Photoshop CS5.1 crashes when you try to open manage sizes personalised in the print window. Help?

I have OS 10.10.2.  When printing and attempting to access the 'manage custom sizes' in the print window, my Photoshop CS5.1 breaks down.  I had no problems so far.  Don't know what has changed. Can someone help me understand this?

Update says it all. 12.0.4 was supposed to have fixed a lot of bugs. I usually consider that all the world is fully updated, but now I have to make sure.

    CS6 is unsupported under El Capitan. A lot of problems with this combination and CS6 having reached the end of LIFE, you can restore your previous operating system, upgrade to creative cloud or learn to live with it.

  • Illustrator crashes when you try to open the preferences window

    I have CS5 on windows 7. When I try to open the illustrator of window preferably hangs and does not open it. I can hit escape and it will go back to work very well. I tried to leave thinking maybe it was a strange problem loading, but nothing changes. Other that that everything works perfectly well just refuses to open the preference window. I tried searching but I can't find anyone else with this issue, I hope I do not have to reinstall but it's starting to look like, maybe it's my only option.

    crutchlets,

    You should consider at least two approaches.

    We need to dramatically increase the resolution of the monitor to see if he's hiding somewhere there, in which case you can drag to the area with other things, then cut again and clean up the mess.

    (Another is to try the relevant measures in the following list (1-4) and 6) as the last resort).

    The following is a general list of things you can try when the question is not in a specific file (you tried/made some of them already). 1 and 2) are easier for temporary strangenesses and 3) and 4) specifically preferences might be corrupt); ((5) is a list in itself and 6) is the last resort.

    (1) close Illy and open again.

    (2) restart the computer (you can do that up to 3 times);

    (3) close Illy and press Ctrl + Alt + Shift / Cmd + Option + shift during startup (easy, but irreversible);

    4) move the folder (follow the link with this name) with closed Illy (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible);

    5 look through and try the relevant among the other options (click on the link with that name, item 7) is a list of the usual suspects among other applications which can disturb and confuse Illy, point 15) applies to the maybe CS5, CS6 and CC);

    Even worse, you can:

    (6) uninstall, run the vacuum cleaner tool (if you have CS3/CS4/CS5/CS6/CC), and then reinstall.

    It is probably related to the printer, you have currently set as default. Read the tech document I linked below.

  • Firefox 36.0.1 on a Mac running Yosemite 10.10.2 crashes when you try to open the Add-ons Manager

    I am running Firefox 36.0.1 on an iMac with Yosemite 10.10.2. Firefox works fine except that it freezes and I have to force quit the application whenever I try to choose modules in the Tools menu. I've never had this problem before. This problem happened for three consecutive days with my iMac rebooted several times. The same problem occurs when you try to access the modules from the open menu icon. Does anyone have a solution? Thank you!

    If you put this in the url bar: subject: addons
    This also happens? If this isn't the case, add the back icon and remove it to reset.

I had a problem with the GPU drivers telliing me to udate even if I had more recent drives for my laptop. I work on a lenovo with windows 10. Adobe support can't understand why it keeps crashing. Illustrator usually needs a printer. If none is there, install a PDF printer.

    Hi DragLee,

    Windows Media Player is the default or integrated drive in Windows Vista. It can't be uninstalled or reinstalled. However, if a system file is missing or damaged, we can run sfc (System File Checker) scan to find and fix system files corrupted.

    Try these steps and check the result.
    Step 1: Scan of the sfc
    1. open an elevated command prompt. To do this, click Start, click programs, accessories principally made, right-click Guest, and then click Run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on allow.
    2. type the following command and press ENTER: sfc/scannow
    3 restart the computer once the analysis is complete.
    4. check if the problem persists.

    For more information, see http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929833

    Step 2: If the problem persists, perform the system restore to a date where the media player was working fine
    1. Click Start, type system restore in the search box, and then click System Restore in the list programs.
    If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click on continue.
    2. in the System Restore dialog box, click on choose a different restore point and then click Next.
    3. in the list of restore points, click a restore point created before you started having the problem, and then click Next.
    4. click on finish.

    I hope this helps.

    Kind regards

  • 2015.5 CC Photoshop crashes when you try to open (Mac)

    I have used Photoshop with creative cloud for over 6 months now and I never had problems until recently, after the last update Photoshop. Now, whenever I try to open Photoshop, just open the app or try to open a file, the application just hangs and never opens, open dialog is blocked in "Adding extensions... supported multiprocessor"

    I tried to uninstall and reinstall at least 4 times, just after a clean install (I delete all my program preferences otherwise it doesn't) I can use it for a few hours the same day, but the next day, that the problem is there once again. It's very frustrating, but it seems not only to be a problem of the PS, as Illustrator and Acrobat which I use also work very well.

    My computer specs are:

    MacBookPro 13 inch, mid-2010

    Mac OS X 10.11.6

    Processor: Intel Core Duo 2.4 GHz

    8 GB RAM

    Nvidia 256 MB graphics card

    1 TB HARD DRIVE

    Any help on how to solve this problem will be greatly appreciated

    Hi carminablanco,

    Please update the graphics driver on the manufacturing site, you also need minimum of 512 VRAM for graphics processor to do certain things in Photoshop.

  • Microsoft Office Word 2007 crashes when you try to open it

  • Recently updated Firefox 3.6.13 Firefox 13 - crashes when you try to open

    I've been using firefox 3.6.13 for quite awhile; the reason why I have such an old version is because it's for a work computer, and an upgrade to newer versions in general is not homogeneous and can interrupt the working process.

    Anyway, I find some downtime and decided that I would be upgraded to the latest version of firefox. Every thing seems to install fine, and he copied all of my addons on apparently (which I am thankful for). How ever, when opening Firefox it opens and displays two tabs saying "connection", but nothing happens beyond that. It just completely freezes providing the "waiting" icon when you move it. I tried + 10 minutes waiting for what ever treat was to finish, but nothing happened. To close Firefox, I need to kill the process in Task Manager.

    I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but the same problem occurs. I tried to search earlier, stable versions of firefox, but couldn't find anything.

    One possible cause is security software (firewall, antivirus) that prevents or limits Firefox or plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after the detection of changes (update) for the Firefox program.

    Delete all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container in the permissions list in the firewall and leave your firewall again ask permission to get full unlimited access to the internet for Firefox and the plugin-container and the update process.

    See "basic troubleshooting: a new profile:

    There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "tools > Modules > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.

    If the new profile works then you can transfer files from the old profile to the new profile, but make sure not to copy corrupted files.
