Photosmart 6525: paper mismatch error photosmart 6525

I get a "Paper mismatch" error when you try to print from Word on paper 8 1/2 x 11 holiday.  I can print on plain 8 1/2 x 11 paper without problem, but when I load the holiday paper and try printing the same thing I get "Paper Mismatch", and the only option on the printer screen is "press OK to cancel Job.  I don't want to cancel the job.  I want to print!  Why can it print fine on paper, but not on the holiday paper which is EXACTLY the same size!  I don't understand.  I have tried everything I can find on the HP site, but nothing solves this problem.

I found a solution on my own.  The problem seems to have occurred because the book of holiday has a metallic design around the edge, and the reflection of this metal was fool the printer into thinking it was something other than paper.  What I did to solve the problem, is to turn the paper so that the printer was looking at the back of the paper first, rather than the front.  I then change the setting in Word to print forward instead of back and forth.  The end result is what I wanted in the first place, but as now the printer has been to see the back of the paper first and the back of the paper is this metal edge, he saw this metal - all the saw of the printer was paper, so it worked.

Could someone tell me what I need to do to fix this problem?

    Hello Nashy58,

The question is in works for printing with the PhotoSmart printer line.  When you send a photo printing via ePrint, ePrint will automatically print to the photo tray.  At the moment there is no way to change this.  To print a photo to paper ordinary via ePrint, you put the paper in the photo tray, I would not recommend it because it was not designed to handle this type of paper.

OK, go to the ePrint app, select what you want to print once you have print preview, select settings. Then, select paper size.

  • Paper mismatch error message

When you attempt to print a photo, I get a paper mismatch error.  Uses a macbook pro 10.6.  This is a new printer Photosmart C309.  Loading paper photo 4 x 6 supplied with the printer... right side up... pushed forward and plastic cursor rolls over to the right... I try to print from iPhoto... selected photo... Press on print and selected photo 4 x 6-10 x 15... When I hit the "print"... key photo paper is slipped into the printer and then a few seconds later, I get paper mismatch error. Have printed docs full-size without problem.  Any help to be more appreciated... I did go to the HP website and download the latest drivers for this printer and osx 10.6.  Have checked all the settings in the system prefs under print and scan and see nothing wrong

Interesting... I was not choosing photo but that did not work... I selected auto and press on print and a message came up on the viewer of the printer that says something to the service that the automatic detection of paper was selected and went ahead and printed the photo... I tried to get the message coming up again in order to be correct in what he says, but it won't come back again.  Thank you very much for your help... printed 4 photos and they are all 'professional' looking... I'll take advantage of this printer.  Once again, thank you!

  • When I try to print a CD Stomper labels page, I still get a paper mismatch error

Whenever I try to print a label on the CD Stomper page, I get paper mismatch error but I'm able to resolve the issue each time, but the procedure does not solve the problem permanently; only one or two times, but if it's a new day the error again I have to repeat the procedure to appoint the problem and I am trying to print and it will display once more.  I need a permanent solution to this problem.  I use the HP Photosmart C5180 All-in-One.

The reason why he does not remember the settings that you make for your printer is because these settings are stored in the software you use, the only way to change them permanently is to set them as the default value in the program that you are using itself. So, you may have to contact your CD Stomper for how to do this.

Let me know if this helped!

  • Envy 100 D410 printer paper mismatch error

My Envy 100 gives "Paper mismatch" error when I try to print using ePrint, when I try to print a status report and any other time, I try to print unless in the Windows driver I put quality in the 'project '.

I tried to clean everything, but no luck, it seemed to just start doing this a few months ago.

    Any ideas?

From previous posts, I see that this printer is having a problem with the hardware with the paper sensors.  Setting the printer in project mode overrides the paper sensors and works around this problem.  However, it seems that web services are unable to pass even with the project defined mode.  So, I guess that this printer is out of warranty is an Envy 100.  I would say that at this stage, the best idea with this printer is to print in draft mode of the computer and try copies in fast mode.

If you want to use web services, then this product of replacement would be needed to take advantage of this feature.  Good luck.

  • OfficeJet 6600: Paper mismatch error

    Hello
Will be a mistake of the incompatibility of weird paper on this new computer. Initially, printed but on a slight angle, now it does print none with regular paper mismatch error. The book is on letter and page of the letter, is not sure what is happening.

Seen on a post of support for the same problems with a 6500 a download a firmware update - but once I try to install, it is said that the program is completely updated... which does not help. I clicked to repair the program in the region to add / remove programs, but no change. Would not have to uninstall and reinstall the printer, but probably it is the best next step for me for me.

