Photosmart B210e lost wireless settings

Hi all

Just got a photosmart B210e and have set up wireless. As soon as the printer is powered off the coast (as I do every night) wireless settings are lost and I need to set up again as if it were the first time. Any help is appreciated! Thank you.

"Is the reason to do outside the DHCP IP address simply to avoid conflicts on the network for devices that obtain their IP addresses automatically?" - Yes.  Not only devices take the IP addresses of DHCP, but there is usually a lease who get these devices which reserves the IP address for them for several hours or even a day, even if they disconnect and reconnect.

Another way to get around this is to reserve an IP address from the router for a specific device.  That works too, but is more difficult to teach people to do because of the variety of interfaces on routers.

Once that tell you the printer to ask 192.168.1.200, you are finished.  Your laptops and office will be able to find the printer with its new IP address.  If they can't let me know...

  • Cannot use our new HP Photosmart B210e printer wireless with HP ePrint server.

We bought a new printer HP B210e for our House to be able to print wireless smartphones, laptops and desktop. The first problem was that our main office, which is about 3 years old and under XP would not find the wireless printer. I contacted HP and after several hours, they changed my desktop to be able to see the printer. Alongside this, they configure the printer to have a fixed ip address.

It worked well, but I still cannot print from the photo tray. My wife's office has also had the same problem, but we will stop using this office. Not something we want, but she has a laptop computer.

The main feature that we wanted to use had to be able to send an e-mail to our printer through the HP eprint center. Who has worked on the first day, we have signed, but has not worked since. It seems that our printer cannot connect to the HP eprint center at all. We can send e-mail to our printer through the eprint server. We can see that the e-mail message has reached the server, but the server cannot transfer the email of the printer. We check the Setup wireless on our printer and it is correctly connected to our home network and I can print wireless from my office.

We're fast approaching the decision of the printer to where we bought it. We do not want to, but have no choice unless we can understand how to print from our smart phones.

So I ask for help with the printer or a recommendation on which printer you can buy that actually work on our network wireless home. I tried to find what printer is best for this purpose on the Internet but find that there, the information is just too complicated for us to make a decision.

PS: I see too many complaints about the HP ePrint Center, but very little about HP trying to fix or even acknowledge that they have a problem. I think they do!

I can't comment on the ePrintCenter (maybe it's temporarily down?) but I know that your printer is capable of printing from an iPhone or an iPad... your smartphone you happens to be an iPhone 3GS or 4? If so, you can use the last iOS4.2 that supports AirPrint and print directly to your printer. As long as your iPhone and your printer are both connected to the same network, that is. I hope this helps.

  • HP Photosmart B209a - lost wireless connection

I use the printer above and it worked perfectly on a BT Home Hub 2-57GM. I recently added a Time Capsule from Apple in the network and now use it as my default around the home wifi even if it is connected by a cable to the BT Home Hub. I operate two apples two OS x 10.6.8

I ran a report on the printer problems and the only 'FAIL', it's that the printer settings were not consistent with the settings of the wireless router. If I change my wifi on the home hub original only it still comes back with the same error message.

Any ideas as to what I should do?

Make sure all your devices are connected to a router, probably the time Capsule.  The BT home hub will give probably different IP addresses that the router from Apple.  The BT Home Hub will probably give 192.168.X.X.  Apple will probably give 10.0.X.X.

If the B209a has the wrong IP, reinstall it, connect to the router from Apple.  Make sure that the wireless BT is disabled (recommended) or has a different network name.

  • Photosmart B210e stay connected to the PC (wireless)

    Hello

I'll give you my specs first:

HP Windows 7 64 bit hard PC connected to the security of WPA-PSK/w N + Router Belkin Wireless.  The printer is connected to the network wireless about 15 feet from the router.

I have problems with my Photosmart B210e stay connected to my computer.  The only way I can get my computer to see my printer is to restart the printer.  After the printer starts I can print from my computer for about 10 minutes.  After that the computer can no longer maintain a connection with the printer.  According to the screen on the printer, I'm always connected to the network, but when I try to print I always get an error to the effect of the computer cannot establish a connection with the printer.  I have to restart the printer if I want to print again.  I don't have another computer to install the printer, but I can send an e-mail to my printer from my phone which will print when my computer does not see my printer.

