  In a service context, here's how retrieve the content as a stream:

  IdcFileDescriptor d = this.m_fileUtils.createDescriptorForRendition (this.m_binder, FileStoreProvider.R_WEB);
  InputStream in = this.m_fileStore.getInputStream (d, null);

  The binder must contain the information (metadata) to identify the document to be retrieved.

• Personalized service at the University Complutense of MADRID 11g - can't find correct .jar files

  I'm migrating some personalized services I created in gr 10, 3 in the new 11 g platform. The services contain some java methods custom that I was upgrading from the previous version by using the server\shared\classes\server.zip package.
  
  It seems that the structure of the new UCM has somewhat changed - I found a package of 11g to ucm\cs\weblayout\common\idcapplet.jar which seems to contain some of the classes, but not all. Specifically, it doesn't have the packs of intradoc.server or intadoc.provider I need to expand the classes of Service and ServiceHandler.
  
  Does anyone know where these packages are kept in 11g, or if they even still exist in the new architecture?

• Error at startup of a personal Service on Server R2 2012

  I is currently investigating an issue with a personalized service that is not start properly. When the service starts, I get the following:

  "A timeout was reached (60000 milliseconds) waiting for the * name * service to connect.

  Now some information:

  This application is a tool of 3rd party used for server communication for mobile devices. The application works fine when it runs directly on the server and the features you would expect. (Please not judge how it works, I support just the product :)) However, once I created the service using a Service Manager it will fail to start. I did the following:

  • Confirmed "run the Service under ' credentials
  • Checked and updated "run as" security through SecPol tool strategy
  • Has created the service using alternative methods, in this example SvrAny
  • Updated the path of service to include the connection switches
  • SysInternals to examine the permissions for the service, but if it does not (the service) you can not query

  This particular server is not on the field of customers (which won't help), but I don't see how this could cause the issue as other services that use the same credentials and database information works very well. Event Viewer does not give much more information, and I am struggling to find a logging party tracking tool 3 to study this new.

  Can you give us some suggestions please?

  Personally, I think it's permissions related or possible concern the DB connection according to viewer error events, but he leads me into the wall now.

• Windows Vista not able to support the WPA2 wireless security problem

  Recently, I upgraded my router wireless to a Linksys 400N series N wireless router.  I use WPA Personal / RTK to authenticate and on all my XP and Vista machines, I was able to enter the security credentials and connect to the network. However, on a computer Windows Vista SP2 I be prompted to enter a field of login/password / username each time I try and connect to the network.  There must asking me my password and that's it.  This same card was working fine like WEP when I use my old wireless router.

  I deleted this adapter wireless network and sharing Center, ensured that the machine is part of the domain, uninstalled the wireless network card (which is also a Linksys product), assured the latest version of the driver and tried almost all the trouble shooting tips I can think.

  I've seen this identified as a problem in a few threads but no final resolution.  Any help/suggestions would be appreciated (no suggestion to buy a Mac tho!).

  Well well, after a diagnosis much more, I have determined that it is certainly a problem of Windows Vista.  If I plug a different adapter in the computer (which runs on a different computer), I get the same problem.  I was on the phone with Linksys for an hour and basically they have thrown in the towel and gave me an RMA for their card, though I doubt it will solve the problem.

  Is there some registry entry to set the type of authentication for a wireless adapter?  It seems that Vista keeps thinking it is the incorrect authentication mechanism.  Is it possible to 'fix' service wireless on Windows?

  Okay, I think that the real problem is that Windows Vista doesn't have the type of select WPA2 security (which is what the router broadcasts).  Is there a way to enter in this somehow?  It seems that Windows determines the types of security available according to the driver for the wireless card.  However, I use a Linksys Wireless-G USB Adapter (WUSBG54) and it says that it supports WPA (although I can't determine if it is only WPA or WPA2 as well).  In any case, hope this additional information helps all those who have a few cycles to provide some guidance.

  WPA or WPA 2 encryption is actually supported by the wireless card that you have installed on the computer. As you only could use WPA earlier, it seems that the wireless network adapter supports only WPA and WPA 2 encryption key.

  1 this port number is the port number used by my computer on the local network or the port number on the other side for example a computer on the Internet, I use this service to connect to? Some services use the same port number on the side that starts the service and the receiving end, but there are services that use different ports for the end of the initiator and receiver. So what is the significance of the port number when creating a custom service?

  Sounds like you are trying to install with the ORIGINAL serial number provided with your product rather than the NEW one with the download.

  Adobe do support the last two versions (10 and 11) so if they have knowledge of 7 at all it's just a lucky accident...!

  Furthermore, I hope that you install on an old computer to Windows XP, because you won't get far in Windows 7 or Windows 8 with this version...

  Details of the full patch for f5 patch are available in this knowledge base article. As a general statement, we encourage everyone to install the patches as soon as they are available through the Update Service, especially if they are marked as Urgent (it is not marked urgent). In this particular case, it is unlikely that you'll turn to all the problems solved by the f5 2012 SP1 hotfix since you use LabVIEW 2013.

  The reason why you see the update in the update service is LabVIEW 2013 installs several versions of the runtime LabVIEW, so Update Service sees that you have on 2012 Run-Time Engine installed and invites you to patch.
