppID\ * APPID *.
    Note: * AppID * is the ID that appears in your event viewer. In your case, it is {316CDED5-E4AE-4B15-9113-7055D84DCC97}.
    7 right-click on it and select authorization.
    8. click on Advance and change the owner to administrators.
    9. click on the box that will appear below the line owner.
    10. click on apply and grant full control to the administrators.
    11. close all tabs and navigate to the administration tool.
    12. open component services.
    13. click on the computer, click my computer, and then click DCOM.
    14 find the corresponding service that appears on the display of the error.
    15. right-click on it, and then click Properties.
    16. click the Security tab, and then click Add a user. Add the SYSTEM and then apply.
    17. check enable local.

    Then use the relevant keys here and the DCOM Config utility should give you access greyed onareas:

  • Do not have the permission to a folder, but I am the admin. (win7)

    Hey, I get these errors when you try to copy into the folder D:\Program Files 2 and if I try to delete anything from him, he said 'you must be authorized to perform this action. " Even though I am the administrator of the computer it still doesn't let me copy/delete the files it contains.

    I tried to use the Take Ownership reg. authorization, but when I try to take ownership on this folder, in the CMD window, it says "SUCCESS: the file or the folder D:\Program Files 2 is now owned by RAYHAN-PC ' but underneath it just says:" INFO: access denied. "< d:\program="" files="">

    and I still can't edit the program files 2.

    One thing I noticed, is that subfolders inside Program Files 2 gives the full control permission to the admin, but not the user. And if I try to click on the Security tab in the folder properties window, he says "the permissions on are misclassified, which can cause some ineffective entries" and I can't change the permission settings. It says I need to reorganize the permissions, but if I try to reorganize and give full control to USERS, he said only: "access denied".

    I tried Googling for answers, but nothing helped.

    Hi Ray,

    Screenshots as soon as you have provided and since the last post you made, it seems to me that AVG is installed in the D drive on the computer and it runs in the computer. As I mentioned in one of my previous posts, if you have any program installed in this folder in the D drive in the computer, you will not be able to remove the contents of the folder.

    At this point, I would ask you to uninstall AVG (and any other program installed in this folder in drive D) and check if that helps. In order to completely uninstall AVG, you must download and run the utility of deletion there, provided by AVG at this link.

    Let is know if this helps or not.

  • I need to adjust the settings of group policy

    Recently, we received two gift PC running Windows 7 Professional.  Even if I used many versions of Windows for more than 20 years, I'm not a qualified administrator.  The donor said that each had been implemented to limit the ability of users to access all storage devices.  This is required by the policy.  In particular, users are only to be allowed list, read and read and execute permissions of files on the hard drive.

    I tested a user account and found to my dismay that users could, in fact, write files on the hard drive.

    I also found that the USB drives were not available in my account and the user account.  This is required for users.  However, as an administrator, I need to use these drives from time to time.  I fixed that by editing the registry by changing the value in HK_LOCAL MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSetServices\UsbStor 4-3.  Later, I found I could open gpedit\Local computer local\modeles Templates\All settings and click on all removable storage Classes: deny all access.  The options available were not configured, enabled (selected) and disabled.  I disabled it.  (I know I have to reactivate when I'm finished.)
    In addition, I found that the optical drives were inaccessible in my account and the user account.  Again, it is also mandatory for users.  I need to use this disk to install the software.  I went to the register to HK_LOCAL MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSetServices\cdrom and Enum.  Nothing jumped out at me, so I did nothing.  I searched gpedit for setting I could use but found nothing.

    I consulted C:/properties/security and found four names or groups, of which two were user names.  Permissions for them are limited to read & execute, list the contents of the folder, and read.  These seem to be default settings.  The permissions system and included all items except special permissions administrators.  All this order seemed to be in.

    I clicked on advanced and click on the tabs of the permissions and effective permissions.  A number of line items have been shown.  I decided that I didn't have enough to make changes.

    So users are properly restricted from removable media and removable drives but they have rights to write to the hard disk, which they should not.  I am unable to use the optical drive.

    Is there a way I can fix it all?

    1. is it possible to block and unblock the internal optical drive?

    Run gpedit.msc policy editor and check its many options. It is probably one that allows you to do this.

    2. is it possible to effectively limit the use of the disc hard as game comes in my post?

    The normal operation of Windows requires write access to the hard drive. Without write access, Windows will not work. However, you can set your own permissions to prevent write access to specific folders or folder trees. To access permission settings, right-click a folder, and then click "Properties".

