Photoshop Elements 9 opens to the Welcome screen.

Elements 9 opens to the Welcome screen. Organizer and Edit will not be not open. I can't disable the programe so I can re - install. I tried pressing Ctrl + Alt + Shift but nothing happens.

Hi Brian

I pressed Ctrl + Alt + Shift while 'pole' Barber was turning and sometimes more.

Using the direct link on the editor did not work. Just the same welcome screen and no message.

Tried your method above with the organizer and got the Catalog Manager, selected current catalog can fix.

When finished I rebooted my system and started 9 items in the usual way and hey presto! Everything works normally.

Thank you very much for your advice.

Very much appreciated.

Kind regards

Barry

I have no familiarity with the program to be able to tell what to do.  If it's like other Adobe software, there should be a setting in preferences (assuming that there is an option) that allows you to dictate how the programs opens.

In the software that I use the most, for example, if you select Edit-> preferences, the Panel that opens has what see you below where you can choose what the program has when it is launched...

  • Computer opens with my name on the Welcome screen after Windows Update.

Original title: opening session/Welcome screen problem

My problem started when an automatic update installed Windows Indexing and also, somehow, caused my computer to open with the Welcome screen with my name on it instead of just starting on the desk as he always did before this update. I wanted to or if necessary so I looked for a way to disable indexing. A web page was told to delete all except Richard (my name) account and the guest account. There was an account for Net framework so I removed it. Since then my computer wants to log on just "administrator." To change this, I was told to go to user accounts and change the way in which Windows connects. I did and now Windows gives me an error message when trying to login "administrator." I click the OK button on the error message and then it gives me the choice to open a session like me or comments. I chose me and then it connects. I want just XP to go directly to me.

I'm sorry if my question above seems confused. It's because I'm confused about this. I hope it's clear enough for someone to help him. I tried the Help Desk, but they charge I have no money. I felt that they should help because this problem was caused by intrusive and unnecessary changes to my use normal XP that Microsoft made without asking me to do or not.
    TIA,
    KK

Thank you.  I had to do things a little differently that you suggested, but it helped. I had to check the checkbox that users must enter a user name and password so I could choose my name and then after doing that I have disabled, users must enter a user name and password and click on OK. I left the White Hen of password window comes and then rebooted and it worked.

If you go into the applications folder, can you open Adobe organizer of 13 elements, or the Editor directly? The editor is well hidden. It is located in the support files folder in the Adobe Photoshop elements 13 folder:

  • How to report a bug? (Impossible to close the Welcome screen in Photoshop)

Adobe is marketing home and tell me how wonderful their products are very good, but when I have a problem and I'm trying to interact with Adobe to solve it (something I try to avoid), the assumption always seems to be ' oh it must be user error - you just need a little education "and not" hey this isn't how it should be - we'll fix it. I'm on the latest version of CC, running on a macbook pro running OSX 10.10.4

I'm in bridge and select a sequence of photos, tools/photoshop/load files into photoshop layers. After you load the layers, I find myself with the home screen loaded on top, like a modal window with no way to close it. The top of the home screen seems to be 'under' the OSX menu bar, so I don't have visibility where access to any button "close".

I tried to scroll to the bottom of the Welcome screen and selecting the "do not load at startup", but then I can't save this option because the only way I have to get out of photoshop is force it close because the Welcome screen doesn't let me do anything.

    Perhaps relevant:

I'm running on an external monitor, above my mac pro screen. The two screens are active and act in the way that they appear in the Visual extension of the other (for example I 'up' from my mac pro screen to get my big screen). I noticed that lately (maybe beyond 6 months) cc apps became not good to recognize where they are run and open dialogs on the wrong screen.

    Here is a picture:

I've seen a solution here (to disable the Welcome screen), which I still have to try:

    The Welcome screen troubleshooting

.. .but I don't want workaround I want a fix. The Welcome screen should never load so that it cannot be closed.

Thanks for any help or suggestion!

  • How can I re - open the Welcome screen?

What I found is on disabling it, but I like it - a little like bridge.

In any case – how can I re - open the home screen after I opened my first document?

    Thank you

    Hi Andrew

I'm glad you like the Welcome screen. But, welcome screen will appear only when no document is open in the application.

But again, you can enable the recent files Panel when you do a file > open or Ctrl/Cmd + O instead of open the OS dialog box. How it works - first time you launch Open (file > open or Ctrl/Cmd + O), recent files Panel appears, but if you want to see the OS dialog instead, you can again (second time) file > Open or Ctrl / Cmd + O while the recent files Panel appears and this will open the OS dialog box.

