Permissions classic blackBerry apps

When you add apps, it still gives the warning that the security permissions can be changed in the application's permissions. Yet, when I go to the application as for Candy Crush Permissions - permission for location is "grayed out" and I can't change that.  Why this is gray and how can I remove this permission. Same for the Amazon appstore who wants to not only access by also shared files location.  Thank you

The reason that you see the permissions shown this way on your device for certain applications (such as Candy Crush Saga) is because they are Android applications. Some permissions, such as shared files, and the location cannot be changed for Android applications as they can be for native applications for BlackBerry 10.

    Hello!

I'll be back to use the classic BlackBerry since the world of the iPhone. So far so good (knock wood!)

I would like to start using an application called CamCard, but I am told by Google game I have to wait? Why?

It's stupid, as with Apple, you can download the application immediately and set up and you're running.

Is there a reason for this? Or am I missing something here?

Good news! I just figured that he must go to the store to get your APPs and not Google games Amozon store. Guess I learn.

Downloaded the APP, CamCard perfectly and synced my contacts again perfectly.

So I'm a happy camper now, as I was afraid that my list of contacts should again be recharged everywhere, but fortunately not!

  • Is there a Firefox application available for the classic Blackberry 2015 model?

I have a classic Blackberry. I was wondering if it is possible to obtain a browser Firefox on a classic Blackberry app to use rather than the stock browser?

    TThanks

The BackBerry operating system is like 10 BlackBerry and the BlackBerry Tablet OS older for PlayBook is based on QNX. Once long ago, you could build Firefox for QNX, but support for QNX has long been removed from the Mozilla source tree.

There has been no development of Mozilla mobile browser for any material or BlackBerry OS.

Mozilla Firefox has for mobile desktop Windows, Mac OSX, Linux and Firefox for Android 2.3 +. There is also the "BONE of Firefox" used on say that some budget phones and some new Tv's Panasonic. They have also recently started with a shell for iOS 8.2 Firefox browser +.

  • BlackBerry App Evernote a shared folder on classic BB

I shared a folder of Evernote Premium on a Mac and an iPad App Evernote (Basic) on a classic BB. Even if a message is received on the classic indicating that I can't further. I can get to a long reference that the classic tells me that there is no software on the device to open it or the browser opens how I like Evernote does not support the BB browser and invites me to download the app - which I already have!

It seems to be going around in circles...

    Help please

    Ok. I have it.

I'll have to experiment, but cannot do so now. I hope that someone will respond before that I'll be back if they don't know a solution.

(A laptop, I shared with my wife, but she did not really get with the idea, so I really got to dig into it with the BlackBerry or computer. But I dig this evening. As far as I know right now, your experience may be the rule. What I am curious to know is if shared notebooks can be linked to or access the app Evernote on the BlackBerry).

(For what it's worth, what I do instead is also sharing individual notes with woman and other app Evernote. It's as easy as using surveys BBM, BBM group, e-mail).

(Thought hard, here is what I'm going to try: account Evernote from my wife, I will create a test booklet and share with me.) I'll answer with a desktop computer accept and see what there is to do this laptop to display on my Evernote. From there, I'll see then if this laptop shared test appears in the Evernote on BlackBerry App. I am sure that the acceptance of the offer of shares will have to be done from a desktop browser. We'll see. If you give a try in front of me, after what you learn.)

  • Classic BlackBerry is unable to get a new version of the app

    Hello!

The current version of Navitel Navigator app (https://appworld.blackberry.com/webstore/content/33343371/?lang=en&countrycode=RU) in AppWorld is 9.6.486 and Blackberry Classic is marked as device supported. But when I'm looking for this app on my classic BlackBerry (in AppWorld application), I see that 9.2.0.4 only version is available. I send email to the developer of this application and I got the answer, that there is problem of BlackBerry App World. So... How can I get the latest version on my device?

    Hi @sneer

I suspect that the developer has another version of the device application according to BB10 you use, for example on my jump I shows me 9.5.30.0

That being the case, when you contact the developer I would ask them to check what version of their app, they have 'activated' for each device BB10 and mention the different versions being shown in this thread based on device type.

My suspicion is a device with the version 9.6, but other devices were not activated with the version 9.6.

