Photon counting using the FPGA of the series R. problem generation TTL signals

Greetings,

I try to use the R series FPGA to read and count the pulses TTL of a discriminator (count of photons of the Hamamatsu C9744 unit) connected to a PMT (Hamamatsu-H7422P-40). The release of PMT looks fine (signal.png H7422P-40) but the discriminator wasn't able to generate corresponding TTL 5V pulse. There was some scattered and random spikes, but nothing significant. Instead, the only stable the PMT signal is a single + 5V pulse no matter how, I adjusted the PMT (C9744 output.png) control voltage. The PMT and the discriminator is connected by an ordinary BNC cable 50 ohms.

I am really confused because it was supposed to be a really simple installation. Anyone have a similar question or have similar Instrumentation (but no problem) configuration? Comments/suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Thank you very much in advance!

Hi Kelli,

Thanks for your help. Sorry it took so long to get back to you.

I actually found the question. The discrimination of the Hamamatsu unit level is set too high that all signals got filtered. After adjustment of the threshold of manuallyt, I was able to get the camera TTL pulses. And 7842R worked correctly for count impulses. Everything works fine now. Thanks again for the input.

    Hi all

I am currently working on program couting of photons using a single (Excelitas) and PCI-6602 photon counting module connected to the BNC-2121.

I took a glance at other positions, but I still couldn't solve my problem (or, again, I'm not sure if yes or no, the problem is the specification of the material).

In the program, I'm generates a trigger to 1 MHz pulse using a trigger in a separate loop.

Other than that, I have loops of the producer-consumer model to get data and do a simple subtraction to calculate the number of photons in 1 microsecond.

According to the values connected to 'Input.BufSize' of buffer DAQmx and "Samples per channel" DAQmx calendar, I could change the loop number that the program has done its job correctly.

With the values, the program acquires photon 1 MHz with signls for 139 times.

After that, the program stops and the loopback number increases very quickly.

When I forcifully took stop the program, while the loop number increases very quickly, the program appears "error-200141".»

The error that says "data has been replaced before it can be read by the system." Mechanism of data transfer is interrupted, try to use DMA or USB in bulk. Otherwise, divide the input signal before taking the action. "even if the meter explicitly works in DMA mode by using the sample clock.

I wonder there is nothing that can solve my problem or even the only solution will buy a better Board of counters/timers.

Thank you all for reading this.

I will be very happy with any index

Yes, the same thing happens on my system.

It does not happen with PCIe-6612.

    I found more strange things:

When I start to reduce the frequency at a time given (800kHz) can fill the buffer, it will not start since the beginning of the buffer. He can go to the beginning of the buffer only at 100 kHz for my PC.

    Options to fix:

    (1) PCIe-6612. Seems to work. I tried streaming at 10 MHz, 5 min - fine.

    (2) reduce the frequency of the pulse. If your laser supports 100 kHz, you're fine.

    (3) put in place additional synchronous counter at 100 kHz. Basically, it's material average number of photons by 10 pulses.

    (4) read 2 adjacent pulses each 1/50 kHz - then your data transfer will be 100 kHz and you will get the number of photons of this impulse of the 20 - th.

    Programming issues:

    (1) remove the display of the received picture, make only the processing of data and show results if you really need it.

    (2) clock.vi sample sets the buffer size, if you specify the size of the buffer, do this after this vi.

    (3) I deleted unnecessary "loop generation." He is running on the hardware and stops when you stop it - after reading the loop ends.

    Hello X-x_MaGiC_x-X,

Thank you for visiting the website of Microsoft Windows Vista Community.

System restore points are created automatically when the following occur:

    • When you install a new application or driver.
    • When you uninstall or install some programs.
    • When you install new updates
    • Automatically on a daily interval
    • Manually by creating a.
    • If you choose to use system restore to restore to a previous restore point, System Restore creates a new restore point before you restore a previous state in case something goes wrong. If you are restoring to a previous state in Mode without failure, a restore point will create for the current state.

So that the restoration of the system to work, you must have 300 MB of free space for each hard disk that monitors the system restore. System Restore will also use up to 15% of disk space on each disk that it monitors. That hard disk space runs out, older restore points will be deleted as newer ones. It is also important to note that you must be logged in as an administrator in order to use the system restore. Now that you understand the basics of the system restore, you must continue to the next section to learn how to use it.

