Photos of El Capitan only sort by date added, no date of the photo.  Can I change this?

I use Photos (not iPhoto) and find it very annoying that the fate apparently immutable are default by date added.  I use multiple cameras and it does everything just for me.

and find it very annoying that the apparently immutable fate are default by date added.

Only the album 'Pictures' is sorted by date added. The goal is to help you find your most recent matter quickly.

View Photos of the library (Moments, Collections, years) is sorted by the date of capture.

Any other album is sorted by the date of capture.

You can create your own album 'All the Photos' as a smart album and ascending or descending sorting, for example like this:

  • thumbnails in the image folder not seen photos, just a generic image. Can I change this? __

When I look at my nails of the thumb of the photos files do not preview the images, just a generic image. Can I change this? It is difficult to fix / search for photos, etc. Its probably something very simple, I'm not sure. Just had my hard drive replaced, and they have installed a version of vista for dell instead of sony. This could be a problem?

Go to start / Control Panel / folder Options / View / and find the box always "show icons, never thumbnails" and uncheck the box.  You may need to restart (not sure).  This will then display thumbnails for your pictures instead of the generic icon.  It is possible, that it's the default value set by the installation disc that they used when your drive has been replaced.

    I hope this helps.

  • My color, setting for LR and PS is ProPhoto RGB. If I want to export my photos and place them on OneDrive or watch on TV of the photo, can I change the color setting in sRGB?

My color, setting for LR and PS is ProPhoto RGB. If I want to export my photos and place them on OneDrive or watch on TV of the photo, can I change the color setting in sRGB?

In general, I would recommend sRGB, if images must be consulted on the screens of TV or PC monitors. sRGB is usually the universal profile for sharing photos on the web. If you want to share your images on a single disc, most of the people will see their best, without changes in color, with an sRGB profile.

So it really depends on your goal. You use a player for sharing and viewing on backup and storage devices.

  • Photos sort by date in the Sierra

I'm working on a shared Album. I have my own pictures and photos posted by someone else in the shared Album. I imported the photos of the other person, so I can change them.

I want to sort pictures by time and date taken. The only 'option' is 'keep sorted by oldest Date added '. Option is in quotes because it is grayed out and there are no other options.

    MacBook Pro. Sierra.

    Thanks for your suggestions.

There is no other options with shared albums - they are only sorted by the date, the photos are added to the album

  • Set the following fields in 'read only' to take data from the first occurrence?

Hoping that this can be easily done without the need for scripting.

I'm working on creating a form of proposal. There are a few areas where I would like the first instance of an editable field, but the rest would be locked so that they are even taken out of the tab order.

Example: On the first page, I have a field for the name of the company. This field is reproduced in the pages of the proposal. Each field has the same name. So all data have concluded one of them are dealt to each of them.

Ideal solution: Front page field is editable, and is where data is entered. "All the following fields are defined as 'read only' and take their 'master' field data" so someone can't make a change to this form, for example, the third page and have this error repeated throughout the document.

    Is this possible?

I use Acrobat Pro DC on Windows 7 pro.

    Thank you.

You use a script to do it, but it's very simple.

If the 'master' field is called "Text1", then enter this code in the calculation script customized for all other areas that need to have its value:

    Event.Value = this.getField("Text1").value;

  • Recently installed last software update. He changed his screen background Photo from black to white. How can I change this back

ElCapitan update macOS/Sierra tonight.  Photo open.  Wallpaper (behind photos) used to be black, now it is white.  How can I get this back to black?

I believe the Photos app exactly the same under MacOS Sierra there as it did under OS X El Capitan on the background color.

The background color is (and was) white when usually browsing photos.  But when you edit a picture, the background color turns black.

To edit in the Photos under MacOS Sierra app, press the circle button.  (This button is used to say "Change" under OS X El Capitan).  You will then see the black background.

  • Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT photos are stored at 72 dpi and not 180 dpi. Can I change this?

When I download my photos taken with my Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT to my computer, I see they are listed as 72 dpi, but when I download pictures from my small pocket cameras Canon (like my Powershot S410 or ELP 300) they are listed as 180 dpi.  It is a function of the cameras, or is it a setting I can change on the rebels to store the photos at 180 dpi?

My second question is: it won't hurt the quality of the photo printed so I manually "resize" the dpi to 180 in a photo program before printing.   The vast majority of my photos are just stereotypes that I print 4 "x 6", but sometimes I get a good picture I like to enlarge. "

As you can see, I know very little about digital photography.  In the past, I have not even noticed that pictures of rebels were at 72 dpi and the others were to 180.

All the information that will inform me on this subject will be greatly appreciated.  Thank you.    Mac

If you say that the printer to print a 4 x 6 proof it will not (in general) paid no attention to indications of DPI image.  All shots of my XSi are 72 dpi so I printed several pictures on a dozen different places throughout the city and the DPI setting in the image file is ignored in favor of the resolution of the printer and the size of the image.  In other words, if the printer only 300 DPI then my impression out to 300 DPI.  I've never seen a case where the printer used the DPI setting in the file.  I can't guarantee that it will not happen on some printers, somewhere.