    I hope this helps

  • BlackBerry App investigating the classic BlackBerry, T-Mobile and the WiFi calling app

I am looking for on this forum after being (possibly) achieved through BlackBerry World (located here, so you can make reference to what I'm going to talk: https://appworld.blackberry.com/webstore/content/35524900 ) this app is marked as 'BlackBerry Lmtd' being the developer, that's why it is implicit that BlackBerry updates to this app and is responsible for its support. I am at this point, after trying (for weeks) to find how this whole process of WiFi calling went down, I was told by T-Mobile at the level executive response that BlackBerry was next to insider support. In its current form the above application currently supports only prior 2 BB10 peripheral T-Mobile, the Q10 and Z10. Despite the classic hit the shelves of T-Mobile, despite the fact that T-Mobile as well as the TWO classic BlackBerry supports WiFi called, it seems to come down to this app gets an update. I write here wondering if there is information about the status of this application as well as the support with regard to devices. Will be it be updated to include the classic? Is this a known issue? Is this really T-Mobile app? Just anything, any kind of transparency or tiny tidbit of information be always so would appreciate! If anyone has information or can better direct me on where to take my survey, I am more than happy to wait for your answers! Thank you for your time.

That's the beauty of this site... we do not work for carriers, nor for the BB. So, we can be truly independent and share more that they would be allowed to share. But, keep in mind that everything we know is therefore not official (unless it is a public site, such as the database of BB KB). We are sure that we are right on these points, but being not "in it", we can't know with 100% certainty.

You're most welcome and good luck!

  • BlackBerry BlackBerry classical music App AlbumArt

I have a classic BlackBerry running 10.3.1 and I loaded a 64 GB SD with about 40 GB of mp3 files in a structured artist, hierarchy Album with each Album folder containing a Folder.jpg file for album art. For some reason, the app has picked up all of the artists alphabetically A to G, but H-Z are all showing empty. Is there a way to force a new analysis that would take the rest work?

I tried a hard reset with the same result, so I decided to erase the SD card and start copying the files through again; It worked and everything seems to work fine now.

    Thank you

  • Update of classic blackBerry for amazon app froze my bb classic

Amazon app came pre-installed on the classic BlackBerry (Rogers is the service provider), the recent update notification began to stop the update in the middle of installation, reset my device so I ignored it, but the pop-up notification has continued every day so tonite I've updated, and of course, it turned off my device totally (completely frozen).  I had to call Rogers for help.  Anyone has the same problem?  BlackBerry even cares to know about this?  Amazon app being preinstalled I can't remove it off the unit.  I asked Rogers to escalate the problem to Blackberry but don't know if they even have such connection to the preparer of the device!  Does anyone have a suggestion?  (other that ignore the notification for the update)?

    Hello

Please clarify... is this notification of update on the OS device? The Amazon App? The Amazon App Store App? Something else?

Is your functional device otherwise now? You say that it froze completely, but I can't say whether she thawed again at some point.

    Let us know.

  • BlackBerry App Viber unavailable for classic Blackberry?

I just upgraded my BlackBerry "BOLD" in the classic Blackberry and went to install the apps I often use & discovered Viber isn't available for BB... any thoughts we if it will come back?  Or other applications that have a similar operation?

I went through anxiety even when I first upgraded, but don't be afraid. In order to get a lot of these applications, that you expect to be available, you need to sideload "SNAP" (search for instructions on how to get the snap) which is an application that will give you access game store of google at the bottom of the support Android applications that will be run on your new classic. I was about to pack up and return my Classic when I thought that viber and uber and online app were not available because the BB world and shop Amazon store do not list these applications. It takes about 10 minutes start to finish to get app loaded Snap and you'll be good to go. I was able to get Viber, Uber, line and a host of other applications that I used to have on my "BOLD".

  • BlackBerry app of classic set-up will not stop

Hello... I need help here. I recently bought a classic Blackberry. I use it as a phone only. My carrier is Rogers Wireless. I have no internet/WiFi on this phone because that's what I chose when choosing a plan with Rogers.

My question is: how to remove or close the application of the implementation. I keep deleting the guest of installation, but he keeps his back and alert me to continue together to the top.  I can't continue because this phone cannot connect to WIRELESS internet. Is there a way to get around this. I bought the phone outright. I love my phone except for this annoying problem of set-up...

    Help, please

    Your help is highly appreciated

Hello and welcome to the community!

First of all, a precision if you don't mind...

    Rita58 wrote:

Your Rogers data plan has nothing to do with the ability of the device to work through WiFi. Unlike legacy devices, BB10 devices can be fully functional for all exclusive data BB services via WiFi only and does not require a no matter what data plan of any carrier.

    Help, please

Interesting... as a test, I just made a security WIPE on one of my spare devices (my Q10), so that the initial Setup Wizard would be launched. In that, I can't find any way to jump past the stage of connection WiFi... so I'm very unprofitable to understand how you did that.

