Photosmart 7260:7260 on OSX

The last service software HP printer for the 7260 a photo printer hang up the Mac and printer for ALIGNMENT for a new print cartridge.  Disconnection always occurs at the same place, just after the bosses of edge of the printed page.

Help, please.

Thanks for this response.  I suspected that this kind of situation and it is good to have explained.  Better to have supported this explanation up front, for example in a list of operating systems that are taken on the HP support site.

When I searched HP 7260 on OSX support site, it gave me a link to the software download.  I have seen no indication that there is no specific software for OSX.  I removed the HP driver and re-installed on the HP site, with no indication that it was not specific to OSX.

I will continue to use the 7260 as I am lucky to have an obsolete computer that can run the operating system for it.

I already tried the option to unpgrading the printer.  Apple (Canada) has recommended a new HP printer, I bought with my new iMac, but the accompanying software hung up several times and I went to the printer.

Peroxide used as an act really class.  I'm really sorry that the times have changed.

    Hello

I just installed the latest drivers for a Photosmart 7260, the printer will show ink levels when printing when running on the old XP operating system.

I can't find the old box to tools which was right click on the taskbar now on 8.1 MS.

I tried right clicking on the icon in the control panel/devices and printers, passed through the right click menu without help.

How can I check the ink level?

Thanks a lot for any advice.

Driver HP Photosmart 7200 Series installed (61.53.25.9) for printer HP Photosmart 7260 on HP ProBook 4270 s running the Windows 7 64-bit operating system. I have a few packs of paper HP Everyday glossy 4 x 6 (without tab) to print photos. Indeed, I can reproduce the exact behavior even with Windows 7 64 bit.

Add another driver that should solve problem withut wasting any use of the feature:

Click on add printer and select the USB port.

While the list of printers, click Windows Update and leave a few minutes up to that list once again displayed.

  • installation photosmart 7260

I am using Windows 7 on my PC. I got a printer HP 7260 Photoshop in an unopened box.  I could make it work like a basic printer by connecting a USB cable that automatically downloaded the relevant printer drivers.  However I cannot perform an installation using the CD provided, which means that all the evidence - photo printing, calibration of the cartridges, etc. is not available to me - that the CD is not recognized.  I understand that it will work with Windows XP, but none of my PC's have this load.

What canI do to fix this.  (if it is of no use to the potential respondents, I'm in Australia).

Hi, due to the age of this printer only basic features are supported in Windows 7.

Take a look at this HP link for more information.

  • Connect a HP photosmart 7260 D to a network

I want to install a HP photosmart D7260 on a network. The network has an office smart touch running windows 8 and a laptop with windows 7. I connect the printer to the network and then download the driver for windows 8? After that, open the download, and then turn on the printer? Please notify. Any help would be most appreciated.

Hi naturelady and welcome to the forums of HP!

I understand that you have a Photosmart D7260, you want to join a network and then install and use it with a Windows 8 and Windows 7. Absolutely, I'll do my best to help you with this.

I suggest that you start by turning on the printer and connect the Ethernet cable to the printer and then the router/modem. Once this is done, you can download/register the software for Windows 8 for your printer, and then run the installation. Once this is complete, you can then go to your Windows 7 computer and follow the same installation steps once you download/save Windows 7 software on your computer as well.

Hope this helps, please let me know how everything goes!

  • Toolbox Photosmart 7260; I lost it! Want calibrate cartridges

I replaced the black ink cartridge. Printer works and prints well.

A message keeps popping up telling me to calibrate my cartridges.

In order to get rid of the message, I think I should calibrate!

I can't find the box tool to perform this service.

    Help! Please, I beg you!

    Lucie

Ok! Finally, I found the hp Toolbox and managed to calibrate ink cartridges. For those of you who read this, here's how you can find the box tool in XP. I couldn't do the prescribed ways found in the help or support.

Click Start, then Control Panel; Click on "printers and faxes". Then right-click on the icon for hp Phtosmart and select Properties. On this screen, and the lowest is a button called "Printing Options"; Select the tab "Services".

Now, make sure you double-click the service icon on this screen.

And, voila! The next window is the one I've been looking for; It's "hp Photosmart" 7200 Series Toolbox! Finally this page from the Toolbox allowed me to calibrate, clean, example of printing and print the Test Page.

The second tab showed me the "estimated ink level".

  • HP Photosmart 7260 - I get "network busy" message when you try to print from home network

I've included just a mac pro with Snow Leopard OS on my home network. I tried to add the shared printer, but even with the IP address, I can't print. Work of all my other pc. The host computer uses Windows XP, DELL router with firmware update, the printer is connected through a router. I already downloaded the latest drivers from the Apple site. Without success.

OKAY, OKAY.  Honestly, I'm not very good with printer sharing, especially across operating systems, but I'll give it a shot.

First of all, just to be clear, the printer is connected to a XP machine via USB and you're trying to print via a router, right?

    Let's try the simple approach:

    1. enable the account on the XP machine.

    2. on the Mac, go to System Prefs > Print & Fax, click the plus sign "+" to add a printer, and then click the Windows icon at the top.

