Photoshop image is get hidden in black or something

I have a file that I flattened in Photoshop. It seems. I have lot flattened a group of the bridge and is the only one with this very strange problem. It is a document with a lot of layers and seen in Photoshop or any other way, it seems. The central image shows in the first, but he has blacked out all around her. If anyone has experienced this? I've manually flattened like a psd again as a tiff file and it is always odd looking at first.

Thanks for your comments!

Holly

It looks like your channel Alpha (used to create the masking of the Ellipse) is entered and obscuring the background image. I'm doing my exports before import into Premiere directly of the Psalm so that I can have in my PSD Alpha channel, when I import a sequence w / layers flattened, the Alpha channel is not used. If I want to use it, I will Import_As_Sequence (in PrPro) and then get a calendar with all the layers.

If the PSD PE with the Alpha channel, try to remove any Alpha channel, before flattening. If you are using this as a mask layer (the way I do), certainly do a backup with all layers, paths and Alpha channels, and then remove the unused paths and Alpha channels, flatten and make a Save_As using PSD and change of name, say Image_001_Flatten.PSD, or similar. Import only.

Finally, when you are working with still images, you will be better served if you resize to the size of your project in the PS, before importing. Re-sizing to PS algorithms are better than those in PE or PrPro in my opinion. Also, you will not have overhead to work with great stills. This can cause endless problems of resources and may even lead to an all black or all green screen to the NLE programme. If you plan to pan a zoomed image, it's going to be bigger than the size of your frame, but should be barely big enough to make casseroles. Steve Grisetti recommends size max 1000 x 750. It is a very good number to use as the maximum I re-size to exactly what I use for most of my photos is smaller than that. Let PS this resize for you, you can improve the final result by a degree.

If the Alpha channel is still a problem, after using my method Flatten and Save_As above, join one of your. PSD (shaped over, just before you import) and e-mail it to me. My e'dress is in my Adobe profile. I'll be happy to study it for you and find the exact problem. Also, try the re-sizing. PS, I have an Action to do the re-sizing, usually on a DVD NTSC 4:3 card. and just do a batch on a folder full of still images. I can treat 100 + files in moments. Then I import into first.

Good luck

  • [CS3 JS] Get information about Photoshop images in InDesign

    Hello

    Thanks to an InDesign script I can get several pieces of information about an image, for example, the name of the file, the resolution in PPI, the size in inches, color mode, etc.

    What I was wondering if it is possible to know how many layers a Photoshop image can have. I would like a quick way to know if an image was flattened (layer) without having to open the image in Photoshop.

    Tom

    You can do it via BridgeTalk, here is an example. Select a TIF or PSD image and run the script.

    const gScriptName = "Get number of layers";
    const gScriptVersion = "1.0";
    var gLayersNumber;

        try {
            if (app.selection[0].constructor.name == "Image") {
                image = app.selection[0];
            }
            else if (app.selection[0].images.length > 0) {
                image = app.selection[0].images[0];
            }
            else {
                ErrorExit("The selection contains no image.");

  • When I open Photoshop CS4 all I get is a black screen with photos

    I can't get the pictures to open in CS4, all I get is a black screen.

    I have Vista Business operating system.

    I install the admin, I have video gforce3, ops Windows Vista Business card.

    1.67 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
    cache of 64 kilobytes main memory
    secondary memory 2048 k-cached

    2046 megabytes installed memory

    You need to update Photoshopto to version 11.0.1.

    What is the exact model number and manufacturer of the video card? Have you checked for drivers updated on their website?

    If you have done all that, see if the problem goes away when you turn off OpenGL in PS preferences.

  • can I choose the photo of the start and end positions to get rid of black borders?

    I tried to use the trial version of first elements 8 before buy you to see if it's able to do what I need to.

    I want to create a dvd photo, which is simple. I would like to use the scale feature to get rid of black borders and choose the start or end point of the photo.  the resolution of the photos are also terrible on screen, and when I import out in an uncompressed avi file. The photos are really high resolution and are very well in other programs.  Some of the photos sparkle even with anti flicker option enabled up to 100%.

    Adobe first elements may be able to make a dvd photo, or should I look at another adobe program?

    As Steve, pre can get you a DVD-video or a BD (for HD projects), but these will be on video and will be limited to the resolution of these two broadcast formats. If this is what you want, then the pre will do just fine.

    Regarding the images, I would NOT use all (or many) on the scale. Instead, I want to resize the images to match the size of the frame of the video project in Photoshop. This ARTICLE will give you some information and some advice.

    Good luck

  • . Integrate PDF images are getting distorted

    OK, I hope I can explain this. I am a complete novice to the Illustrator program.  I usually have no problem with the incorporation of images. But for some reason any now when I place a .pdf file and I stir him he seems to be doing all the lines of larger or something and distorting the whole image. I posted a picture to show what he does. Now I have the same image in a .png file, and it will integrate very well. So I think that it is only with the .pdf file. Thanks for the help.Embed Issue.jpg

    Just an update. I put the image in photoshop and saved in a .pdf file and placed in something and incorporated it and it does not distort the picture.  Not sure if this is important, but the image that gets distorted has a layer for every little thing in the logo, when I save it as a photoshop .pdf file, it makes the picture "one" in a sense, and it works fine. So maybe that's the solution for now.

  • Photoshop Image Processor resize due to permissions error

    Hi all

    I'm trying to resize a batch of images in adobe bridge via the Photoshop image processor, and whenever I did, all my images produce this error message:

    ", I am unable to create a file in this folder. Please check your access rights to this location"followed by the path to the location of the file.  I do this on a computer at school, if while I'm not owner, I did not have permission to write files. All my permissions check out when I go to "Get Info" on the record, in that I'm trying to save the images, and the file is unlocked.

