Photo964 but no all-in-One Center

After installing the software, get the updated drivers and try your tip on ABBYY (in OCR).  I don't always have the Dell all-in-one Center.  I can scan, but it made it difficult to have to go to control panel, then click on the printer that shoots to the top of the printer and I can scan from there with very limited options.  I have a desktop running windows HP2311x 7

How to install Dell v515W on a Mac

I tried this on my purchased v515W recently, but I guess that it also works with the v515 and other Dell all-in-one printers. I recently bought the v515W for my wife who is a user of Mac, only to find out that Dell has no Mac drivers for it. Somewhere on the Dell site, they have a typo at some point that the Mac drivers are available for the printer. I used my Windows machine to install the printer. After much trial and error, I finally managed to get the printer to work from a Mac wireless.

    1. Configure the printer from a Windows machine
    2. Open System Preferences-> Print & Fax
    3. Click the + to add a printer
    4. Hello will now detect the v515W by the name of the printer
    5. Mac will complain that he could not find the printer driver
    6. Manually select the print driver for 'Lexmark S300 S400 Series' in the search box where you can select the printer

That's all it took to set up. Hope this helps,

    See you soon,.

Thanks for your advice, which helped me to solve the problem of A960 Win 7 (64-bit).

But in my case the following worked, and it's a little easier:

    1. If you have connected your A960 slot USB windows 7 hoping would provide the right driver via windows update: just remove the printer in Control Panel > printer > rightclick the printer > delete device.

    2. no need to use the dell clean utility. No need to uninstall under "Uninstall" since it shows that if the wrong driver was installed by windows automatically (but if you installed a wrong driver manually, you can have).

    3. download the Vista 64-bit Driver R153052.exe (or 32 bit, if applicable), links see PudgyOne post November 28, 2009 22:32.

    4. install the driver: by clicking on the first R153052.exe extract the files in e. g. C:\dell\drivers\R153052. Then right click the setup.exe in this file and change compatibility for Windows Vista Service Pack 2.

That worked perfectly in my case...

I also could not print or scan and got the next window, staring pop around Nov 18/09 that I attributed to perhaps a few updates of Windows or Kasperksy Interenet 2010 updates:

When I did restore to the 16 Nov/08 everything worked fine, but it seems that the updates have been installed I found myself with the same problem. I then tried to work backwards and uninstalled KIS which resulted in the printer and the scanner works until I close the computer or rebooted and got the same message at startup. I then disabled windows defender and windows firewall with the result of printing and scanning to work until I rebooted. To make sure that was my protection, I downloaded AVG and Malwarebytes and activated Windows Defender and firewall. I was also receiving other messages pop up throughout this process as follows including "Data Execution Prevention:

I finally found a update for Dell driver and when I downloaded the patch (Dell CleanUpUtility) and driver (R145903) I was always the messages above and only realized after the 4th time when the window popped up asking if I had a drive, would be to insert it, which meant I was only to reinstall the older driver. When you get this window just close it so that you only install the new downloaded driver. It turns out that both the printer and the driver are busy and I did not insert the disc to install the ABBYY Finereader 6.0 Sprint as it appears that he had never uninstalled. I did notice that the AIO desktop computer was different than the old for a while but eventually the old icon. Note that the CleanUpUtility Dell will also uninstall Dell Dock, however, that can be reinstalled from the following site: http://www.delldock.com/

I have provided my entry earlier, but I when I got the printer and scanner I wanted to see if she was stable and functional at least a couple of days of work. I should also mention that I've turned off automatic Windows updates because I think that's what caused the problems of printer/scanner at first and decide what updates I will download and install that I received notice as well. I have not yet reinstalled KIS 2010 but I can do this after a few days just to see if I can still print and scan, that is, to see if there are problems in addition to KIS that creates the problem. So... try do the patch and the driver install according to the instructions of PudgyOne above, but do not forget, do not insert your AIO 810, CANCEL THE WINDOW WHEN SHE SURGIT driver diskette. Let me know if it works... If not... keep in touch. I would like to let you know that I've probably spent nearly 60 hours trying to get mine to work as I believe that there is always a way. I also did a number of other things, but I won't get into that right now, until you download the Patch and install the driver because I don't know if at any point you used your AIO 810 drive.