I had the printer for a little over a year and it has always done.  I don't post things very often, but I still don't think it is necessary to be able to the printer whenever I want to print cycle.

According to the Product Support page there is an update for my printer.  When I try to update the printer from the screen, he says: my printer is up to date.  I tried to update several times and it has NEVER been an option to update, so unless that updates are automatically applied I'm not sure why my printer cannot find the update.  On the product page there are also drivers of the 11/2010.  I bought my printer from Best Buy in 01/2011 so I don't know if I have the latest drivers.  However when I try to download and install the installation always fails me give no description as to why it failed.  He told me then it downloads a solution to the problem and installs an icon on my desktop.  As soon as I click on this icon, it says that it cannot be used because there is no internet connection, which is not true because I can open a browser and surfing very well.

-J' tried to activate power saving mode that didn't work.

-J' I attmepted to run the HP network diagnostic utility.  If I run it, as soon as I start the printer it works and shows that there are no errors, if I wait 10 minutes and try to run it does not find my printer.

-J' I attmepted my printer of the assign a static IP address, I still have the same issues

I'd appreciate any help that could be given, thanks for your time.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8620: Unable to wireless settings

I tried to go into my wireless settings so I can connect to a new router, but the wireless configuration wizard continues to display the error message "the service has been locked by the administrator or the person who set up the printer. I not locked it and I am the only user of the printer. The wireless configuration wizard and Wi - Fi Protected Setup are stored.

I then tried to do a hard reset, that did not work. And try to restore network settings using the embedded server HP only deleted my old router connection without giving me more options to configure the new wireless settings. Can anyone help?

Hey @JF08, Hello and welcome to the Forums of HP!

From your description, it sounds like a complete reset may be necessary. I don't know how it got locked, but the easiest way is a factory reset.

There are a growing number of messages in this forum and elsewhere in the internet with the steps to do a reset on different printers.  Reset to will sometimes fix problems, so resetting is not the issue.

A few resets require you to enter key combinations to open special menus on your printer that you were supposed to never access.  These special menus are used by developers and staff support for debugging of problems, but they are not intended for inexperienced users and can have unexpected results.  A wrong button push and you might no longer have a printer, but rather an expensive paper weight.  On top of that, if you happen to the 'brick' the printer in this way, it is considered as customer induced damage and voids the warranty automatically. These resets are only intended to be distributed and used as a last resort and under the direct instruction of a representative of the HP technical support. They should not be made lightly!

  • Satellite L500 - lost wireless connection

My Satellite L500 recently lost the wireless connection. I looked towards the top of the Realtek wireless device in Device Manager and it says that the device is functioning properly. I tried to use "ping 192.168.1.1" join the router, and I get "error Transmit - general failure."

    Any ideas?

    Hey Buddy,

And now Windows recognize some WIFI networks at your fingertips? Your validation lost wireless connection isn't very useful

You should try a WLAN driver update that you can download from the official page of Toshiba:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/

If you can't find or connect to WLAN networks deactivate in the Windows of the WLAN power save mode power profiles. You will need to set for maximum performance.

  • Router WNDR3400 wireless Port status showing does not the wireless settings

    Hi all

Recently my SSID name is not recognized (2.4 and 5 GHZ). These had been configured manually. Looking at the Port of Wireless Router Status indicates that it is empty. I've reconfigured the Basic and wireless settings and I still don't see the SSID, etc. in the wireless Port. Example: The name (SSID) WirelessNet2G. In the wireless Port name (SSID) and any parameters are empty.

It wasn't a problem until a week ago, when my wireless connections said "out of range".

    Thanks for any advice.

    Hi Ron,

1 Windows operating system you are using?

    2. you receive messages or error codes?

You can read the following article and check.

Windows wireless and wired network connection problems

If you use Windows XP, then read the following article:

How to troubleshoot wireless network connections in Windows XP Service Pack 2

This problem can also occur when the power management profile turns off your network card.

You can try the following steps and check if it helps.

    a. click Start, type device manager in start search and press ENTER.

