Photos start automatically when you log on (login)

Whenever I'm connect in a new photo session starts up, using a lot of resources and significantly slow down the logon process. How can I disable that?

There are two possibilities that I think.   First of all, you let pictures running when you stop?   When you start, Mac OS will automatically re - try open any application you had open at the stop.

Second, you have an iPhone or an iPad connected to your Mac via USB when you restart your Mac?   In the Photos, there is an option to open the pictures when your iDevice is connected to your Mac.   Select the device in the sidebar on the left and to the top of the window, there should be a check box with the text "Open pictures for this device".   Unchecking this box will stop Photos to open with the attached iDevice.

  • CS5 - Action starts automatically when you open the program

I have CS5 and it was working properly until recently, now when you open the program first, it starts automatically perform an action, then I have to stop the action and continue with what I was doing.  Does anyone have an idea how to stop this action without deleting?  Thank you.

I guess you've planned somehow a script to run at startup. I have no more CS5, but in more recent versions of Photoshop, you can find Scripts under file and would go to the Scripts event Manager dialog box. You can see that I set this up to run the sticker to the startup action. To stop running just uncheck the events allow to run box. It's probably a little bit different in CS5, but you can probably get by on your own now.

I tried msconfig but can't find it. It is very annoying as Margot does not use it and need to close whenever it connects. I tried everything to stop it in the help files.

  • Customize which programs to start automatically when I boot

A number of programs to start automatically when I start up the computer how to customize this list of programs spacificaly removing one or two that I didn't need.

Go tohttp://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb963902.aspx and run Autoruns and click all.  Search for anything you don't need (and which will probably be the biggest part of it) including those already, you know you don't want and when you the unxheck the box to prevent them from start to start.  Check the entire list as there may be several entries.  When you're done, click OK and restart.  Now, only programs that you kept checked will begin at startup.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • How can I avoid that Ginger Proofread starts automatically when the computer is turned on?

I bought this program and you want to use it whenever I need to replay. But it always starts automatically when the computer is turned on, and because I sign, it restarts every 10 minutes after I killed him, asking me to connect.

I can't find it in the start menu. Interface of the program itself does not give me an option to change the setting to start on demand. I wrote for the developer, no answer. I don't want to uninstall it. So, I wonder where I can go and change the setting?

Use the new Document profiles in HD > Users > (yourname) (Mac) > library > Application Support > Adobe > Adobe Illustrator CS3 > new Document profiles. For CS4 add en_US before new Document profiles. Open the one you use the most. Open libraries that you want to appear and each Panel dialog box persist. Save the file and restart HAVE. Choose file > new and the new document should have these libraries available.

  • My Windows Photo Gallery has incorrect time for good that my computer is correct. I know how to change the time, but wanted the exact time is displayed automatically when you scan photos etc as before.

Time is incorrect in Windows Photo Gallery and I would like to do this automatically scanned early for photos instead of my change time.

    Hi Sardai,

Unfortunately, this information is not always accurate. If you took some of your pictures in a different time zone, for example, the time recorded for these pictures could be incorrect by several hours. The camera can also be set to the wrong date and time. Or, if you're scanning photos, ta date will reflect the date that they have been digitized, not the date on which they were taken. All these anomalies can be adjusted manually.

To change the date or time

    1. open Windows Photo Gallery by clicking on the Start button, all programs, and then clicking Windows Photo Gallery.

    2. If you do not see the details on the side of the window pane, click information on the toolbar to display it.

    3. click on the image you want to change.

    1. to select more than one picture, hold down the CTRL and click each picture you want to change.

    4. click on the date at the top of the details pane.

    5. click on the arrow next to the date and then click the correct date on the calendar.

    6. click on the time at the top of the details pane.

    7. Select the correct time.

To adjust the time for pictures taken in a different time zone

    1. open Windows Photo Gallery by clicking on the Start button, all programs, and then clicking Windows Photo Gallery.

    2. right click on the image you want to change and then click on change time taken.

To select more than one picture, hold down the CTRL and click each picture you want to change, and then click a picture when you are done.

    3. in the change to box, type the number of hours to change, or click the up or down arrow to select the number of hours. To make the new start time, type a minus sign (-) before the number.