Reformatting the hard drive and reinstall windows 7 has done the trick. This really delete all the driver files! With a clean machine, I was able to install the printer without problem in Vista SP2 compatibility mode. Not only so, but the other two Windows 7 PCs on my network domestic also saw the printer and installed it.

It seems that the uninstall utility doesn't work unless you install the drivers correctly. If, as many of us have done, the drivers are installed without using the compatibility mode there are some files that get somewhere the uninstall program cannot reach. I just checked the section of drivers from the support page and can find no reference to installation in compatibility mode, the Council States that it is compatible and install the Vista driver. Always if Dell puts in place all the information, it should would probably be no need for forums like this.

Just a pity that it took a format and reinstallation of the entire system to operate. Live and learn

Having a problem with this pesky error filter for the Print Pipeline with the AIO 968 under Vista 32 bit (and maybe 64-bit as well)?

No problem, the solution is easier than you think.

But first of all a little info on the problem itself.  Apparently and I can't confirm it really, as I'm not a computer geek, but I can guess, that for some reason any Vista does not load the pilot PnP for this printer correctly.  And when you first set up your printer and you pass through the printer from taking any and all this is, that the Vista fails to load (activate) the appropriate printer driver.  And then when you install the printer software, iincluding the 'all-in-One Center' that it loads the driver XPS instead.  HRT XPS driver is not a suitable printer driver.  It is a driver of improved any.  I'm not really sure of what it is.

But in any case, the solution is simple.  Probably take no more than a minute, once you get off the process.  And it is simply "add a printer".

    Follow these simple steps:

    (1) go to the Control Panel.

    (2) select the printer under hardware and sound.

    (3) select Add a printer.

    (4)  select Add a local printer, and then click Next.

    Next step is very important.

    (5) select the port USB001 (virtual printer Port). Click Next.

    (6) scroll manufacturers here on the left, then select Dell

    (7) on the right, select the driver Dell 968 AIO printer ..  Click Next.

    (8) a licence agreement should appear.  Accept it.

    (9) the computer will then install this driver with a fast progress bar.  Shouldn't take but a few seconds.

    (10) once done, just make sure to set it as the default printer, and then click Finish.

Your printer 968 must now act as it should as a fully functional printer.  In fact, when printing or scanning, you will now see a progress bar pop-up at the bottom box to the right of your screen.  But I will add this, when you load the all-in-One Center and choose to not remove the XPS driver, you will be asked which printer to use, as you have it now two printers (drivers) installed on this port.

And so I leave you with this... PRINT HAPPY!

  • All-in-one Officejet 5610: lost all ability to scan after operating system upgrade

    Hello

    First post.

Tried to implement everything. Need for new perspective or someone just told me that the printer/scanner is not taken in charge any longer.

Recently updated to OS 10.8.5 as well as extra memory.

Have scanner only for the work of the company.

The scanner just stopped working after update of HP software. I don't remember version. Nevertheless, today I removed all HD and started around, but nothing works.

Start over means, I downloaded a new driver and the patch.

Using a HP scanning Application. Now that the application does not appear even on the computer.

Let's start with some basic questions and then go from there:

Neither HP or HP scanning Application utility are now on the hard disk after you follow the instructions from HP to delete.

What I need the original disks and to reinstall the software from it or can those be online?

    Thank you.

    Mike

    Follow-up.

Tried this approach (see link), but the all-in-one Officejet 5610 is not listed. I suspect the printer/scanner in is no longer supported?

    THX!

    Second follow-up:

I understand how to use of Apple's Image Capture application as a workaround. Not as friendly as HP Scan.

Unless someone can tell me the HP and HP Scan utility always work in OS 10.8.5 for the 5100, I guess that will be sufficient.

    Thank you.