    How to change permission vote drive. The permissions and ownership of roc and permanent voting record, even after rebooting.

    Kind regards

    Oracle: dba, no root: disk should belong to disks used by Oracle (including the voting disk, OCR and data).

    Follow these steps on both nodes:

    -as root, stop the clusterware (if nothing left alive to it): crsctl stop crs f
    -identify the disks used by Oracle and the owner of oracle: dba: chown oracle: dba Envoy
    -then start the clusterware: crsctl start crs

    There are many ways to make permanent permission settings, depending on your storage configuration.
    The simplest (and dirtiest) way I use on virtual machines is to add "chown oracle: dba Envoy ' in /etc/rc.local
    The best way is to set permissions with udev, or storage configuration itself if its possible with the method used.

    You can also check specific permission settings by using the permissions of the Page Info dialog Committee. While on the site, you can call this using one of these:

    • Right click and select View Page Info > permissions
    • (menu bar) Menu Tools > Page Info > permissions
    • Click the icon of padlock or globe to the left of the address of the site > additional information > permissions

    Scroll down and look for "access your location. If it is set to block and you want to enable it, you can make the change. (If necessary, uncheck the box to activate specific use default settings.)

    Thank you for using communities of Apple Support.

    I see that you have access to a folder on your 1 TB drive greyed. I use an external hard drive to store my projects as well, so I know how it is important that we get this resolved. There are a few things I would like you to try.

    Start by using the OS X Mavericks article: set permissions and make sure that the permission settings are correct for you to see this folder, specifically, these sections:

    Assign permissions to users and groups

    1. Select a drive, folder, or file, and then choose file > read the information.
    2. If the information contained in the sharing and permissions is not visible, click the triangle.
    3. Select a user or group in the name column, and then choose one of the following values from the drop-down list in the column privileges. If necessary, click the lock icon and enter the name and password of administrator.

    Apply permissions to all items in a folder or disk

    1. Select a folder or disk, and then choose file > read the information.
    2. Click the lock icon to unlock it, and then enter the name and password of administrator.
    3. Choose "Apply to the items included" from the Action pop-up menu (looks like a gear).

    And if you still have a question after that, I advise to use the resources below to isolate the software that runs on the iMac. You can do this by testing in safe mode and a new user. Once you're in safe mode and a new user test and see if you get the same result of file greyed.

  • Videos of Facebook does not, Firefox 31 or 32

    31 FF videos and Facebook had never played, so upgraded to 32 without change. After the update 32, Adobe Flash 15 current, cookies and cleaned cache, hardware acceleration disabled on the TOOLS, SETTINGS of FLASH and CONTROL PANEL and restarted with disabled modules - still no luck. It wasn't a problem with FF 28 nor currently a problem with Google Chrome.

    Videos play on YouTube and other sites.

    FLASH - SOLUTIONS "GLOBAL STORAGE SETTINGS".

    I went to the control panel of the Flash site. It is considerably larger than the one that pulls up with a 'right click' the mouse on the video.
    [[Flash panel |]] http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager02.html]]

    I saved it as a bookmark to find my way back if necessary

    I have "loosened upwards' a couple of permission settings and now it works fine.

    One who actually work or not is the second folder, settings global storage and ticked the box - 'allow content to store data on your third-party computer Flash." The scroll bar is always set to 0.

    I tried this on the limited context (right-click on the vidoe) LOCAL standard control earlier and no luck. There is nothing on the OVERALL setting Panel for it.

    All settings are back to the original except for the one above on the second folder and it works fine. The second box, store common Flash components, has already been verified.

    The video and audio quality is just as good as my local drive.

    This must have happened with the last update.

  • Files downloaded suddenly began to have the wrong group permissions

    I'm on a 10.7.5, using FireFox 24 Imac.
    Suddenly, all the files I download through FF could be consulted from anywhere else in the network, except my Imac. I finally checked the permissions of files downloaded to find that FF began to restrict group access (anyone = no access). Never had this problem before. Somehow FF started obeying does not target folder permission settings.
    I tried a lot of bugs, I even deleted FF with all its relevant files... done a clean install, but the problem won't go away. Important to note that Safari and chrome still download all files with correct group permissions.

    Happy to report this very annoying problem is now gone.
    I've just updated to FF 25 and now the permissions on uploaded files are back to normal, with authorized access group.
