Phone number Call Display - Blackberry Storm 9530 smart blackBerry

I have a blackberry storm 9530 unlocked Verizon wireless, U.S.. But I use it for Canada with Fido service provider. As everything else works like internet, outgoing calls, messenger, emails, etc., the phone seems unlocked. But I noticed it today that display the call does not work. I checked with my service provider, they said I have call display and it should work, but they didn't know anything about this phone then could not help (as the phone is not the provider). So when someone calls I see unknown call number (no name or number display). I don't know if it's a network problem (which I think this isn't because they say its on and should work) or something to be changed in the handset. Please help me if anyone knows how to solve this problem. Thanks in advance!

It could be one of the four solutions... Try these:

1. make sure that you set your own code to the Dialer phone screen > Options > smart dialing.
Set your country Code in this format: "+ xx" where xx = country code. Some countries have two or three-digit country Codes. Do not place not the '+' in the entrance of your contact.
* In the United States, the value of this country as '+ 1' Code and place your code in the appropriate box (this normally the default setting in a new BB).

2. in the same place, change the length of National number for the number of digits corresponding to your country (since some countries have less than 10 as that set by default in the BB). Check out the total numbers, less country code. Do not place not the '+' in the entrance of your contact.
* For example, some countries have a total number to 8 (more than 3 for the country code). You must enter '8 '.

3. you probably have "Content Protection" located on your address book.
Look at the Options > Security > General settings. Scroll down to the content Protection > include addresses = no
* If you don't see it here, your device operating system handles this differently. Look at the Options > Security > encryption.

4. go to Options on your device > Security Options > encryption > include contacts the value 'No '.

    Hello. Can someone please help, when I click on the phone on the z10 that shows you all your logs there unknown number right at the top and below there my BlackBerry. I want to change that on my number but I do not know how? Display my phone number is already checked, which is for when you call people. Someone else has had this problem and fixed it? I've seen people say that you need to change it on the SIM but how do you still find your SIM on the z10?

    Hi BB10User,

    Welcome to the support community!

    You should be able to locate your SIM card settings by using the search feature. Once there, you should have the ability to change the phone number. If this does not help, I suggest contacting your mobile phone provider so that this feature is enabled in the BlackBerry smartphone pulls the phone number of the SIM card. If the information is not met on the SIM card, the number appears as unknown.

    Let me know if this helps.

    I called my local is a Service of Telco and was able to solve this problem.

    I had to press the call (green) first to join the list of calls before pressing the menu button. This is the selection of the General Option.

  • Bubble ID calling of Windows and scan fax said ring, but phone number does not appear

    I have a dual-boot machine. Windows XP 32-bit and 64-bit Windows 7. The modem I (Agere Systems PCI - SV92PP Soft Modem) works with both versions of Windows. Under XP, when the phone rings, Windows fax service appears a bubble of info with the number of the caller in it as it should. In Windows 7, the same pop bubble, but it just says: 'ringing '.  How can I fix this problem so that the phone number is displayed in Windows 7, as if it were in XP? I found some info on it somewhere (sorry, I can't find it now) that said to send a command to a modem, and then restart Windows and watch log file of the modem to see if the caller ID information are recorded in the log and it is, but the number is not displayed in the information bubble.

    I have yet to hear anything of LSI, but a few days ago, I thought about giving up everything on this and tried to install some programs to free caller id to see if they had a job. I didn't like any of them, but one of them did something to the modem or the driver when I installed it because now the caller ID bubble works as it should, with the number of the person calling. I uninstalled the free program that has fixed this, but I'll save it in case I ever have this problem again and I can use the program to fix it again.

  • Call; Phone number to text or call

    When you click on the button, I want to give the user an option, what to do with this phone number: call or send a text message

    Button {
        text: "Call"
        id: phoneNumber
        onClicked: {
            invoke.trigger("bb.action.OPEN")
        }
    }

    attachedObjects: [
        Invocation {
            id: invoke
            query {
                mimeType: "text/plain"
                data: "+38640111222"
            }
        }
    ]

    I don't know what mimeType should be for this action, and if I went completely the wrong way.

