'Phantom', 'Ghost' button on the touch screen "FT200HQL bmjj".
A few days ago, I just bought new 19.5 ""FT200HQL bmjj" and after the first hour of use, he began to experience what can best be described as random" phantom/phantom"key." Touch screen registers the keys at random but while no. we're actually there touch. The only temporary solution I've found so far is to disconnect and reconnect power. But shortly after that the problem reappears.
I intend to buy more than 4 monitors, but if they all come with this "characteristic" builtin, so I'll have to return that I've already bought and to look elsewhere. I did some research on the Internet and it seems that it is a well known problem, has seen many buyers. I hope that strongly, I am sorry that I do not watch buyer's comments earlier.
I have already searched through the knowledge base and community and not found the answer. I even contacted one of the Acer official services in my country, and they have not told me anything useful, just that they will replace the monitor indefinitely even if the problem persists. But the truth is that I need a screen of work not weeks, or even months of tedious repairs and replacements, while I remains monitorless. Yes, are there any solid fix known for this problem?
The computer is a standard desktop Lenovo running Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit. All the drivers and OS updates are up-to-date. The drivers for the Acer monitor only for this model are for Windows 8, so I'm counting on those provided by Microsoft.
Thank you in advance.
Well, I finally got my money back not so well spent!
My iPhone 5, iOS 9.0.2 does not respond to touch. (broken touchscreen) and my home button is broken. my battery is fully charged so that it would take too long to wait until it turns off. I need a way to Hard reset it without a button at home and the touch screen. I know there are 3rd party apps that could do this, but I can't open my phone (no password protection) to 'trust' on this computer. If there are applications that could work around this? Any help is appreciated.
There is no way to do it. You have 2 hardware problems. Time to replace the phone.
I'm having a problem with my Tablet AT300 where it that takes the touchscreen touches - many of them - in a place where it is not to be touched. When I turn it on, it starts to go crazy with the vibrations repeated thought to touch screen that is to be touched. I see the behavior that it is picking up in an area of the screen - the left-hand side from the bottom when held in orientation landscape with the camera at the top. I can say that it's in this area because it retains hit the back button, and if I do then rotate the device to the left, it keeps bring up the pop-up menu settings of the lower right and close it again.
I saw one report of this type of behavior that was caused by a loose wire to drop the device. My Tablet has fallen a few times, but not on hard surfaces. It is possible, but it could also be something else. I am reluctant to remove if it's a software problem (well the fact that it is an area of the touch screen suggests it's material, I guess). I guess I could reset it hard, but to be honest, I don't want to do this because my daughter won't lose its apps and saved games.
So, who is the most likely scenario here, and what is the best way of difficulty? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I found interesting instructions on Youtube:
Toshiba Thrive for the screen replacement repair Guide
I have a Dell XPS L702x infamous Ghost by clicking on issues where the touch screen randomly 'clicks' on arbitrary areas of the screen (mine seems to be in the lower right corner, often minimize all my open windows or opening calendar) and through the upgrade to Windows 8, it seems a former N-Trig driver who disappeared I would disable the touch screen. Now, I have no way to disable the touch screen, and while Google suggested release "Use your finger as input device" under the pen and touch, I don't even have this available to UN-click box on!
So: How can I disable the touch screen on my laptop or y at - it a program that can do for me? I am indifferent in fact using the touchscreen - I'm more concerned with the ability to functionally use my laptop without sporadic clicks on my screen.
I had the same problem with XPS 17 my wife. I needed to restore basic functionality so that disabling the touch screen was acceptable. However, unlike samie (but like you) I didn't "Use your finger as input" option in the control panel.
I tried to disable the device N-Trig driver in Device Manager, but the pilot did not appear to have be properly installed (after the upgrade from win7)
I went on the N-Trig (http://www.n-trig.com/Content.aspx?Page=Downloads_Drivers) driver download site and download the new drivers for windows 8 (I have the feeling that they weren't here last week).
I then when options "Device Manager" on the "Hardware and Sound" page of the control panel.
In the Device Manager screen, I saw a node N-trig DuoSense digitizers with several below subnode (before dev driver install it there was only one).
I right mouse button on the element at the top, with a name that ends by "between the roots" and select "disable."
This touch screen successfully disabled.
Pity to lose the touch screen, but my wife does not use it and I was in danger of my life, as it was.
This USB cable allows to use the touch screen functions. Anyone know where I can buy a replacement?
@oneextremehiker, welcome to the forum.

My home screen button and screen had cracked and I've just fixed. I was told by the repair iphone specialist do not update my phone more because the phone could brick because of the new button on the home screen that has installed.
My impression fingerprint sensor works now more for the phone this new button.
With an update, a software update will brick my phone? I'm on version 9.2.
Unless your screen was repaired by Apple or an Apple authorized repair center, it will not work properly again. The ID of touch will not work. At this point, so you should not try to update of iOS, as this will brick your phone.
Original malfunction has been sounding like turn, but not display. Replaced the trainer, now displlay is on, but does not respond to the inputs of the touch screen. What is the sequence of corrective to fix a malfunction?

In order to thank a Tech for a post click the thumbs up button under the post.
You can even click on the two keys...
There are Visual indicators 'print' named 'fax' 'scan', 'copy' 'web '. below the touch screen of my HP7500A multifunction printer.
Initially, I thought that these are the access keys; There is however no working when I press on them.
What is the function of these buttons, or only for reasons of aesthetitcs?
The words '' print' 'fax' "scan" "copy" "web" "describes the functions performed by the printer.
They are not keys.
Touch screen is the only place to interact with the printer.

