Photoshop does not start (nothing happens)

Hey guys,.

my photoshop does not work since I got my new computerhardware:

Invidea geforce gtx 970

Intel Core i7-4790 3.60 ghz

8 GB RAM

W97 - pro ASUS motherboard

enough space on my hard drive

Whats happening:

I run Photoshop with the cloudsoftware and my photoshop.exe said Task Manager runs as a process but not as an application

After 10 seconds the process photoshop.exe disappears and that's it.

So I see all the windows and nothing happens.

When I start Photoshop again the same thing happens.

(I reinstalled them both and I already deleted the OOBE files in/appdata/local/OOBE

It did not work)

Anyone has the same problem or solved?

Pls tell me.

Thank you very much

  • The Task Manager does not appear, nothing happens when you select it

It is very difficult to get help. Now, I'm not sure if this is the right forum and place to be. I need help to get the Task Manager which has disappeared from my computer. I click right on the taskbar, and then click on task manager and nothing appeared. Please advise on how to find him.

    Hi disillusionedvery,

If you're not, try to login as an administrator and see if that makes a difference.  If so, we still have a problem, but at least we know the Task Manager is here.  If you have any other user accounts on the computer, try connecting them and see if they all have the same problem or if it is limited to one account.  Your profile may be damaged and if this is the case, post back and I will provide procedures about how to fix it.

Try pressing CTRL-ALT-DEL all at the same time and click Task Manager on the screen that appear and see if it works to access the Task Manager.

If this does not work, let's try the following:

Go to start / all programs / accessories / command prompt and right click on command prompt, and then click Run as administrator.

, Type sfc/scannow go and let it run.  It will scan and try to the difficulty of some of your system files.  If all goes well he comes complete with no corruption, it could not repair (if it has these post of corruption here or try to analyze it to find the problem or files using http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928228.

While in the command prompt, type chkdsk /f /r and enter and let it run.  They tried to set itself to run at the next reboot.   Answer Yes and restart to run the program.  It will scan and attempt to resolve any corruption or bad sectors on your hard drive and remove especially as a potential cause.

If it does not, then thanks for posting error messages in the event viewer on the Task Manager (Start / Control Panel / administrative tools / Event Viewer).  Look in the system section.

If this does not work, try a boot minimum http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135.  If the problem goes away then it's just a matter of tracking down the culprit at the origin of the problem.   Follow the procedures described in the article.  Once found, remove, delete, disable or uninstall.  Once remember to put Vista in normal status, as described in the procedures. If the problem occurs in clean mode then just restore the system to normal and reboot - this solution will not work.

Start in safe mode with network and see if the problem is here.  A result allows us to narrow down the search for the cause.

Do you know when this problem started?  If it has been reasonably recent, try a restore of the system to a point in time BEFORE the problem started. If the first attempt fails, then try an earlier point or two.  NOTE: You will need to re - install any software and updates that you have installed between now and the restore point, but you can use Windows Update for updates.

If this does not work, you may be infected with malware.  Update and run a scan complete with any security software you use.  Then, try the following programs if you do not, because they can help. I recommend you download, install, update and run full scans with Malwarebytes:http://www.malwarebytes.org/ and SuperAntiSpyware:http://superantispyware.com/ and then run a full scan of Microsoft Security:http://www.microsoft.com/security/default.aspx.  If you find something, especially something you can't delete, then after return.

That's enough for now.  One of these procedures will be hopefully resolved or at least identify the problem.  If this isn't the case, please post back with the answers to the above questions, results of the tests and procedures that you did (including copies of errors if any found), your version of Windows (for example, 32-bit Vista Business SP2) and anything else that you think may be useful.  We will then decide where to go was from there, armed with more information and know what and did not work.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • CS5 - Photoshop does not start: preferences was not valid (it was deleted)

    Environment:

    Win7 Ultimate - ram 4 GB - CS5 Design Premium

Seemingly out of the blue - Photoshop stopped loading, and I'm getting two error messages:

first: ADOBE PHOTOSHOP CS5 Extended: "unable to load actions because an unexpected end of file was encountered."