Restore Windows Vista to a previous state

In the case of a problem on your computer that cannot be solved by normal means, you can restore your computer to a previous working state. To do this, you need to start restoring the system so that you can choose the restore point to restore. If you currently have Windows Vista boot problems, you can use the system restore in Windows recovery environment. Instructions on how to do it in this tutorial can be found: System Restore using the Windows Vista recovery environment.

If you can connect to Windows Vista, you must follow these steps.

    1. Close and save any documents that you have opened.
    2. Click the Start button to open your Start Menu. The Start button looks like this:
    3. When the Start Menu open click on the menu option all programs.
    4. Click once on the Start Menu Accessories group.
    5. Click once on the System Tools Start Menu group.
    6. Click once on the icon of the system restore. After you click the icon, if a user account control window opens, click on the button continue.

You will now be on the screen as shown below in Figure 1 system restore. From this screen, you can specify the restore point that you want to restore.

    1 screen of system restore

By default, Vista will be already selected the restore recommended option. This restore point is one followed a new pilot program, or update has been installed. If you do not want to use this restore point, you can click on the button next to start the restore process. On the other hand, if there is a more recent restore point that you want to restore you should select choose a different restore point and press the next button. This will bring you to a screen, as shown in Figure 2, which contains a list of all available restore points that you can restore.

    2. the list of available restore points

You must select the restore point that you want to restore, and then press the button next to start the restore process. Vista will display a window showing your selected restore point and asking you to confirm that it is that you want to restore.

    3. confirm the selected restore point

If you want to select a different restore point, press the Back button. Otherwise, you can press the Cancel button to exit the system restore or the button finish to begin the restore process. If you have selected finish, Vista will display a second prompt asking you to confirm that you want to continue restoring.

    4. second Confirmation

If you are sure you want to restore, then press the Yes button. Vista will now log you off the computer and start the system restore process, as shown in Figure 5 below.

    5. restoration of a restore point

When the restore is complete, your computer will be restarted and when Vista starts it backup will be restored to its previous state. When you open a Vista session for the first time after the restore, you will see a message indicating that the restore was successful.

    6. system restore was successful

If there are problems with your computer because the last restoration, you can return to your previous settings to ebb in the system restore utility and select Undo system restore by pressing the next button.

7 undo the last system restore

Your computer should now work correctly again.

With the help of the restoration of the system in the Windows recovery environment

    Manual creation of Restore Points

As mentioned previously, it is also possible to create manual restore depending on points. Some popular designs to create manual restore points are when you have your computer configured perfectly and I would save the State in case of problems in the future. To create a manual restore point, you must follow these steps:

    1. Click the Start button to open your Start Menu. The Start button looks like this:
    2. Click on the control panel menu option.
    3. Click the option menu system and Maintenance.
    4. Click on the system menu option.
    5. Click on the System Protection in the list on the left.

You will now be at the System Protection tab in the system control panel. This tab allows you to enable and disable the system restore as well as making the new manual restore points.

    8. the System Protection tab

To create a manual restore point, you must click on the button create. When you press this button a prompt asking you to give a title to this manual restore point.

    9. Enter the manual restore point title

Type a title for the manual restore point and press the button create. Vista will now create a restore point manually and once finished, post a notice that it was created successfully.

    10. Manual restore point has been created

Now that you have finished doing the manual restore point, you can close the system window.

Try to download the correct and up-to-date drivers.

    This should solve your problem.

Let us know if these steps solve your problem.  I hope the information is useful.

  • Just installed PhotoSmart 6520E printer set up to use the cable Moden router kills any signal

Just bought a Photosmart 6520 to replace my C310 that all black cartridges, which went wrong (short circuit out) or ink jet which is now in thing instead of Cartridgestopped so bad.

After you have installed the appropriate driver and software. The printer wifi kills all router built in cable signals.

Fortunately, I have another older router that I have used with the C310, signal to fall.

This software is causing the issue?

    Mac OSX.9.4 (mavericks)

    6520 V2 Driver

    The latest HP software.

I though that I would answer my own question since no one elese has an idea. Or indifferent to the issue.