To enable this workflow, you can go to preferences and select the preference to opening of the salon "Recent files" Workspace file.

    Thank you

  • How to enable the Welcome screen in photoshop cc?

With photoshop the new se update. The home screen has disappeared and I wanted it back. I found it very useful with some of my drawings. How to enable the Welcome screen?

And just to clarify: Welcome screen has been replaced by the workspace of departure, completed by the advice that the Welcome screen was (although I admit that's exactly as good).

  • bypass the Welcome screen

I installed PSE9 on a new machine (Win 7).  I remember how to bypass the Welcome screen and go directly to the "editing window" when I opened elements. No problem in the past, but do not remember now. Thank you please - Hugh -.

Create shortcuts to desktop with a right click on an empty area of the desktop and selecting 'New' in the popup, and then 'shortcut' menu in the following menu.  When you create the shortcut,

    Editor executable file is:

    "C:\Program Files (x 86) \Adobe\Photoshop elements 9\PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe.

Executable file of the Organizer is:

    "C:\Program Files (x 86) \Adobe\Elements Organizer\PhotoshopElementsOrganizer.exe 9.

  • Get rid of the Welcome screen login

    Hello

I hope you can help me.

I'm not even sure what "topic" to put this issue in the framework, so my apologies if I chose the one badly.

For some reason, Windows Welcome, screen, requires me to login with my password, rises when I turn on my computer, but I have not had this before.

In the past I didn't at all, instead welcome screen, my hotmail e-mail inbox would come immediately, and I would be you connect this way.

However, now I got the first from Windows Welcome screen, I have to open a session in TM hotmail/Messenger screen is not coming and I have to open my Hotmail Messenger window and then have to manually enter my password again.

I didn't log in Windows with the Welcome screen before, only necessary to log my hotmail/Messenger account, and it's frustrating me to give my password twice now.

I have tried everything I can try to find out how to stop the home screen to come, but can not find a way to stop it.

Please can you help me? I would be very grateful if you could list the steps I must take to disable the Welcome screen.

Thank you very much and I hope to hear from you soon.

    Lynn.

  • When starting, how can I change the Welcome screen?

I would just start and open my own office, but still need me the blue welcome screen then I have to click on my user name. I only use the administrator user account. so I would just ignore the Welcome screen.

I don't know there's an answer posted somewhere in the title of the help, but I can't seem to find it.

You don't mention what version of Windows XP you have It makes a difference.

In addition, your statement "I only use the user administrator account" sounds like you are using the built-in account named Administrator.  It is a bad idea.

You must create an account for daily use.  If you want to have a "computer administrator" privileges, you can do (although several security experts advise you not to connect to the Internet with an administrator account, I think that the vast majority of XP users do it anyway).

If the built-in Administrator account becomes corrupted (happens), you will be in a much more difficult situation than if you had saved it "only emergency cases."

That being said, to auto-connect: http://windowsxp.mvps.org/Autologon.htm

  • Ignore the Welcome screen and goes directly to an account.

My computer, Windows XP Home Edition, recently crashed and I got a virus removed and was back, completely erased.  I have configured all the settings so that when the computer turns on, it SHOULD show the Welcome screen.  However, the computer always connects to one of the accounts immediately.  Can I change username to get the Welcome screen, but it does not start there.

Under the control panel > user accounts > user accounts > the way users log in, "Use the Welcome screen" checked.

I am naïve.  Please help me

    This should do it:

    1. Press the Windows key + R .
    2. Type control userpasswords2 in the Open: box and press Enter.
    3. Put a check mark in the box, users must enter a user name and password to use this computer .
    4. Click OK .

  • I have no welcome screen. How can I get the Welcome screen?

I am running XP Home Edition.  When I turn on the computer, I get only a window where I can type the user and password, but do not get the Welcome screen I'm used on other computers I use XP.  I want the screen which shows each user next to a small table, where choose you one to connect.  I also can't get there in the menu START.  If I click START, then click on LOG OFF, I don't get the option to SWITCH USERS that would take me to the screen of welcome as well.  If I open the control PANEL and click USER ACCOUNTS, I can't find a prompt which is supposed to say "change the way users Log On.  It comes to have I'm supposed to find a checkbox indicating "use the Welcome screen.  Is not an option for this version of XP?  Am just missing something?  Help, please!
