Director of HP with the Mountain Lion
I recently bought a new MacBook Pro running Mountain Lion, and although I have no problem using my MFP HP LaserJet Pro M1212n impression, I can not install HP Director, so can not scan, etc.. When I try to use the software disc to install and install the Director, he keeps returning an error message: I need the administrator privileges (which I have). Any advice to get the software installed on the Mountain Lion?
Thank you.
Don
Hi Don,
Great to hear that the issue of AirPrint been resolved now!
By your description, it seems more likely that only the printer has been installed and not the HP software.
Try the following steps to install the Lion software and check if this may work:
- Go to System Preferences< print="" &="" scan="" and="" remove="" the="" current="">
- Go to System Preferences > security & privacy. Modify the security settings to allow to install all software (you may need to click the lock icon to allow changes).
- Download and install the software 10.7 below:
http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=IM-80903-5&CC=us&DLC=en&LC=en&OS=219&product=3965849&sw_lang= - After completing the installation I highly recommend allows you to change the default security settings...
Now try to use the HP scanning application in the folder of Laserjet Application\HP.
Although it was not tested and not for the OS, so it may work or may not be not and cannot be stable as expected, I personally have it stable software on ML with very satisfactory results...Kind regards
Shlomi

Photoshop is not compatible with the new camera
I've had my laptop stolen a few months ago, so I lost my Adobe's Suite. My boyfriend managed to get my photoshop and ambient light on my laptop, but I now have a D810 Nikon which is not compatible with the versions that I have. Any suggestions on how to proceed so I can edit my files?
What version of Photoshop you have. You need CS6 or superior and Camera Raw 8.6 or higher to read the files. Otherwise, you can use the free DNG Converter

Bridge break with the Mountain Lion
It's bad. I upgraded to Lion mountain and great, I'm very happy with it. No problem with Photoshop CS5 (cannot afford to upgrade immediately) and Illustrator CS4, everything works as expected. BUT... Bridge has completely refused to work and I'm panicing as I use almost every day.
It will be open, but when you try to use it, it just hangs. All updates are installed as far as I know, and I'm desperate. Currently have sitting work and waiting to be done and I'm becalmed. All the necessary advice urgently.
Thank you
OK - did some more research and decided to try to launch OnyX. Post OnyX everything works now, including the bridge and better than before! YAY!

Contribute Cs4 does not not with the Mountain Lion
A few upgrades to ML and Contribute Cs4 won't open with a warning that says, "no Document types have been found. The application will exit now. "I'm on a MacBook Pro.
Can someone help me?
Please, I beg you!
29/08/12 - 00:03: Re: Mountain Lion & CS4 Con
Mountain LION is not a platform support for Adobe Contribute CS4. The supported versions are recent 6.5 Adobe contribute and Adobe Contribute CS5. X.

Creative Suite CS6 Apps break to launch with the Mountain Lion
It seems that there is a compatibility problem running OS Lion mountain with Adobe Creative Suite Apps. Most crash on launch. Lightroom also seems to work and Photoshop and Bridge. Dreamweaver CS6 breaks down and I use this program all the time. I think I should go back to Lion. Does anyone else have this problem?
Thank you all for the helpful answers. The problem was in fact a police problem. Apparently, the Library-Fonts folder contained bad fonts. I just took out them and CS6 now works perfectly.

Why Photoshop Mix is not written to be compatible with the Android tablets?
I have a Samsung phone 4 Note and note 10.1 2014 tablet edition. Photoshop Mix is compatible with the 4, but not the 10.1 - why? This encourages all side loading of the APP, which is clearly not advised.
The app opens upward to the shelves soon?
Hi realmasters,
So, I got official confirmation that the Mix is phone only on Android.
:/ Sorry about that.

How to Lr3 and CS5 upgrade to be compatible with the new Macbook Pro retina display
I think that Adobe recently released updates for Lightroom and CS6 that make them compatible with the retina display. First of all, is that correct, and second, if I Lr3 and CS5, how to? I know it's a stupid question.

Yes, that's correct.
The following includes support for the retina
Photoshop CS6 13.0.2 (perpetual license) and Photoshop 13.1 (members of cloud)

I have a MacBook Pro 17 withProcessor - in 2.33 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo (circa 2007). Running OS 10.7.5 (Lion). System indicates the computer is not compatible with OS later. Hardware can be upgraded to the latest processors and other components to make it compatible with the latest OS. I think that later models of Macbook Pro 17-inch with processors that allow updates. I was wondering if these can be swapped or if alternatives were available.
Only the RAM and storage (HD, SSD) can be changed. Everything is welded to the map logical and selected specially for the system configuration.
I'm sorry.

I expect an early version of Photoshop (for example, the Mountain Lion) to work on El Capitan?
You can see the operating system that each version has been designed here in the requirements:
Older software is designed to run on the older operating systems and are not guaranteed to work on the most recent. Some users have tried such things as running in compatibility mode. Make older programs run in this version of Windows - Windows help
I don't know if there is something similar for Mac.
