  The screen itself may be defective or the FL inverter has failed. Try to connect an external monitor to your laptop and see if you can get a good view. If the external monitor does not work then it is probably a problem with your graphics chip.

  I had to do a system restore Win 7 and now to relaunch Photoshop 11, the Organizer will open, but Photo Editor does not open.

  Download Photoshop elements 11 using Chrome.  After several hours, the download stops and does not reume.

  I downloaded Photoshop Elements directly from Adobe.  I used the wizard to download provided by Adobe.  Since this post, I was able to complete the download.  My problem may have been a slow connection or Adobee at my end.  I discovered that I have also been download hade a great update from Microsoft that may have hampered my efforts to download items.  Thank you for your help.

  I just reinstalled Photoshop Elements 5.0.2 on my Windows 7 computer. I checked that I do work the 5.0.2 patch. Whenever I try to start the program it hangs on the home screen with the message "Search Plug - Ins". I tried running as plain-old Windows 7 as administrator, in Compatibility Mode for XP (Service Pack 2 and 3) and all combinations of the above, I can think.   You can perform power drain to check the issue.

  To perform a reset of the diet:

  1. Unplug the power adapter for your laptop.
  2. Turn the laptop to remove the battery. Turn the computer over and open it.
