  I have a question which I believe is related to the MGP1CN1610AR firmware update that was released on September 14, 2016 and auto installed on my HP Photosmart 5524.  Since the update I can print is no longer my laptop Windows 10, or my iPhone with iOS 10.  I can, however, send an e-mail to my HPEPrint account and this shows with success - which proves that the printer is connected to the internet and WiFi.

  My network is provided by my BT HomeHub 5 with BT infinity.  The status of router, the printer displays intermittently as connected then disconnected.  This is since the update of the firmware.

  Is it possible to restore the firmware on the printer? OR is there a known solution to get my WiFi printing works again.

  I'm glad you found a solution that worked for you. About the firmware, as long as the Web service is enabled, you can select the icon Web Services, settings, and then select printer Update, then the update is automatic, and turns off. This will prevent the firmware update on the printer.

  Welcome to the HP Forum! It is a wonderful location to converse with the community, get help and advice.

  I understand that you need to configure printing double-sided with your Photosmart printer.  Please follow the steps mentioned below and check:

  • Go to control panel - devices and printers.
  • Right-click on Photosmart 5524, then select 'printer properties '.
  • Select the tab "device settings".
  • Ensure that the "two-sided" is set to "Installed" rather than "Not installed" and save the settings.
  • Now, again give a right click on the printer icon and select "Print Options".
  • If a "Printing shortcuts" tab is available, select the option "Print on Both Sides" or «print double-sided (Duplex)»
  • If 'Print shortcut' is not available, click the "Layout", "Includes" or "Finishing tab", depending on which tab is displayed in your version of the driver.
  • Locate the "Print on Both Sides" or "duplex printing" menu or an option, then the option link or page flip depending on whether you want the document reads like a brochure or a Tablet and save the settings.

• Help! Locked into only when dynamic text I need static!

  OK, so I take the Flash course at the College and for the first mission I did, my CC Professional Flash was working fine, but now, for some reason, in the middle of working on projects of this week, the text locked in Dynamics only, when I really want to use static text.   The static text option is not available in HTML5 Canvas, but you can convert the field to form if you need by selecting the text field > Ctrl + B (separate).

• Photosmart B209a can you overried printer function? use the scan only?

  I have the Photosmart Plus B209a model installed print head is not intended for this printer, or is damaged. Refer to the Doc of the printer. Now, I have done this and cleaned ect. So, assuming that is damaged. I called to get this part and OMG! I might as well buy a new one! $85.00 and I did. My question is can I substitute the information of the printer and use the scan function again?   Thanks for any help!  Michael

  Unfortunately, you can not.  If the printer is in an error state, it locks you out of all the other functions of the printer.  I'm sorry.

• HP photosmart Premium All in o: how to print in black ink only, when all the colors are empty except new black tank.

  In the past, I was able to print with cartridge black new xl size, although all colors are empty city black photo.

  I have upgraded to OS to win 10 and my printer does not print with black ink only.  I ran a test and black ink appears here.  I print a few things ok in black only before having to make a reset in progress and had to reinstall a ton of programs and software.  No matter what I do with the properties, it will not be printed on the page and try to use colorful tanks that are empty.  It was never a problem before using win 7.  Please help ASAP!

  There are a few things to check:

  • Make sure the paper type is set to plain paper.  If Auto is selected and is confused with the Photo paper paper or photo paper is selected only the color and photo cartridges will be used.  (The pigmented black ink cartridge is not compatible with photo paper).
  • Define advanced settings for printing in grayscale, black ink only.  Otherwise, the printer may by default using inks from color for chart areas, since this offers a better print quality due to the smaller droplets of ink color.

  Drivers listed in the HP Web site must be compatible and will help you to install the printer. However suggest you try to install the printer using the provided disks. Unplug the printer, and then run the disks, only when you receive a prompt to connect the printer to the computer using the USB connection or wireless and complete the entire upward.   Just bought a photosmart 5524 printer.  Everything seems ok to start, but have you noticed (with a previous user) who come to the margins when printing on both sides.

  It seems to be to reproduce the same problem as the previous user, but I followed the resolution proferred in this thread, and the problem persists.

  I am running Windows 7, get the number of Word and Acrobat Pro 11 13.

  I tried to change the settings of the printer, as suggested in the thread precedent, but if these are defined that only, I don't get the option to print on both sides.  If duplex is set, I have the option when I select print in the program, but the margins are narrowed.

  My apologies if this has been resolved, but the only thread I can find is the only one I want to talk and this does not seem to resolve.

• Why my custom device break only when VeriStand trying to run it?
