  I have a HP Pavillion g series (Pavillion g6) computer running windows 7.

  Recently, my laptop started to turn off when it is not plugged in. The battery is still generally about 30-40% (or if the battery icon says) when it shuts down completely.  It shuts down completely and when I try to restart it it starts black screen with "start in safe mode" or "start windows normally" etc. of the options.

  It's really starting to frustrate me, and I've poured through from google and these forums to see if I can find something that could help but so far nothing.

  Any help gratefully received.

  You have the screen image out to another monitor (one that is not plugged in fact). How you pass to the internal laptop display varies, but most cell phone companies make a combination of keys, such as Fn + F6 or something.  Looking for a symbol that looks like a monitor.  It is usually color coded and requires activation of a Fn key.

  Press the keys Ctrl and Alt at the same time then the arrow key press upwards (or downwards).

  Or fix this way

  • Right-click on an empty distinguished on desktop
  • Select Customize
  • Select display
  • Select change display settings
  • Do not use returned to the Orientation box.
  • Click OK/apply

  Usually, the fan starts to turn if a temperature level has been reached.
  The temperature inside the laptop depends on the use of the laptop

When I plugged my phone the Sony Bridge for Mac asked me if I'd like to update so I clicked Yes and it started to be updated with my phone connected.   It sounds more like you had an update to the system firmware and you can have disconnected your phone that this process was going on - anything you can do I'm afraid to say is a repair of the system, but this will erase all data on your phone

  Thank you for joining the communities Support from Apple! Looks like you're having a problem getting the phone to automatic locking. I know that I want my iPhone did not stay when over and have the screen lock correctly. You can, of course, that your Auto-Lock is set up correctly. Your range of choice of automatic locking from 30 seconds to 5 minutes before locking the screen, or you can choose never so that it does not lock. To change the settings, tap the settings icon, click the general button. Tap the AutoLock option and choose your preference.

  If these steps do not work, and you still do not see the iPhone Autolock when you're in charge, you can go to settings > general > reset and then press reset all settings. This removes all the data. For example, if you have 16GB of music, videos and photos, this option will not remove. What this does is actually reset some of your settings to factory default. It is not a complete withdrawal of the parameters. It deletes all of your preferences for Wi - Fi, Bluetooth, do not disturb, Notifications, general, sounds, brightness & wallpaper and privacy.

  Once that is done, go ahead and try to set the automatic lock again and see if it works.
