Personal profile settings GONE!
Last night I was using my computer, it suddenly stopped. When I tried to start it, it wouldn't start for a little while, then it starts later. When he started, it's the weirdest thing: I logged on my account (Administrator) and rather that start, the screen got a message saying "fill in your office." When it finally began, I realized none of my personal settings were there and all my documents, files, music and photos are GONE. I had to reset and reinstall everything, Itunes, Mediaplayer, Microsoft Office, Internet, everything! Since then, I tried to find a solution, and whenever I restart my laptop, everything I have reset and reinstalled is gone again! It feels like the laptop no longer any 'short memory capacity'! Laughing out loud! I've already created a new account as an administrator and checked if my previous profile is still there and it is! Only when I try to copy it to the new account, I created a message appears saying that the account is not found. None! I'm going crazy on this subject! I already spent 2 hours all that I can do and don't get any results at all. I also did a disk cleanup and restarted the laptop several times, but NOTHING. I am running Windows Vista. Please help me!
Hi cases desperate,.
Your old user profile seems to be corrupted. I suggest the following steps. You should be able to use any application and you need to have to reinstall.
Step 1
If you have important data on your old user account, you can make a backup of the data or move them to the new user account and delete the old account.
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/fix-a-corrupted-user-profile
Step 2
You try to perform a scan on your computer to check for infections.

I hope this helps.

Loading staff/profile settings
Hi, I use Windows Vista Home Premium and whenever I turn on my Sony Vaio desktop computer, it fails to load my personal settings and profile - that is, I can still use my computer, but I can't see or access my documents and when I open Internet Explorer, all my favorites have disappeared. I tried restarting the computer as stopping completely & turning turn it back on. But still does not work.
Does anyone have advice as to how I can get my personal profile/settings to load?
Thank you
WeiHello

Firefox does not open for me to make changes in order to correct the problem. The error box simply States that personal information settings do not exist or are inaccessible. This isn't a problem on this computeror I wouldn't be able to send this message.
This is usually caused by a problem with the file profiles.ini and the profile marked as the default value = 1 is no longer present on the hard drive.
- Windows: '% AppData%\Mozilla\Firefox\ '.
- Linux: ~/.mozilla/firefox/
- Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/Firefox /.
- Remove the profiles.ini file to force Firefox to create a new default profile
- Use the Profile Manager to create a new profile
- "Select a file" allows to retrieve an existing profile, if there is always a present
- http://KB.mozillazine.org/Profile_Manager
- https://support.Mozilla.org/KB/managing+profiles
- http://KB.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox
See also "create a profile":
- http://KB.mozillazine.org/Standard_diagnostic_-_Firefox#Profile_issues
If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a profile in the new profile, but be careful not to copy files corrupted to avoid transporting on the problem.

Initially, it appeared that in the administrative account and she is now with my personal account. Anyone know 1) why this is happening and 2) how I can move the profiles. Thank you.

Several connection profile with the profile settings of 'master' unique in force.
I am trying to install "existing" of several user profiles that, as soon as the opening of session will load automatically the parameters of a "master" profile This "master" profile will be updated periodically by the administrator. I want to eliminate the need for the administrator manually copy the update 'master' profile to all existing user profiles. Instead, in the case of each user login they would automatically have profile settings updated, while now the permission level for each user. I'm not a computer scientist, but I am sufficiently well informed to be able to follow some fairly general instructions. I'm very grateful for any input. Windows 7 Ultimate
Could only be done through the development of a custom software that must be run under the main administrator account and would update the respective user accounts directly. A task force in and of itself would be particularly useful, but I guess that computers A and B distinct users that may be useful.
What you want to do would be best addressed with a true Windows server and domain that would allow the creation and the management groups and a lot of administrative control. -
Dear,
How can I configure settings regional profile?
Hello
Regional profile settings
step 1:
- In
, create the following file:/home/localconfig /atg/userprofiling/userProfile.xml
- Edit this file to include the new locale. Locale is defined in the
dps_user
table, under thelocale
property. Specify a language code and country, as defined by the ISO 639 and 3166 respectively, for each of the new locale. Separate language codes and country using underscore, for exampleit_IT
. You must also provide a uniquecode
for each locale. When you are finished, youruserProfile.xml
file will resemble the following:
3.GetProfile.SetPropertyValue ("locale", en_US);

Migrate local user view Persona profile
With the help of VMware view Horizon 5.3. I have an old persistent VM that the user has a local profile (software developer w / Visual Studio etc) I want to change to use Persona as everybody in our environment. But I don't want to lose its settings (AppData such as Outlook, VS, Adobe Acrobat, etc.). I don't want to have to re-register/activate a bunch of its software and other things. Is there an easy way to do this?
So I just moved the computer in AD to the OU with view Persona GPO active and has the user logon. He converted his roaming profile.

HP 250 G3 laptop: the profile settings of Touchpad
Hello
I'm unable to make persistent changes to the parameters of the touchpad of my laptop. (Synaptics V.7.5 on PS/2 Port). I have the latest version of the driver (April 2016).
Description:
Using of control panels > properties of the mouse > device settings > settings, I'm able to customize the behavior of the touchpad and apply the changes. Step by step to the camera settings and clicking on the profile button, I am able to record the custom profile.
These settings display the default whenever I do the following:- Restart the computer.
- Use a mouse, connected to a USB port.
- Select disable the pointing device internal when the external USB pointing device is attached.
Also, when I select a different scheme of control panels > properties of the mouse > pointers, that parameter also do not support.
Are you able to give me advice on how to maintain my settings?
Hello
Try the following.
Hold down the Windows key and press R
In the run box, type regedit and press enter
In the registry editor, navigate to the following
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Synaptics\SynTP\Install
Inside, look for a key named DeleteUserSettingsOnUpgrade
If it is present, right click on the key and select Edit
Set the field data of the value 0 (zero) , and then click Ok.
Close the registry editor.
Restart the laptop.
When windows has reloaded, bring the Synaptics setting changes you need in the usual way and save them, and then check if they are now retained after a reboot, etc.
Kind regards

User profile &; settings
Not sure what on BOARD to select here. It's on my profile on the FORUM. Next to my AVATAR (upper-left) is what I guess, that's my nickname. I don't remember initially by selecting any Avatar or nickname if the username is one that I use. I just tried slecting a new Avatar, and it worked. However, under the nickname is the word "guardian". It is a complete mystery to me - where did you it comes and how do I get rid of him? While I'm at it, I have an "Avatar". I checked my settings for any instance of "Guardian" or my nickname and don't see them.
Can anyone help?

It seems that your profile has become corrupted and Windows created this new one for you.
Take a look for your Documents

Restore backups. You do not compatible external backups and persistent of the files and folders that are important to you than losing them would ruin at least a few minutes of your day?
Not to mention step 1 of the first link, you said that you have followed...
1. back up whatever it is that you do not want to lose in the profile folder of theC:\Users\(user-name) of this user account, If the profile folder still exists, to another location, and then delete the profile(user name) folder.
Now - if in the first step you did that C:\Users\(your old username) doesn't exist anymore - I refer back to my first statement "backup." He had disappeared before.
In addition - something like Recuva * could * find something--unlikely if... especially given the duration of the use of the system has obtained from erasure.