Second: ADOBE PHOTOSHOP CS5 Extended: "could not initialize Photoshop because the preferences file was invalid (it was deleted)."

    • I deleted the two preference files - but they do not seem to repopulate at startup - (or if they do, they are removed by the error message)

    • I tried to copy a file from another machine of work preferences, but this has not as well.

Also: Dreamweaver is deporting the following error messages - but opens and seems to operate normally.

The following JavaScript error has occurred: cannot open script file C:\Program Files (x 86) Adobe\Adobe Dreamweaver CS5\Configuration\Shared\Spry\Designtime\EditingUtils.js (error 2).

The following JavaScript error has occurred: cannot open script file ' C:\Program Files (x 86) \Adobe\Adobe dreamweaver CS5\Configuration\Shared\Common\Scripts\dwscripts.js "(error 2).

I'm in the middle of a big project and need to recover quickly - any help would be appreciated.

    THX.

Run photoshop as administrator holding Ctrl + Alt + Shift, which should trigger a preferences reset prompt.

If this does not work I do a backup and remove the whole Adobe Photoshop CS5 Settings, not only the two files you mentioned.

As for your question of Dreamweaver, try to delete the WinFileCache-* .dat (or FileCache.dat) of your Dreamweaver configuration folder.

Otherwise try to delete your preferences

    • Release of Dreamweaver.

    • In Windows Explorer, navigate to \AppData\Roaming\Adobe C:\Users\Your User Name.

    • Rename the folder of Dreamweaver preferences:

      • Dreamweaver CS5: Rename the folder Dreamweaver CS5, for example, of old of Dreamweaver CS5.
    • Click Start, type regedit in start search and press ENTER.

    • In the left pane of the registry editor, navigate to the following key:

      HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe

    • Remove Dreamweaver preferences registry entries.

  • CC of Photoshop does not start

    Hello

I just installed Photoshop CC, as well as other software on Mac OS X 10.8.5 CC. All other apps are greate work, but Photoshop won't start and give me an error indicating that the program won't boot because of a program error (translated from the french message: "impossible to initialize photoshop because of a program error")

I uninstalled Photoshop, remove an old aftereffect CS3 remaining (to be sure) and reinstalled Photoshop, but still the same message.

I have never installed Photoshop on this computer before, so I did not anything wrong with preferences.

    Any idea?

OK, now I'm really confused.  The only things that feed this code are your preferences and your ColorSync display profiles.  One of them must be corrupted to cause this error.

    OK, a place more to check: / Library/Application Support/Adobe/Color/Settings /...

These are the files of color/preset default settings.   You're probably using "general EU goal Defaults.csf".

Change the name of the directory in the Finder to start by ~ (it becomes ~ settings), and then launch Photoshop. (beware, don't do it from the command line, because ~ is a special character in the shell)

If that solves it, then the default color settings have been corrupted.

But if it does not it, I'm out of ideas and will have to find someone else for troubleshooting your system (probably to get a disk image in order to debug the application and see how it is a failure).

  • The CSSD does not start automatically on the Non-RAC - AIX 5 L

    Hi all

    Database: Oracle 10.2.0.4
    AIX 5.3 TL 10 OS

I am facing a problem with the Non-RAC/Clusterware CSSD.

When we restarted the CSSD service server does not start automatically, and there is no relevant messages in the log files of the CSSD.

Run 'localconfig reset $ORACLE_HOME', to run but does not start the CSSD.

Running 'start /etc/init.cssd' - does not work, nothing happens when you throw

I manually ran "file/etc / init.cssd to run" and the start of the CSSD (ossd.bin) service without errors.

No error on errpt in AIX.

I opened a SR, but I'm waiting for response from the Oracle.

    Hello

I think that this problem is not with Oracle, but in AIX.

It may be that a process that starts at the start is the other process. You need to identify what application/process.

Check the process in inittab who are already active and which are inactive, they must be active.

A clue: is very common process that is launched in standby mode keep the boot server.

    wait
When the init command enters the run level that matches the entry's run level,
start the process and wait for its termination.
All subsequent reads of the /etc/inittab file while the init
command is in the same run level will cause the init command to ignore this entry.