But... I saw someone here say they have been PM'ing some people with a similar problem, some kind of reset the option for this obviously common problem... don't know why reset options aren't just posted on the forum as well. Also tried is installing the latest version of the HP Support Assistant... but it just sits there, appearing there download but nothing happens and it never seems to fill.

I hope we can understand this... endless with the 6600 lately.

    Thanks in advance!

Grandson did a uninstall and reinstall, we did things with the printer. It reprinted tortuous though, even after all the updates, firmware and drivers have been updated the link to the driver.

  • my hp officejet 6500 a keeps giving me paper mismatch error

I have a HP 6500 has more (and users of Windows XP) I tried to stop it and disconnect and reconnect. I also entered the printer icon and made sure that the paper size stated, "Plain" and it still not print a document. Any suggestions?

This printer has a firmware update that address the question you seem to have.

1 update the firmware go to www.hp.com/support - drivers Select & Software - enter 6500 has more for the product number

    2. on the next page, select your operating system (windows xp)

    3. step 2 - Select a download - click the firmware download and run the firmware update

To do the update of the firmware, you need to be connected by usb.  If it's a wireless installation, simply connect the usb cable and run the firmware, you do not have to install the usb printer.

  • Office Jet 6500: Mismatch error paper, Office jet 6500

I read all the old posts.  Do you have any suggestions and nothing seems to work.   A few days ago, I was able to print an invitation on paper 5.5 by 8.5.  Today, none other than error messages.   Same printer, the same paper, same settings.      The error message is a paper mismatch.   I spent hours trying to figure out the problem.  I mean seriously, why would it be such a question?  Something as simple as changing the paper size.   Another thing that really sucks on this printer, it's that you can't customize the papersize.  I need 5.5 by 8.5, but had to choose the closet to 5 by 7.

    Help!

Hey there @dzarlene, welcome to the Forums of HP!

I understand that you are facing a "Paper mismatch" error when you try to print an invitation to your Officejet 6500. I have some ideas in mind for you to try, to see if we can solve this problem for you!

    1. click on this link, select your operating system and follow all the steps in the order: Printers HP - "paper Mismatch" or "Paper Size Mismatch" error

    2. run the print and scan the doctor. This diagnostic tool will check for all conflicts that may be causing the problem. The tool will show you a report at the end. If there is a problem that the tool could not fix, you will notice it in the results.

    3. uninstalling the software of the printer, restart the printer to download and reinstall the full functionality driver here (select 6500 JO you have, click on the software and drivers and 'Check now': drivers & software )

Try to print again and let me know what happens!

  • Hp6500A more than paper Mismatch issue

I recently to question of error "paper mismatch" that stop me printing on my Hp 6500 a Plus. I checked and rechecked all of the default settings. With standard 8.5 X 11 paper plane and "Letter" size paper selection, I can not always clearly the question. I rebooted the paper, reset the printer to default settings, reloaded the driver, unplugged the printer and restarted, etc, etc, but no joy on print. I'm afraid that the paper sensor may have blamed outside. Don't know how to check this.

    Hi Landrover1,

I want to help you to be able to print without having seen the paper mismatch error. Please use the solutions in the following document to solve the problem. Solve a 'Paper mismatch' error.

    I hope this helps.

  • Error printing paper mismatch

When I try to print, the paper is pulled part of the way into the printer, then I get an error message on the printer screen that says "paper mismatch" and printing stops.  When I cancel the job, the printer pushes the paper through, and when it comes out, the bottom of the sheet (the last part out) is wrinkled.  Sometimes the paper will not push throughout and I take it out of the printer.  I noticed in this case, when the printer is stopped, the lower edge of the paper has a wave, i.e. it is not "flat", and the top end of the paper is not aligned right into the printer, but tilted.  Can anyone help?

Looks like a hardware problem (maybe some paper stuck in the printer).  Seek assistance from the manufacturer of your printer.

Often, these guys have useful information--> http://www.fixyourownprinter.com/

In both cases, you will need to identify the make and model of your printer.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8500 has more: format of paper PAPER MISMATCH or type is incorrect message

When I try to print a regular 8 1/2 x 11 paper, I get an error message that says "paper mismatch: paper size or type is incorrect." What happened recently power, and sometimes I couldn't the printer to print if I power off (reset) completely and/or rebooted my laptop, or if I deleted the printer in the preferences system and then he readded.  But now, not even these solutions are effective and I get the error message.  I followed the following steps: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01824353 and had no luck.

If I could just replace the message, it would be a cure, because everything that I never print is 8 1/2 x 11.

I am not sure, but it may have started to happen after I upgraded my laptop 10.9.5.

Anyway, if I could dare ask you to respond very clearly and in a sort of step by step of passage. I'm a Baby Boomer, so it is not intuitive for me, thank you in advance to give me very simple instructions!