    Also as an easy way to achieve this:

    In your appUI.cpp / hand, include:

    #include
    #include

    You must add the LIBS +=-lbbdata to the. File Pro.

    Add these lines to register to the system.phone and access it from QML:

        qmlRegisterType("bb.system.phone", 1, 0, "Phone");
        DataSource::registerQmlTypes();

    Then in the QML file:

    import bb.cascades 1.0
    import bb.system.phone 1.0

    Page {
        Container {
            horizontalAlignment: HorizontalAlignment.Fill
            verticalAlignment: VerticalAlignment.Fill
            Button {
                text: "Call Me!!"
                onClicked: {
                    phone.initiateCellularCall("0038640111222");
                }
            }
        }
        attachedObjects: [
            Phone {
                id: phone
            }
        ]
    }

  • Phone number of hyperlinks in the browser

    Hi all

    My first post, so hi to everyone!  My problem is related to the recognition of phone number in the Blackberry browser: I have created a simple Web using ASP page and displays a series of phone numbers of contact at the bottom of the page.  While numbers like 07811987654 will be automatically recognized as phone numbers and displayed as a hyperlink that, when pressed, will call this number - the internal numbers such as 380 are not recognized as phone numbers because they are just a series of numbers.

    I read a lot of articles which stipulate how it is possible to turn off automatic hyperlinks by using the command:

    But I can't seem to find some sort of configuration parameters to specify the numbers that should be displayed as hyperlinks.

    I was hoping that there is a way I could manually use html tags to tell the browser to interpret anything between the tags as a phone number.

    Is this possible?

    Thanks in advance for any advice.

    Just put the phone within a part of A number.

  • BlackBerry Storm 9530 smartphones stops during calls

    Hello

    My first Blackberry, it's a Storm 9530, and everything seems as it should be-except that it will completely die during calls. Not all the time, but most of the time. (about 4 to 5 times)

    Sometimes I hear a noise from the Bzzz electronic, then the red light comes on, I think I can see an error screen (briefly - not backlit)-then a white screen, then a small clock-face, then the start of Blackberry screen and the loading bar. Takes a few minutes to load, then it's as if nothing happened - until I make the next call.

    I have the Blackberry Desktop Manager on my Macbook. Tells me that newer software is available - but never successfully downloading it, often crashing out of it during the relief phase. The same software on my Windows PC won't even find my phone (even if it appears in the my computer window).

    I read in some messages in the forum, but did not find any problems.

    Here's the bad news: Yes, I bought it on ebay!  Unused and unlocked. I accept full responsibility for my actions! Oh!

    I'm in the United Kingdom using a Virgin SIM card. I realize this will give me limited use BB facilities - but, quite frankly, at this point even end a call would be a joy!

    It comes with a 12 month warranty, but before I send again, I thought I'd post on the forum in case it was a problem with an easy solution. Or any patch.

    Thanks in advance, L

    Well, I'm not really a superstitious person - but I hesitate to hit the solved button in case I have any jinx.

    But it seems that the software update has resolved the problem. So far, so good, anyway. Phone has not stopped since the update.

    Think I'll wait one more day, do a little more of screams and then click resolve.

    On a different note, which can be of interest for all Virgin UK customers: Virgin were to launch their friendly service of BB on January 4 this year, but it has been delayed. Currently, they only provide service BB for the curve and the torch (that they provide on contract). The new service would be welcome all BB phones which users on their own and use the Virgin fare. This year, the latest schedule come into force this service is end of February / beginning of March.

    I cross my fingers. So far, I have a smartphone that can be used for phone calls and texts! Tried to go back to my old Sony Ericsson - at least I could send and receive MMS.

    Enjoy, L