    3. go to the XP machine, you may have to connect to it.

    4. choose the appropriate driver in the menu dropdown.  If it does not exist, choose a Gutenprint driver.

Yet once again, I'm not very experienced with that - let me know how it goes.

  • HP photosmart 7260 flashing red and the impression of not

have had this printer for several years... was working fine then the red light started flashing and it will not be printed... I unplugged several times... nothing happens when I try to print... computer can't detect... continuous red light problem flashing... any ideas?

Sorry you are having this problem with the red light flashing. It may be something wrong with the ink cartridges.

    Have you replaced them lately?

    1. perform a hard reset on the printer. Unplug the power cord at the back of the printer. Leave for 30 seconds.

    2. remove both cartridges.

    3. clean the contacts on both cartridges and check for leaks.

    4. reconnect the device. Place a cartridge in and and see if you get the red light.

    5. If this is not the case, go out and place the other cartridge in. See if you get the light RED or green.

    6. If you get red light on either, it may be a bad cartridge and replacement needs.

Let me know if it helps.

  • No drivers on the HP PhotoSmart C4580 for Mac OSX Lion site

I have a Photosmart C4580. I upgraded my Mac OSX Lion book about 6 months ago. Reinstalled the printer software and had no problems. It is up to AT & T Uverse sent me a new gateway/modem. I have of course with the new wireless modem get the printer connected to the network. I couldn't get this to work so I decided to uninstall and reinstall the printer. When I go to the HP website there are no drivers for this printer for Mac OSX. I'm not a tech savvy person, btw. Thank you.

It seems that you have installed the printer twice and there is some sort of bug with the printer 'offline '. I would just move forward a delete it if everything works as it should with the new printer 'lazy '.

  • Where can I find software for e-all-in-one HP Photosmart C310 series Mac OSX Lion v.10.7?

I bought the printer HP Photosmart Premium e-all-in-one C310 series yesterday night and desperately need to print today.  However, the installation disc is not supported by my Mac happening on v10.7 Lion OSX.   I read on a site that I should be able to access a software upgrade via the Apple website, but could not find the last night.  Help, please!

Also, I loved the easy set-up using the touch screen and my wireless mode.  No cables needed!   Now, if I can get any software updated today, that will be great!

Your printer works perfectly in Leo.  Indeed, pilots are probably aready in your operating system.  Get the installation program and be able to use it.  We have a doc that will guide you through the process.  (It's pretty simple)  OS X 10.7 Lion: install and use the printer with Lion

My C4280 works very well using the OS X Snow Leopard operating system. After that I installed Lion, the scan utility scans, but does not respond when I command to print, save or send. The screen showing the scanned document/photo remains open on the screen cocmputer. I am unable to get out of this window or the screen. I cannot get the HP application scan the computer force quit. Anyone know what I should do (1) get out of this 'frozen' HP scanning application and (2) cause the C428-works all the time?

    Thank you.

    Hello

The HP scanning application is not compatible with Lion.

Make sure to install any update HP available by clicking the Apple icon, then software update, then you can scan using any method of scan provided by Apple as shown below:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c01910186

If you still have problems, completely remove any HP software installed:

    * Please note that the following steps will delete all HP software installed.

    1. click on menu go (click the desktop, then watch the menu in the bar at the top of the page)
    2. Select Applications
    3 select the Hewlett-Packard folder
    4. double-click on uninstall HP application
5 follow the uninstall to prompt to select a device to uninstall
    6. press and hold Ctrl + Alt + Cmd keys on the keyboard at the same time as you click on uninstall
7 approve any prompt to uninstall all HP software.

Then reconfigure the printer by obtaining the latest driver of Apple Software Update:

  • Will set up the HP Photosmart 7510 new iMac OSX 10.7.3; Cannot get the home screen appears.

Instead of the home screen, I get an error message ' no connection: your printer is not connected to a network. " If please connect to a network and try again. "I downloaded the software and latest drivers; my iMac recognizes the new HP printer.  But I must still be able to get the home screen to display on the printer so that I can do the basic settings.  I did the simple troubleshooting suggestions (for example, for printer disconnected from the socket wall and then plugged in;) I restarted the iMac; I uninstalled the software and drivers and reinstalled)... but no change, cannot get the home screen appears.

The printer turned on, unplug the power to the back of the printer (not the wall) for 30 seconds.

If this does not work, it seems that your printer is maybe defective.  Here's how to contact HP technical support: www.hp.com/go/totalcare (click on printers & monitors, there is a phone number on the resulting page).

  • Printer HP Photosmart will not start

I am not necessarily in a hurry for an answer.

I use a HP Photosmart 7260, S/N CN38Q2B0ZQ, Q3005A printer, model # SDGOA - 0372, with a Mac OS 10.5.8.  Printer blinking red and will not start.  There is no driver for the printer.  I had for a long time, never had a problem.  What should I do?

Red flashing red in the light, I think that your machine has no status. If it flashes in the light of memory card, then there is an error with the memory card. Unfortunately, the machine is 7 years old and has lived a long life that printers are concerned. It would not be surprising if it has passed. This doesn't seem to be a hardware problem.
