Photosmart B209 more - black ink issue Photo

Hi I just brought the Photosmart Plus and notice that there are 2 types of black for this printer and one slot on the black ink print head.  I always use the black Starter supplied with the printer.  So my question is if I want to print a photo, just the regular black out with photography black and switch it back when finished to print the photo? or I should finish the black Starter first then switch to photo black. TIA!

This page can help identify the correct cartridges.  The photo and regualr black cartridges are not interchangeable.

  • HP Photosmart 5514 no black ink printing

I have problems with my printer photosmart 5514 not printing black ink and the printing of blank pages. I've tried every suggestion of simple troubleshooting and nothing has worked. I have cleaned the printhead to the printer about 5 times, tried to align everything (but the alignment page is not detected), none of my cartridges are empty, and I reinstalled the printer to make sure it wasn't a problem with the connection. I am trying to print word documents or gives me a blank page or a very slight color page and photos are coming very slowly and completely bleached.

Please help, I don't know what else to try and my printer is out of warranty. I barely used it too so it becomes very frustrating. I would try to take the printhead manually to clean, but I can't go out with a screwdriver.

Thanks for getting back to me. I will send you a private message, please check the little envelope on the upper right of the forums page to check your Inbox of Forums.

  • PhotoSmart 5512 no black ink printing

Hi all.  I have a PhotoSmart 5512 who has recently stopped printing black ink.  Before we get into all that, here is some basic information:

Primary computer: MacBook Pro OS 10.9.2

    Connection: On home WiFi network

Recent changes: black ink cartridge changed (twice), no network changes

I serve this 5512 without problems since we bought it in August 2012. Recently, it stopped printing black ink. I checked the levels and it seemed to be close to empty (by using the form on the printer and Mac methods of control levels). I replaced the black cartridge with a black cartridge HP 564XL black. Installation, I ran the "clean printer heads" several times, but still saw no black ink. All I get on the print are the various boxes of colors at the bottom of the page.

Yet once, I replaced the black cartridge with a new black cartridge HP 564XL black.  Once again, to the installation, I ran the 'Clean Printer Heads' several times, but still not seen any black ink.

I removed the cartridge and checked the filter between the cartridge and print head. He had a cool on black ink. This makes me think that the printer is properly pulling the cartridge ink and sending it to the head print correctly, but for some reason, this isn't making it by the head of the printer correctly.

I followed the steps on this page (found in another similar post), although I have not yet submitted the printer for maintenance.

Help, please. I am a teacher by class 1 and almost all print on cardstock color for my students.  Not having do not access to home printing has really took me by surprise.

    Thanks for your help.

  • Want black ink issue 5532

    Hello

I just bought the HP Envy 5532 wireless printer and I'm having a few problems with black ink. At the present time, the printer recognizes the genuine hp cartridge and the ink for the black cartridge, but there is no black output when you print the alignment page which results in an error when trying to align the printer.

I tried the suggestions in the guides online around this question, including troubleshooting:

    1. ensure that the printer is plugged directly into a socket, rather than through any surge protectors or multisockets
    2. mode single cartridge (with just the black cartridge, it prints just an empty alignment page.
    3. check that the cartridge produces a line of black ink and not just a task using a tissue
    4. Remove and reinsert the cartridge
    5. update the software of the product on the printer using the built-in Wi - Fi connection

None of the above has solved the problem. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I could fix this?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi adamsq,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! I appreciate all the troubleshooting steps you have already covered, no there wasn't one thing that has not yet been made, so I would like to you to continue here: printer does not print black ink or color of ink or prints blank Pages

Please complete all THE steps, focusing on the recommendations of cleaning as well. Also let me know when you finally replace the black cartridge and the ink levels estimated.

    I'll watch for your reply.

    Thank you

  • Photosmart 6510:6510: black ink cartridge not working not

Like all the others, my black ink can work properly, but stops completely after replacing the ink cartridge.  This usually resolves after a few days of unsuccessful print jobs, but did not correct himself this time.

Others here have reported temporary difficulties, but most satisfied customers have had a mysterious and private solution to their problem.  Please me message or publish a solution so that I can have a printer that works and stop wasting my time using the useless 'tools' which do not solve the problem and wasting my color.

    Hi @TPow,

I brought your question to the attention of a team within HP. They are likely to ask for information from you to get your information or product serial number. Please search for a private message from a contact HP identified. Also, remember not to publicly post information and series numbers. In the forum next to your handle name, simply click on the envelope to see.

    Thank you.

  • Photosmart 5514: Photosmart 5514 - new black ink cartridge will not print

I just replaced all 4 ink cartridges (new cartridges of HP).  Each color prints fine except the black.  Not a spot of ink is crossing.  I removed, checked and reinsert the cartridge several times.  I check the contacts, clean them by following the instructions in the troubleshooting guide.  I've run the cleanup tool and quality report several times each.  Still nothing.  The printer is only a couple of years, out of warranty, but I don't have any problems with it so far.  Is there anything else I can try before I have to throw this printer?