But most people don't print that many images in that a lot of places so I suspect that if you are printing a single image at any place printing 'new' you can determine if it's going to go wrong or you can take the time to set the DPI setting on the image with your image editing software.  I'm not sure of what you use to edit your images, however, two following software packages allow you to adjust the DPI or print resolution:

IrfanView allows to change this setting: http://www.irfanview.com/

GIMP also allows you to modify: http://www.gimp.org/

  • I have a new iMac and I want to make a backup of my iPhone, I lost my dates of the will? because in this computer I have no backup I made before

    Hello

I bought an air iMac, and now I would like to make a backup of my iPhone on this computer.

but the question is, if I do not have the backup that I did before, it is possible that I lost my dates?

because the computer I had entered is not an iMac.

    Thank you

    Francesca

    Hello Francesca Montani,.

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support.

Congratulations on your new iMac! I understand from your message that you want to create a backfile to your iPhone 5 c, but are afraid of losing the data on it. I know how it is important for you to keep your data on your iPhone 5 c and to create a backup file for it.

When you plug your iPhone 5 c in your new iMac, iTunes should open. Your iPhone 5 c should also receive a message asking if you trust the computer. Go ahead and trust of the computer.

iTunes should display a page that says: Welcome to iTunes and you give 2 options. You want to choose the option to play up like new. Don't worry, it will not erase anything from your iPhone. The next page, you should see if the page summary of the iPhone. You should see a picture of an iPhone and a description.

In the middle of the right side, you should see a section called manually backup and restore. To create a backup file, select Back Up Now. This article has steps and a picture to help you create an iTunes up. I have also highlighted the steps below:

The backup of your iPhone, iPad and iPod touch

    iTunes

    1. Open iTunes and connect your device to your computer.
    2. If a message asks you to Trust This Computer or device password, follow the steps on the screen. If you have forgotten your password, get help.
    3. Select your iPad, iPhone or iPod when it appears in iTunes. If your device does not appear in iTunes, know what to do.
    4. If you want to save data of health and activity of your device iOS or Apple Watch, you must encrypt your backup: check the box called Encrypt [device] backup and create a memorable password.
Write down your password and store it somewhere safe, because there is no way to recover your backups iTunes without this password.
If you do not need to save your health data and activity, you can make a backup that is not encrypted. Just click Back Up Now.
    5. After the end of the process, you can see if your backup completed successfully in the iTunes preferences > devices. You should see the name of your device with the date and time that iTunes created the backup. If you encrypted your backup, you should also see next to the name of your device.

    Best regards

  • my computer is READING ONLY MODEhow can I change this?

Read only mode does not check disk (chkdsk) to operate effectively. Every time at startup, the computer is
asking to scan drive for consistency, but then he says "DISC CHECK CANCELLED"
What procedure should I do to change that one mode of reading?

Frankly, if you have too much talk about event viewer errors - and you do not have a Windows install CD - you probably will be better served by taking your computer to a local professional reputable (not a type BigBoxStoreUSA or rather geeksquad).

However, you can see if these steps help you:

    • If you have a Spyware Doctor installed, uninstall it.
    • If you have ZoneAlarm installed, open it, click on the "Présentation" tab, then select 'Préférences' and uncheck 'Protect ZA customer'.

Click Start, then run, type cmd in the Open box, and then click on 'Ok '. At the prompt in the command window, type the following commands, pressing "Enter" after each of them: (Please note the spaces in the following commands.)

    • chkntfs/d: ... (This will reset autocheck default options)
    • chkntfs /c C: ... (This allows you to check drive C :)
    • fsutil dirty query c: ... (This queries the drive and will probably tell you that it is dirty)
    • chkntfs /x c: ... (The switch x tells Windows to NOT check the drive specified at the next startup)

At this point, restart your computer, it won't do a chkdsk and will start directly to Windows.

This step is important because it is where the dirty Bit will be disabled.
Click Start, then run, type cmd in the Open box, and then click on 'Ok '. At the command prompt, type the following, and then press "Enter" after each of them: (still once, note the spaces).

    • chkdsk /f /r c: ... (To run manually complete a chkdsk operation)
    • Y ..... (To accept him running at the next startup)

This should take you through 5 stages of analysis and will unset that dirty little. Be patient... it is a very thorough control and will take some time... it may even appear again during the last two steps... 60 to 90 minutes would be unreasonable for it in some cases.

Finally, when the chkdsk operation is complete, type fsutil dirty query c:, press 'Enter' and Windows will confirm that the dirty Bit is not set on this drive.

Now, restart again and see if chkdsk always runs at startup.

If chkdsk still runs when you restart, you will have to create a bootable CD with the Windows Recovery Console and run chkdsk from there:

Follow the directions here: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic270018.html (scroll down to ""How to create an XP Bootable CD Console collection "")

Once you start the Recovery Console, type

    CHKDSK c: /r

    and press enter
