  Go to preferences > Performance tab and uncheck the option "use graphics processor. Adobe is aware of this problem and are studying, but in the meantime to uncheck this option should your unit develop problems.

  I recently imported photos from my iphone to my Mac using photos for OSX app. But after graduating successfully imported it shows me two different elements i.e. photo itself & a short video. So for my 300 live photos it's show me 300 photos and 300 videos.

  So why it shows two different files, I suppose, that it should show only direct photo because it shows on my iPhone.

  I also tried to repair the library command to open the photos app, but it did not work. Help, please!

  If you really have OS X 10.10.1 and Photos 1.0 as you say then that's the problem - you are updated to eleven or twelve behind and these updates included support Live Photo - you must upgrade to El Captain OS X 10.11.6 and Photos 1.5

  I have a Nikon AW130 with active GPS. While previously using iPhotos he always imported the exact location when you import photos. I'm using pictures and nothing appears under location. We are on a cruise on our sailboat and spend 10 months foreign traveling or diving in remote locations, geotagging is important. And I'm not geotag pictures of thousands that we take in a season of navigation manually. The Internet is also either not always available or slow and costly iCloud is not always possible. So what is the solution? Thank you.

  Photos will show the locations only, if the computer is connected to the internet after importing the photos. He needs a database of Apple connection to retrieve the names of places.  Pictures don't show latitude and longitude but a place name. If you have an internet connection, you should see a name of places and a small map in the Info Panel for photos.

  Names of places in photos are not a great help in navigation.  Most of my photos of sailing is simply display "North Atlantic" or "Sea of Caribbean", such as the location, but the locations of the pins on the map are correct.  And if you export photos Tags the GPS will be integrated. Just, make sure that you enable empbed location information in the Photos of preferences > General.

  You can check if the GPS has been applied by the camera, if you export Photos photos, open in preview. The Info Panel in preview (Tools > Inspector) will tell you the GPS coordinates.

  I shows that I have more than 17 GB of photos on my iPhone.  Why do I have so much storage taken up so I use iCloud photo library and I also have optimize enabled on my iPhone?

  Dynamic optimization, it reduces the resolution of your photos, if necessary, so that you don't notice it occurring initially. However, when necessary, it is very effective, and users have reported libraries being optimized for much less than 10% of their original size in some cases. My own library is about 9% of its original on my phone size.

• I can't stop slide show of Photos showing the file name at the beginning?

  I made a slideshow for a crowdfunding charity event, but the Organizer is hampered by the fact that the file name displayed in large characters, hiding part of the actual text, when the slideshow begins to play. I can't find anything in the controls or insufficient preferences to stop what is happening, someone at - it ideas? I admit it is a bit ridiculous.

  Using Photos or iPhoto to run your slide show?  Only the project title appears automatically on the first slide and does not display the names of files.  The user needs to add additional text/filename to each slide with Photosl

  Leave the pictures (or iPhoto) and restart with the command and option/alt keys. Repair of the library.

  I have 5 children. When iTunes opens, the album covers frequently see pictures naked or scantily. How to block or prevent any photo that does not have a rating of 'G' to appear?

  You can stop only explicit and rated Movies/TV shows in preview and downloaded/played (via the tab Restrictions in Edit > preferences), you can't stop them showing.

  In my app Photos a year, it will also show the summary of the situation (like my photo in 2014)

  But in my photos from 2015, it shows nothing about location (see image2). But when I Zoom, I see all location information (see photo 3)

  The years will not display places, if the list of places for this year has more than 6 countries.  Have you traveled a lot in 2015?  Or took pictures on a long-distance flight, if you have more pictures of six countries (or oceans) in the photo library?

  If you hide the photos of some countries, to the list of countries more short, locations must show apart from the year.

• The photos show that different sizes during a trial 'mode in form of slide show'

  Scanning and copying of many ancient prints and negatives.  When I try to view them using Windows 'view as slideshow' some show in full screen and others of different forms and sizes.  Do I need to use a specific size and a pixel during the recording of these pictures to show images full-screen?

  Yes, you should use a similar or identical to your screen resolution, size so if you have a resolution of 1024 x 768 so your photos need to be scanned in / saved to / resized to this size, but a small 3 x 2 "photo scanned and enlarged so that size would look quite pixelated and is often optimized as a small peak with black borders.

  Try both and see which you prefer.

• Screensaver - Photos - show filenames

  Screensaver Windows 7 shows a lot more of my photos from different folders and is better than XP.  But how can I see file name or paths of the photos while the screen saver is running.

  Unfortunately, Windows 7 doesn't have this option.

  I downloaded my pictures on Picasso and I do not see them in my images.  Which never happened before.  Check drive C and they aren't there.  I have a laptop Windows 8.  Normally, if I would send an email a attach a photo it would open to the folder my pictures and I do not see here.  I'd appreciate any help you can give me.

  Inside Picaso, try this:

  • Click on a picture and choose "locate on disk.

  Inside the Gallery of photos, try this:

  • Right-click on a photo and choose "open file location".

  Or the other choice will open Windows Explorer showing the exact location on your computer.
