I have Windows 7 X 64 and have been very happy with the visualization of photos in the built in photo editor, and then say edit to get a simple set of tools to remove red eye, etc.. Quick and easy. I then installed windows live essentials, and this option has disappeared to be replaced by windows live photo gallery. I hate this product with a passion. I uninstalled it with each other than msn [no] live essential package. What I now want to go back to the simple editor in Windows 7, I had before, I was stupid enough to go for Basic. Help.

  • Album 'My Photo Stream' disappeared from 10.11.5

Recently, I upgraded my MacBook Pro to 10.11.5. After that, the album of my photo stream in Photos Apple disappeared. It used to be listed as one of the albums in the sidebar; It has now disappeared.

The album My Photo Stream still exists on my iPhone.  Today, I took a few photos on the iPhone, and they have been synchronized on the MacBook (they appeared in Photos in Apple's photo gallery). This indicates that this photo stream working its magic between the iPhone and the MacBook and the iCloud.

Of course, I have My Photo Stream enabled in Photos.  I don't have any iCloud that library enabled.

What happened to my photo stream on the MacBook? And how do I get it back?

What are your iCloud on each device settings? It seems that you are using iCloud library rather than MyPhotoStream

    Hi desperateme

Your recent photo (in the last 30 days) should be in the photo stream assuming that you use.

Otherwise you can just clean up the phone (settings > General > reset > erase all & content settings) and restore the phone again to a more recent backup.

  • I've recently upgraded to El Capitan of Lion.  My iPhoto library is also transformed into Photos.  In iPhoto, I used Photoshop as my editor in Chief of "standard / default.  I can't do that to work with Photos, all I can't get is the photo editor.

I've recently updated to Lion at El Capitan and my library of more than 40 000 iPhoto was also improved (?) photo.  He ran all night.  I used Photoshop as my editor of "standard/default" in iPhoto, but now I can't seem to appear in the photo is the photo editor, which is not enough for my purposes.  I have found a workaround that requires images to export], edited and then re-imported to the Photos, but I lose all the original images.  Can I have Photoshop become my default editor for Photos, as if it was in iPhoto?

3rd party editing application must be updated to work with the new structure of the El Capitan and Photos before they will be able to work seamlessly with Photos.

In the meantime we must export the original file in the office using the menu option file ➙ export Original unmodified for 1 Photo and edit the file there.

  • My Photos have disappeared. How to recover?

My Photos have disappeared. How to recover?

There are several options for data recovery if you remember the name of the file associated with the file in question and do not forget, if your Spotlight index does not work right, using any tools at the bottom of this tip can help you find these files:

    http://discussions.Apple.com/docs/doc-1689

The Photos and iPhoto use XML files to manage their library.   Once you discover an XML library, usually you can use the command option key while you open iPhoto or Photos to redirect where is the Photo library file, so the application opens again the library from the file.

Note, it is unlikely an older version of iPhoto or Photos will be able to open a library was updated to a newer version.

  • Vista v's Microsoft Photo editor

I just installed Windows Vista on my computer and want to put my program on which is Microsoft Photo Editor of photo editing. While he seems to have loaded ok, some functions do not work as they did on XP, such as opening certain files, smaller images being generated.

    Hi stephenforster

Thanks for posting in the Microsoft Community.

I understand that you are facing the issue with Microsoft Photo editor that some functions do not work.

    Method 1:

I suggest you perform the clean boot and check.

Place the computer in a clean boot state, then check if it helps. You can start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

How to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" State

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310353

Note: After completing the steps in the clean boot troubleshooting, follow the section How to configure Windows to use a Normal startup state of the link to return the computer to a Normal startupmode.

After the clean boot used to resolve the problem, you can follow these steps to configure Windows XP to start normally.

    (a) click Start, run.

    (b) type msconfigand click OK.

    (c) the System Configuration Utility dialog box appears.

    (d) click the general tab, click Normal startup - load all services and device drivers and then click OK.

    (e) when you are prompted, click restart to restart the computer.