For anyone who is having the same problem: I continued to try to understand this problem because I didn't have to buy a new printer.  I finally found a solution after trying everything that previously mentioned.  HP never really gave me any solution.

On the touch screen of the printer, go to Setup, then Preferences.  Do scroll to the chip in cartridge information and change it to Off.  Now my black ink prints!

I don't know if it will work on other printer models, but it worked on mine.

  • printer Photosmart 3310 says black ink is out. replaced the same message twice.

My printer says ink is out, but I have replaced the cartridge twice, cleaned the contacts, clean the print head and says the same thing. I was the impression of the things that I have in choosing the black mark of another color option, but last night he left the impression at all.  Indicates the ink level is dangerously low and could cause injury.  I always use hp ink cartridges. Please help don't want to replace the printer if I have to.

    Hello

The ink is blocked somewhere and not out of the print head. or the ink flowing from somewhere inside the printer.

Open the lid to see the inside of the print mechanism. to the left of the printer, you should be able to see the tubes. see if any of them escape (without touching it).

If the black ink is always full, but the printer says empty, then ink is blocked somewhere.

Whatever it is. I'm sorry, but the printer looks like it will replace.

  • HP Photosmart Plus B210A black ink cartridge will not print

I have an HP B210A Photosmart printer. Windows 8 operating system.  Recently, I replaced all ink cartridges, Black XL.

Now the black does not print.  The printer recognizes the ink is there but not print during a test, as the other three colors.  I went back to store & exchanged the cartridge for me even if I had bought all four colors together.  Installed the new one and it still does not work.  Has gone through the process of the online help where they want me to buy an another print head, but that doesn't make sense to me.  The products are HP, ink # 564.

I wouldn't get rid of this product because of it.  Any help would be appreciated.

    Of course, out of warranty.

    Hi PaulieG,

I understand that you have a Photosmart B210a printer that is printing is no longer black. I'm sorry to hear you had to deal with this, but I will certainly do my best to help you with this problem.

I recommend you all first that you have a look at this print quality paper to ensure that no steps have been omitted in this document. You can also try the steps outlined in this document 'Print head problem' or "Print head seems to be missing or corrupt" Message appears on the computer to clean your print head manually. Then, in a last effort, if these steps do not help, you can also try a suggestion from Bob_Headrick to soak your printhead.

Hope this helps, have a nice day!

  • Photosmart 6515 leaves black ink printing

Not under warranty (of course).  At tried all the troubleshooting steps, about 3 times.  Replace all ink cartridges.  Purchased additional black carridge again, just in case. I need to print, cannot let stand idle for days to see if it will 'recover' (can't believe it's actually a suggestion of troubleshooting).  The only solution is to buy a new printer?

Thank you, but it has not solved the problem.  Now, I replaced the printer.

  • Photosmart 7150: photosmart 7150, alignment, adjustment ink issues

Last week my printer cart stuck on the left side of the printer because of a "paper jam", although there is no paper stuck inside the printer.  I followed the instructions found on this Web site to manually move the carriage & unplug.

That worked and the printer reprinted... except that now I am unable to adjust the print quality - I chose Fast project in the properties for each document, I tried to print and it is printing on Normal or Normal Fast, can not say that, but it uses more ink project Fast and take longer to print.

In addition, the other problem is the alignment is off - documents are printing crooked - the top left margin is shorter than the upper right.

I would like ideas on how to get this printer working properly again.  I know it's old, but it's always worked so well so far.  Thank you in advance.

    Hi @noval562

I would say first of all turn off the printer, unplug the unit for about 5 minutes and then restarting him.

So I recommend with instructions on the use of HP Toolbox to calibrate, align and clean the printer and cartridges using this link: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/bpy20846

    Hope this helps

  • My Photosmart 5515 no black ink will print.

It was working fine until I changed the cartridges, now it prints only CMY. I found the page of troubleshooting on this issue, went through all the steps and even exchanged for another new black cartridge. Still nothing.

OK, the only other thing I can think of would be to reset the printer.

Follow these steps to reset the printer.

    Hello

Today, I installed a new HP 564 Black XL cartridge in my Photosmart 5220 according to the instructions.

Since then, I cannot print in black and white and the pages come out blank.

  • To the scanner on HP photosmart B110 prints black blocks for photos

Mac OS 10.9 with aio B110.  Scan print images as all blocks blacks and texts in the form of broad wavy lines spaced every half inch with thicker lines aprox.  Printer print and copy normally.  It is just the result of scan that is corrupt.  Any help gratefully received advice.  I'm at my wits end

    Hi latestar,

For images scanned coming out with black dots, a broad wavy line spaced and more thick lines of scanning HP after the upgrade to 10.9 Mavericks. I checked the HP drivers and download page, and at this moment there are no updated drivers. I've included the document 'OS X Mavericks v10.9: installing and using the printer on a Mac', this will ensure that all the Apple updates are complete, as well as answering frequently asked questions.

I have also included the document 'how Scan: OS X v10.9'. This document will guide you through the steps in the analysis of different programs, such as the preview of Apple and Apple Image Capture.

    Thank you.