My suspicion is that, since the unit can use the WiFi and the use of the WiFi of the device undergoes no additional cost, that the device requires a WiFi connection at least during the initial installation. This makes some sense actually... the BONE may need to updated, patches, or fixes important and those that cannot be delivered to the device by the carrier voice network... just a connection of data network capable of providing these things to the device. WiFi being basically 'free', it feels a little sense to require a WiFi connection (at least in the initial Setup).

In addition, the safety of the appliance depends greatly connectivity to the server infrastructure of BB for the BBID and other items related to safety. These institutions are not accessible via the voice carrier network and require a data network connection.

Overall, using a device of BB as a phone 'only' is actually a bit of a rare case 'use' I would think. BBs have been initially designed as the data, with added voice telephony devices after... and this view of original design continued with them throughout their life cycle.

But, once again, I'm at a loss to understand how you managed to work around the WiFi configuration on the initial Setup, because I find it impossible to circumvent.

I guess I suggest you find a WiFi network you can connect to, get this stuff done and then off the WiFi radio on the device. Who should leave you and then use it as you desire ("phone only").

    Good luck!

  • Questions classic blackBerry Blackberry Classic compared to the features and functions of the Bold 9900

I am extremely satisfied with the functionality of my Blackberry Bold 9900 and yet I am fun the idea of upgrading to a classic Blackberry and had a few questions, some of them functional, but one of them is technical:

    (1) I have granularily configured different contacts to the ring through "silent" while some people may sound through if I'm having a NAP or sleep. The classic allows you granularily configure the option of 'ring through' on a manually configured silent mode?

    (2) can the classic surely go to sleep and wake up one day of week / weekend schedule? My current phone doesn't sleep at midnight and wake up at 06:00 every night of the week and 02:00 to 09:00 on weekends.

    (3) back in the day of Blackberry older had a view "of today" where you could see the incoming email and tasks on the main screen. I couldn't get that with my Bold 9900, but I found this interesting app called BePopup which jumps to the top of my texts and emails on the screen as they come, without touching a button. Can you get automatically posted emails or texts with that with the classic?

    (4) the Blackberry plan I have with my provider uses the platform communications for my Blackberry RIM and so my e-mails are immediate, arriving minutes always quicker than other CC (iPhone and Android users) distribution lists. That being said, is the new classic uses what platform these other phones use for messaging connectivity?

Any feedback regarding these essential functions would be greatly appreciated as it will help me in my decision. I am very happy with my 9900 and have little reason to upgrade... unless all of these options are available.

1.) Yes, you can see: http://docs.blackberry.com/en/smartphone_users/deliverables/67769/alc1334332742901.jsp

2.) I don't think that this feaure is available, I'm not quite sure

(3.) I'm not familiar with the view "today." To develop?

Yes 4). 10 blackBerry smartphones requires more BIS data plan. Given regular or WiFi will work.

  • Classic BlackBerry takes as much time to open an application. Is this normal?

Recently, I received my new classic Blackberry (Verizon Wireless). I love my keyboard and how e-mail works. But this phone has these long delays while trying to do something.

I set up my account of the Bureau de change.

When I open the reminders and select the folder my tasks it takes 20 seconds to load. If I answer a phone call and return to reminders, I must wait for another 20 seconds. Is this normal? Or something is wrong? I have to reset the phone?

I appreciate any help or input I can get.

    Do this for me.

Open settings > App Manager > Device Monitor
-At the top, set the drop-down list for last 24 or 48 hours
-See what are the top 3 - 4 applications/processes that are using your battery more.
-Down press the CPU and what are the top 3-4 applications or processes that use CPU?

    No, leave open and running.

Come on do not forget open or tasks or whatever take so long to open. Leave it open.

Return to the screen of the device in a few minutes and check the use of your CPU (game of the fall from top to the bottom for "since last load) and see what app or apps spike in CPU during recent times while trying to open applications.

  • BlackBerry App no matter what weather app with Push alerts?

Anyway to have severe weather push alerts from any weather application sent to your homepage on the version of the software SQC100-2 classic BlackBerry # 10.3.2.556? The Weather Channel app I had on my old Blackberry 9300 could be established to send alerts to time violent push but now won't do the app preloaded on my classic AcuWeather. And I downloaded the Weather Channel currenet Blackberry World app and do not push weather alerts, that I could find in the application of any myself. Anyone know a weather app that will work with the classic, I described here which would push severe weather alerts? Thanks in advance.

    Hello

I use BeWeather Pro, and he pushes alerts very well. He puts a 'star' on the icon of the application, as well as for diving information in the Notifications Hub section. I have, however, a conventional model, to test specifically, but I know that it worked well on my Z10 my Z30 and my Q10.

    Good luck!
