Phishing SMS on IPhone

Today, I received an SMS with an embedded URL. While trying to scroll the page, I inadvertently launched the URL which launched a Safari browser session. the URL pointed, http://SomeRandomCharacters/visitor.php. I quickly tried to close the browser, but it seemed to me that the browser had enough time to complete the connection. I'm trying to determine if my sensitive information of contacts etc, may have been compromised. I use this phone to connect to my company email servers. Can a Web site, install the software on my phone or download sensitive information from my device?

I use a 6 IPhone with IOS 9.1.

Thank you.

First things first, I tried to open the url. He returned with an error indicating that the url was wrong.

2, even if the url is valid, it would not be able to install anything on your iPhone.

3, it can not download any information so much sensitive information.

P.S. I didn't sync with Gmail and Outlook

To get the contacts, you will need to export to a vcard file. There are also transfer program in the game of Google to transfer information to an iOS device, but I do not think that it will transfer SMS. • I continue to receive alerts text on Apple Watch while SMS on iphone

I'm having a problem with my Apple Watch.  I continue to receive notifications of text on my watch while SMS on my Iphone 6plus.  My husband doesn't have this problem with his iphone 6s and Apple Watch.  Can someone help with this annoying problem?

    Hello

Make sure the wrist detection is open: on your iPhone, in the application of the watch, go to: My Watch (tab) > General > detection of wrist - turn on.

Also, make sure you wear your watch sufficiently snug on top of your wrist (if it is worn too loosely, your watch may believe that he had been removed from your wrist):

  • How to send SMS from iPhone to MacBook?

I got my iPhone 5 for about 2 years now and want to upgrade, but if I do that, I'll lose all my text messages/iMessages. So I was wondering how I can download them from my iPhone to my MacBook Pro, so I can keep them?

(MacBook Pro 13 "mid 2012, OS X El Capitan 10.11.4 and iPhone 5 is iOS 9.3.1)

    Hello tm1594,

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support.

I see that you are looking to upgrade your iPhone and worry of losing your messages in the process. As a long time that you back up your iPhone 5 before changing phones and then restore this backup, you should be fine. That's what I've had since I got the first iPhone and am on the iPhone 6 + and had no problem losing anything.

This link provides information about backing up your iPhone, on the cloud or a computer and then restore from a backup and moving data to a new iPhone.

  • Phishing SMS

    Hello

This is the message I got last night

in my opinion, this is a phishing attempt, and I blocked this number.

did anyone else have this 'problem' even lately?

    hope this helps

    Hi BuckarooBilly,

This is a scam or 'phishing '. Do not respond to this e-mail.

"Client Gentile" shows that it is a scam. Apple has registered your name and contact information safe. Apple you would by your name, not 'Dear customer '.

Do not delete this e-mail, until the other members of this forum to give you advice on how to safely email to Apple.

    Kind regards

  • Message on iWatch, but not on iPhone

Why my display iWatch a SMS from iPhone to my husband, but he is not from my iPhone? He sent it to my phone number. It is still not on my iPhone.

    Hi Courtenay

You can find that, even if you have not received a text message notification on your iPhone, the message itself is available for reading in the Messages app on your iPhone.

How notification alerts are delivered to your device depends on their status. In order to bring to your attention as soon as possible of new alerts:

-If your iPhone is unlocked, you will receive notifications on your iPhone instead of on your watch.

-If your iPhone is locked or asleep and that your watch is unlocked and on your wrist, you will receive notifications on your watch.

-If your watch is locked or allowed to do not disturb, notifications will be sent to your iPhone.

  • Export of text Messages on PC readable by form

    Hello

Sorry if it's a question of relationship, but I have an iPhone 4 and I would like to transfer my text Messages on my PC in a readable (with photos) such as Word, PDF or HTML format. Maybe even have the ability to transfer them to my iPhone (or at least some parts of their)

Here is a longer version of the question.

My PC that I had my iPhone 4 sync with iTunes crashed. So currently, I'm not synchronized on iTunes. I have a new PC, but I plan to get the iPhone 7 so I thought I'd go with just the new PC and new iPhone combo. I have a laptop that I play with I can sync to my iPhone 4 with iTunes - if it must be done.

If I sync the iPhone 4 to iTunes on my laptop, I want to make sure that the phone does not get wiped out and lose everything that is already on it.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you.

  • iPhone lost and stolen then weird SMS of "Apple".

I'm an IT company, a user recently lost his iPhone on a taxi and no chance to recover. He had access find my iPhone to track down but cannot locate, so he issued remote wipe, and he did. We keep the unit not taken off the list. However, he received a SMS text as below:

    【Find my iPhone】
    Full name of the user,
An iPhone connected to your Apple ID ([email protected]) has been properly connected to the network and tries to be activated. If this is not done by you in person, it is strongly recommended to access the _ http://www.Applefindst.com/us _ to display the location information and retrieve your device.

He did visit the Web site and redirected it to iCloud.com, he login with password as usual, but it says incorrect password.

When it relates to me, I really doubt that the field is a phishing Web site to steal information. I immediately changed her password Apple ID.

And start searching the Internet, I found nothing when Google "Applefinst."
But discovered that the field was just registered by a company in China April 11, 2016

  • Find my iPhone text message phishing fraud? - and attention!

I suspect that the found your iPhone SMS was a phishing fraud to try to get the Apple ID and password. My friend lost his iPhone in Europe. He received a text message that the phone was found and a link to connect to Apple to see its location. I've connected separately, don't use only not this link and saw that my iPhone had no record of the phone that appear anywhere. Don't you think I'm not mistaken? Has anyone else seen elsewhere? Be careful out there.

Yes, it's a fairly common scam.

10 iOS iphone SMS open without entering a password!  You can respond to text messages without entering a password!  How to fix my TEXT with my access code?

    Hi, jandianajones!

Thank you for reaching out by Apple Support communities. From your post, I see that you want to stop your Messages to be accessible on the lock screen. I completely understand wanting to keep your conversations private and to prevent their access without your access code. I'd be happy to help you to know what options you have!

For added convenience, app Notifications have a setting that allows them to be seen and interacted with on your lock screen. It is a setting entirely optional and can be disabled for individual applications under settings > Notifications. Tap the application that you want to adjust (in your case, Messages) and toggle the "Show on lock screen" switch in the off position. You can still receive alert sounds when a message arrives through to be notified, you have received one, but it will not appear on your lock screen. To view, unlock your iPhone and go directly to the Messages app.

More information on Notifications, including how they work and what options you have with them, can be found here: Use of Notifications on iPhone, iPad and iPod touch
