  Good, Startin ' Slam beers now... Updated my Mac to leopard (10.5.8) desktop computer and my Photosmart C5550 does not print. I uninstalled and reinstalled the printer software and everything seems normal until I got to "print" a document. It seems to send the info to the printer, but nothing happens. When I look at "Series of HP Photosmart C5500" in the doc it activates and when I select the icon in the doc it says under "printing" status and above her beside the printer image says "connection inactive. This printer is connected to my Mac via USB and it will not print a test page when envoys of the computer, but it will print a test page for its own controls. I thought that this printer is compatible with 10.5... Am I wrong? In addition, my desktop widget recognizes the printer and even says the ink levels. Any suggestions?

  Make sure all the orange, packaging material is to remove the toner.

  Make sure that the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet. (do not use a hub or a surge protector) This ensures that the printer is full on and can help this situation.

  Try and print a self-test on the printer hardware to see if it is a hardware or software problem.

  Open and close the cover five times quickly. It should print a page with black lines on it.

  You can find the flashing light distribution in this document and the right solutions for the reason that you are experiencing, lights blinking on HP LaserJet P1005, P1006, P1007, P1008 and P1009 Printer Series.

  REAL SOLUTION. I had the same experience, spent hours pulling my hair like children had project do to school and it was 22:00.  Your cart is clogged! Here IS THE SOLUTION! (: 1) remove all ink cartridges. (2) extract the carriage that circulate in the ink cartridges by lever on the right and the trolley lifting vertically. (3) wipe any accumulation of visible ink on the outside with clean cloth or paper towel. (4) THIS IS THE KEY: keep transport under hot running water to empty all the handwritten entries in the irrigation channels that distribute ink. Keep rinsing in clear water i.e. no sign of ink. (5) trolley dry with clean cloth and blowing in areas, you can access in order to remove the remains of the water. (6) let transport air-dry overnight. (7) Re-install transport, then reinstall the ink cartridges. 8) ENJOY YOUR PRINTER. (9) I saw many entries on this topic dating back two years, without real solution offered. I am an automotive engineer in unemployment. If HP (or anyone else) would like to hire a smart worker, engineer in the Detroit area, please inform. Thank you!

  Photosmat 6520 will not print in black.  Cleaned up the wind of the cartridge and ran maintenance twice.  Test page, all the colors OK and text was correctly printed in black.  However, in attempts to print the text later, printer would not print in black.

  Almost enough money has been spent for the ink to try to correct the problem, as well as the cost of travel for the purchase of new cartridges, to pay for a new printer.  Therefore, I decided to remove the printer.  I was never as happy with it anyway.  I din't print a lot, but when I print, more ink is used in the maintenance process for the printed book.  Once again, you guys have been great, and I really appreciate your efforts to help me with the problem.

  I downloaded & installed, now the printer does not print. It scans ok just will not be printed. Called HP & said it was Microsofts problem. told by Microsoft of $ 80 or reinstall my computer back to the factory default settings. Not knowing much about computers I'm not want to do. The computer tells me the spool of printer off & to start but when I open the printer spool is on. I hope you understand that this is my 1st post.

  My new black ink no longer works on the printer.  This seems to be a problem throughout all of the printers HP no matter what model.  Did someone with similar problems had success getting their black to print despite all recommendations of manufacturing without success?  I have my printer just over a year.  I think it's ridiculous that a product falls down that quickly for money which is devoted to this topic.  I called HP for technical support and after doing all the things, he recommended that he told me that my printer is broken... is no longer under warranty... but he will sell me gladly one handed to nine for more than the cost I would pay if I bought it new from Amazon.  I trust is no longer the product... Why would I want one handed to nine?  Just looking for more tips out there who may have worked for others, before going out and buying an Epson.

  Had same problem, went out and bought new cartridges ink and all but worked black, what to do, throw it in the trash? or have a go at fixing, because I had just spent more than $90 on new cartridges, I thought I'd be there is attachment.