Last close after I stop computer to sleep. I went to set up the printer and change the used the old router that is connected to the wan port on the model cable Comcast.

On this morning, everything works perfectly until now.

I guess that the printer works on the same channel the router built into the modem and has been the substitution of any signal from the routrr built into the Modem.

Anyone having this problem if you use Comcast is to buy a separate router attached to the modem for the printer to work and the connection as well.

  • Using the Rotate tool - problems

I'm a newbie, but I know how to do this, at least I thought I did.  In short, I want to draw an ellipse, then use the Rotate tool to copy many of them, until I get a circle of them, using the lower part as the pivot point.  So if I want 36 steps, I put the angle to 10 degrees and copy, then ctrl-d to paste as needed to complete the circle.  The problem is, I can't get the pivot point for adapt to where I want to.  When I initially click on the ellipse first (and only), then my rotation tool, I then passes the pivot toward the bottom of the ellipse.  When I double click on the Rotate tool again to bring up the dialog box, the pivot point goes back to the Center.  Once the dialog box is in place, I can't set the pivot point more.  Furthermore, if I select the ellipse, select the Rotate tool, move the pivot point, then try ALT-click on the new point pivot, the newly copied and pasted ellipse will be elsewhere on the artboard.

What Miss me?  Thanks for any help.

Well I just found out the problem.  It's my Wacom driver.  I took my USB mouse and it worked like a champ, picked up the pen or the Wacom mouse and you never know where it will copy.  Thanks anyway.  At least now I know.

Hey guys. I have this problem where I am editing a clip of marriage the bride and married the first dance and someone shout up and strong throughout the dance! I have been using the Brush tool to remove the voice and did a good job doing that, however when I play the clip to see how much it deleted, I get either a noise grinding, or I still hear the voice, but he is confused or it the effects of other voices in the clip that I don't want. This is a mistake on my behalf or you have to do something else like add an effect to impress the survey?

What you ask, despite all efforts to finesse, will not generate a perfect result. Live events such as weddings, are quite what you hear is what you get and the needs of the customers to understand that before you get into all those hours that will zap your gain at minimum wage.  I'd go to a different, more creative route.  Kill the original audio - record but these precious moments and cut in the music played in the bed.  When one of those moments arrive, dub/mix it.  Don't kill you on that.

I've corrected the template and sent you the pdf output as well. the error was that you had not updated the property formfield with the changes suggested by Charlotte. I've highlighted the formfield in grey content in the model (it will show the output correctly) this way you can easily see what had gone wrong.

  • 2602 AP in stand-alone - using the two bands

We generally use the series 2602 AP in light mode, however I have a scenario where we will install one with the stand-alone software.  I understand that we will not be able to utilze certain features that you get with the WLC as RRM, unreliable detection and clean air.

We want to utilze the 5 GHz and 2.4 GHZ bands.  To do this with the autonomous access point 2602, will we have to set up 2 separate SSID?  I really don't want to do this if I don't have to minimize confusion for customers. Thank you.

This decision is based on the client machines.  The device will choose who it will associate with.  You could always tweaking the settings on the device wireless to a single band favorite on the other.  There isn't any setting on the AP have devices prefer one over the other.  I hope this helps.

    Thank you

  • Error "you do not use the Type of appropriate phone cord.

Having a problem with my fax on my HP Officejet Pro 8500 wireless.  Tried to send a fax, it received a transmission error.  I run fax test and she came back with "you do not use the type of appropriate phone cord.  Nothing has changed since I last fax would be but I check the lines and connections, everything seems ok.  Phone jack is connected to 1 line and Officejet 2 - ext"is connected to the phone.  I use a dedicated phone # and the Officejet is set to auto answer.   I can call and receive calls on the phone to connect to the Officejet.  My hypothesis is that because I can use the phone without problem there nothing wrong with the phone line.  Any ideas?

I had the same problem.  I am using a phone cord 2-wire supplied with the printer and still get this error.  It turns out that it is bound to have a telephone connected to the printer.  If I unplug the telephone shape of the intake extension on the back of the printer, then the fax test passes.   I used even a cord 2-wire on the telephone, but it seems that the mere fact of having a phone plugged into the outlet of expansion will cause this error.

Run the test without a phone plugged into the outlet of extension of the printer and you should be fine.

    Worked for me!