    I found a similar position, but the solution was not relevant for OS X Yosemite, so I could not apply it. Here is the link to this one:

    "Cannot create a file in this folder."

    I hope you can help me,

    Anja

    If you put all the images in a folder and to select them in the image processor, it should work. You will also need to choose a folder where you want the saved processed images, assuming you want a different from the original ones.

  • Photoshop files now show as Adobe Photoshop, image 16

    I noticed that the small type psd file icon displays more on my PSD thumbnails in Explorer. I tried everything to get that back, but nothing helped. While trying to figure it out, I discovered that all my PSD files now say they are ".. image16'." I guess that means that they are 16-bit, but they are not. They are only 8 bits, so why Photoshop says they are 16? And how do I get the icon back?

    Any help would be greatly appreciated. It's driving me crazy.

    Oh, I'm on a PC running windows 7, if that helps.

    I'm more on Windows 7 I have not installed Windows 10.  However for that loon that I can remember. PSD files have been Adobe Photoshop, image 15.  I see in windows 10 that has not changed in my Explorer of Windows Windows file association abd files. However it looks like .psd in the register a .psd as Photoshop.Image.16. Photoshop.Image.16 open with CC 2015 on my system.  I don't use CC 2015, there are too many bugs so I put the file types that I edit with associations of default file from Photoshop to CC, 2014.  I still CC 2015 installed so I can test the updates to the release of Adobe.  I have CS2, CS6, CC, CC 2014 install as well as CC 2015.  There are differences in all versions.

  • Need to disconnect the photoshop image! Help!

    I opened a Photoshop (psd) file and began to chart on it with Illustrator, thinking, as JPEG files, the railways would float over the image and then when I finished the drawing I want to just delete the jpeg image.  This time after finished my drawing, I see that the Photoshop image is linked to the paths such as if I try to remove it remove paths as well!  I tried to figure out how to get rid of the image without removing the paths and no dice.  The only thing I could do was dim the image at 0%.   Is it possible to delete?   Of course, I'm a newbie to Illustrator, so I appreciate the help!

    Earlier figured it out, thanks to someone who read it anyway!

  • Put the media on top a Photoshop image

    I currently have a Web site that is the basis of Photoshop. I created a whole page on Photoshop, including all my texts and images. I used hot spots / image maps to connect users to different pages. But I'm unable to make components related flash in Photoshop. (Example: the Dream Weaver image viewer). My question is, how am I able to place an image view my Web page in Dreamweaver on top of the Photoshop image? I tried to make the layers, but the problem is that it has a fixed position and he won't be able to adapt to different sizes of office. I want to view image must be able to move toward the Center with my Web site.

    I currently have a Web site that is the basis of Photoshop.

    If you browse this forum, I bet you will see that > 50% of the posts here are people who took just that approach.  Photoshop (and Fireworks) do not write quality production HTML.  The HTML code you get from any graphic application is extremely "brittle" and will break as soon as you start to change the shape of the content of each page.  You must use a graphics application to make your graphics card and a HTML element writing system to write your HTML code.  It's the truth.

    I created a whole page on Photoshop, including all my texts and images. I used hot spots / image maps to connect users to different pages.

    The content of your text is part of the image?  You realize that you won't get ranked by search engines when you do that, right?  It's the worst thing you can do, really.

    My question is, how am I able to place an image view my Web page in Dreamweaver on top of the Photoshop image?

    Now you have found in the heart of the case.  To tell you how to do this, we must use the language HTML and CSS-talk, that you're not likely to understand if you use Photoshop just to write your HTML code.  The answer to your question is that you make your graphics a background image of the container involved and place your support in this container, properly oriented in this direction using padding and margins.

    I tried to make the layers, but the problem is that it has a fixed position and he won't be able to adapt to different sizes of office. I want to view image must be able to move toward the Center with my Web site.

    You can do this way, * and * make the center of the element to absolute positioning with Web site by wrapping the entire page in a container positioned relatively, for example, and balance

    ... the rest of the code from your page...

  • When I try to download Firefox on my mac all that get is a black page and no way to get support.

    I got Firefox as my browser since Version. 3.2. a few weeks ago, he began to reject any page that had Adobe Flash rendering it useless. I guess that my copy of Firefox was bad for trying to replace it. Mozilla/Firefox wouldn't let me. So I got rid of him and tried to download a new copy. All I get is a black tab window, see attachment. I can't add troubleshooting information because I deleted all files in Firefox.

    I tried for weeks support assistance. Total zero. This is no way to run a business.

    I'm at the end of the roll.

    Regarding the download of Firefox will now. After clicking on the download button, I get the black screen. There is no evidence that he even tried to download. I don't even have a partial dmg. Absolutely nothing.

    In your screenshot, it seems that Safari tries to display the .dmg file, which, of course, is not useful if you need to save to disk.

    I'm not familiar with Safari, but I guess that if you do a right click or Ctrl + click on a download link you have an option to save the file to a location specified on the disc. Please try using this page (scroll down to your preferred language): https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/

    Please help me if you can.

    Hello

    May I ask what computer do you have?
    Why you n t post this important information?

    You can start in safe mode? Maybe a driver or a virus has something confused upward in the Windows registry and the computer can start t more correctly.

    In the worst case, you must reinstall Windows using Toshiba recovery disc. :(

    You are able to print a self - test page, or print a document - you get the same black line when printing.

    You try to copy from the glass of the scanner or automatic document feeder?

    If the printout is fine without the black line and the problem only occurs when you copy - follow the steps mentioned in the document.