  To cut a long story short, that I managed to detach, scratching the dining room in the process, wife not impressed! puledl the ink outside, white liquor dispenser put spray gave him a good squirt, put back together, it now works like a new! Yay! Geez I'm so smart.

  our Photosmart is connected to the Linsys wireless router.  I put Windows 7 on my laptop (Dell Inspiron).  I loaded the drivers for Win 7 HP.  Adding printer functions and did while it was plugged into the laptop, then wireless, had to manually set the IP address of printers and the laptop did not.  then all loaded, I can see the printer, even ink levels, but when I printed, it Files and then I get an error message.  I tried to troubleshoot it, but he couldn't come up with anything...   Any thoughts on what it takes to get this happed to print is appreciated, oh yes, he did print the test page.

  Hi, Yes, the printer is only attatched ot the router wireless... I attatched just for the laptop with the e cable so I could print a pinch.  it load and I have this printer on my list of printers.  then I disconnected and loaded wireless that worked but I had to use the option to manually set the IP address of the printer.  So now on my printer list and it shows its ok "connected."  I can see the ink etc levels.  but when I try to print, it seems that everything is fine, he winds up in the print queue and say 'impression', but after a bit it turns into 'error '.  So I clicked and ran to help her out but going home.  He did print the test page and the page of diagnosis?   It is this problem with the main tray only with the 1 PDF A4 format you are trying to print. In other words, all other programs print correctly?

  What program you print PDFs through?

  If you use Adobe, try to go to:

  1. Click on file
  2. Click on print
  3. Click on advanced
  4. Choose 'print picture '.

  Please let me know if it's just a single PDF file or if it is the case with other PDF files and other programs. Good luck!

  I recently upgraded my HP Windows OS 8.1 for Windows 10 desktop computer. My deskjet 1050 printer, which worked fine before the upgrade, does not properly more print after the upgrade.

  I used HP Print and Scan Doctor several times, indicating no any problems. I am able to scan documents, the question is limited to printing. I also deleted and reinstalled the drivers at least 2 times (and restarted all systems on a regular basis).

  • A "test print" works very well.
  • When I print a PDF from the edge, the printer creates output but not good quality.
  • When I print an office word document, pages came out empty.

  3 cases have a common behavior, whenever I get an error message. "Morning maken puts printer niet mogelijk. Duch is for "cannot connect to the printer.".

  Do you have any tips for me?

  Welcome to the HP Forums, I'd love to help you with printing problems you encounter. Although I am not sure what is cause of the error of communication, or of poor quality, I suspect it has something to with the pilot and the recent upgrade. I suggest to uninstall the software, remove the Chuck from the properties of the server, and then put it back using the printer Installation Wizard. I will list the links and instructions below to help you in each of these steps.

  HP printers - uninstalling the software of the printer (Windows)

  Remove the driver from the print server properties:

  1. in the folder "devices and printers".

  2. choose "print server properties.

  • Win XP - with no printer selected, click 'File' then 'server properties '.
  • Windows Vista - with no printer selected, press 'Alt' and then click 'file' then 'server properties '.
  • Windows 7/8, 8.1 and 10 -select any printer in the "Devices and printers" folder and click on "Print server properties" above.

  3. click on the "Drivers" tab at the top of the window "properties of the print server.

  4. choose the printer that you want to uninstall, and then click 'remove '.

  5. choose "Remove driver only.

  6. the next screen will give a warning, letting you know that the removal of the driver package will remove it from the system. Click 'Yes' to say are you sure you want to do.

  If documents are stuck in the spooler to print, you see an error, cancel all documents waiting in the print queue or try restart the spooler to print, and then try to delete the driver from 'Print server properties' again. If she will not always remove the sachet, restart the computer and the printer should correct this error "in use" and allow the driver to be removed.

  Please ensure that you have completed all of the steps described in the following document; Printer cannot print black ink or color ink, or prints blank Pages. Although I hope that this solves the problem, he couldn't.   Hello, my printer aged 2 years does not want to print in black for 1 week. I tried everything to solve the problem is : head cleaning cartridges, printer reset , purchasing new ink cartridges ( ink hp orininal ) color settings when printing , diagnostic problem with the software hp ( scandoctor ? ) etc. Despite all my printer does print in color .When the test print all colors except black are there and when I try to print , half the time the pages are either white or did that a computer imprimé.Mon of sentence under Windows 8.1 , but this was never a problem.