My Blackberry Torch 9800 mom´s (carrier is Claro Brasil and the operating system is updated to 6.0 Bundle 2647) isn´t works correctly. Sometimes the touch screen work doesn´t and is sometimes works but not in a perfect way. When I try to type numbers to dial by using the virtual keyboard some keys doesn´t functioned as the back button. When I tap the back the number 3 button appears on the screen. I tried to go down and then upgrade the software using the Desktop Manager but this didn t solve the problem, and even after removing the battery several times the problem remains.
One has had this problem before?
If I can get help in this forum, I'll be more than happy.
Thanks in advance.
To complete this topic I inform guys that the 9800 was his screen changed and it now works fine. Total cost for me was about US $ 100. Not bad.
Thanks for your help guys.
Now I'm looking for the Blackberry 10 phone!
I recently updated my version of Windows (64-bit) with system updates and then a full version updated to version 8.0 version 8.1. After the update is complete, I started to experience a strange problem with the touch screen on my HP Envy Rove. The screen would flash repeatedly one set of points in the right lower quadrant of the screen as if the simulation random screen button. There is no way to stop this. If the screen on a keyboard was pulled up, letters in the place of the flashes would be broadcast in the fields on the screen.
The only way to stop the flashes of screen has been to go into the Device Manager and disable the HID-Compliant device driver. It stopped (system generated keys) flashes, but also disabled my touch screen input. So now the system is usable, but without the benefit of the touchscreen.
Here is the information on the driver:
I tried updating the driver, but this seems to be the latest version available. Go back to the previous version of the driver, could solve the problem, but I could not locate on the support web site.
Any suggestions on how to solve this problem and re-enable the ability of my touch screen?
Downloaded drivers from the manufacturer will be the most tested and up to date available. The best place to download a driver is directly from the manufacturer of the equipment.
So I suggest you to install the driver that is available on the HP website for your model.
Troubleshooting of touch screen in Windows 8
Just reply with the results.
Yes so I had searched day and night for this response, but no results how properly disable you the touch screen on an ASUS B121 or EP121? Allows to start when you go to settings Pen/Touch, is not the option to disable the touch that made the toggle button of not here yet and if you are a digital artist like me to fight with the feather or palm thing is unpleasant, so I asked you see, that I bought Windows 8 and do not wish to sell it or throw it away , and I have people CIHI is the Device Manager and disabling touch here that isn't very course at all is there a way for me to tap into the Windows 7 x 64 settings and withdraw this Pen/Touch application and inserting in Windows 8. I know that Microsoft would be a little angry but after that looking through windows 7 and 8 files ive found several similar things and thought hey this could work
What should I do if the option is not there? Is there a foiegn program to disable like how theres foreign programs to control sound?
1 > Control Panel
2 > Device Manager
3 > human interference Devices (expand it)
4 > then right-click on "HID-compliant device" and select Disable
My problem is similar to other positions, but not exact.
When I use the touch screen of my computer in windows 8, the mouse disappears and does not come up until I restart the computer. After the restart, if I use the touch screen, even once, the needle does not again.
This problem is caused due to conflicts of device, you will not be able to use the touch cursor when a mouse is connected. You will be able to tap on the touch keyboard, but when you scroll or drag the mouse cursor disappears. I suggest you to disable one of the device and check if it helps.
To disable the touch screen, refer to the following steps:
a. click the Start button and click Control Panel.
b. access the material and audio.
c. click Pen and Touch.
d. click on the contact tab.
(e) uncheck the box use the finder as input, this disables touch and stylus.
Otherwise, you will need to disconnect the mouse.
Please reply with the status of the issue so that we can better help you.
First of all, let me thank the poster who already helped me to this question in having posted on the tests under Device Info. My pre in recent weeks has made these 'ghost' hit after I put the phone down or even when I use it. First I wrote chalked up tasks and screen dirty and sometimes a little software as problem clean often arrested and turning then turn it stopped it. These random touch screen became more frequent and cleaning or switch it off had little or no impact. Finally, I read tests on this forum and the touch of the screen test shows that left all of the touch screen does not work. Had a feeling that it was something like that, because when you do the SMS I was no longer able to hit the sign in lower left to start a new text message.
Guess that it is a defect in the screen and also guess there is very little that will see this question but have to ask if anyone else has? I say default as the phone is not never dropped or used in any way that an accident could have happened. Correct me if I have this wrong, but since this is a defect that should be covered by the warranty and no charge? I live very rural and the nearest the actual repair center is more than an hour away so before you go I would like to know if it's something that happens from time to time and I do not see a home solution. Have not even that hooked up to my computer again and I bought the day 1 of the version so no backup tips before you go? BTW am happy with another pre touching itself and launch of things on its own. Finally, and I don't think it's a fault of the screen, but all the advice on the protection of the screen?
Looks like you need a repair on this unit, and yes that would be covered by the guarantee as described. You must call the 877-426-3777 Palm customer service and to set up a repair or replacement.
Here's my problem: my granddaughter for baby love watching YouTube nursery rhymes on my iPhone before the NAP. But sometimes it naturally touches the screen, which stops the video.
Is there a way to disable the TOUCH screen of the iPhone function while keeping the video running?
Yes - you can see that guided access (for example: "Ignore all keys") meets your needs:
A small button in the Customization screen seems out of place. It looks like the Hello feature, but it works.
Firefox 33.1 Win 7 x 64
This is the Hello button to be used with WebRTC which is activated in the next version of Firefox.
He shouldn't be there but in Firefox 33