    (b) in Device Manager, expand network adapter.

    c. now you will see your network adapter or adapters if you have more than one. Right-click on the network component, and then click Properties.

    d. go to the power management tab.

    e. ensure that all check boxes are unchecked (check boxallow the computer to turn off this device to save power is off).

    f. If you have disabled the boxes, click ok and restart your system. Put the computer in Hibernate mode and check if you still have any questions.

  • Problem with WRT 300N (V2) wireless settings

    Greetings,

I just managed to reset the WRT 300N to default settings and have configured the connection internet etc and the network... BUT no matter how I fiddled with the wireless settings, I can not laptops or mobile phones to connect wirelessly to the network.

The Windows software on laptops "finds" the router OK but for some reason any router seems unwilling to provide an IP address.

I checked ALL the settings that I can think of, and all are correct... Well, all of them are exactly the same as my old router which worked perfectly.

It's something that I think muxt be to do with security settings.

    Can anyone offer any suggestions?

    Thank you

    Hello

Thanks for the input... However, I tried ALL of this and more... I now come to along to the belief that these routers with the so-called "n" (project) of function is not worth the money as I have serval new devices that are compatible and none of them can connect to any wireless function N... no matter who has network I try to use.

I think that it is better to renounce that, until the system works correctly! Obviously, the current (and former) cr

  • B110 lost wireless configuration each printer disable

Whenever I have turn off the printer, the printer lost Wireless Setup, so I have to reconfigure the network access wireless at every turn, is there a way to save the installation?

In my view, that it is a bug in the firmware.  Make sure that your firmware is up-to-date (System > preferences > product update) and wait for a fix.

Until then, just leave the thing on.  He goes to sleep and consumes very little power (almost the same as when it is turned off).

  • Photosmart B210e unknown error.

Printer model: HP Photosmart B210e (CN219A). OS: Windows 7.

I have experienced this error on the printer maybe 2 months ago, the printer says "black ink is missing or corrupted", so I bought a new, I inserted correctly, but the printer does not recognize the ink, whenever the printer is "preparation of printer" this error will occur suddenly and after that it will ask to reboot, and so there only to return to the preparation of the printer and still the same error, it goes like this on a cycle without end I tried to reset the printer several times without success, and then suddenly he recognized the black cartridge.

This printer is now in good condition, but it's just for a day, the second day, printer says 'lack of ink or damaged' once again, but I just bought this genuine hp cartridge, this means that it is empty for a short time? I did not even print a photo, a few sheets of documents.

And also whenever the black cartridge is in place, the printer will also think that the color cartridges are "missing or damage", the man is crazy, now I can not even access the menu of lcd because of this error.

My printer is in the corner right now, wait for the printhead to arrive but I don't know even where to buy one, HP Web site seem to not have the parts in stock.

And also if I buy a new print head, it comes with new cartridges too?

Thanks for the time to read my post, and I hope you could help me on this one. Here is the picture for the "unknown error".

    Hello jerinian,

The error you are getting is probably due to the print head because looks like you already have a diagnosis of other questions, you met with her, at least that's what I think since you mentioned that it will replace.

I don't see anywhere on the mentioned ink system failure error. You ever notice if it is said that anywhere? The error seems to come only with other combinations of ink related problems, but not the message ink system failure, at least reading your very detailed description.

HP has a troubleshooting section that allows to address each question (ink system failure or not). I'll give you two of them because I think that even if you don't see a failure message of ink system is probably linked to an ink system failure, but since you don't see the ink system failure then it theoretically can not be linked to the ink.

An alphanumeric Code (example: ' 0 x 'r' C2...) ") displays on the front panel when printing

An alphanumeric Code (example: ' 0 x 'r' C2...) ") or 'Ink system failure' Error Message is displayed on the front panel when printing

The interesting thing is at the end of the the ink system failure error he article to replace the print head. As you replace the printhead already then we might want to hold off on doing other troubleshooting steps until you have done this.

As for the printhead itself when you get a new print head that it does not come with ink usually it's just the head real itself.

Let me know if you have any other questions, comments or concerns.

My printer says that your wireless router requires a WPA security password. How do I do that? My printer was working fine and now it says offline when I want to print on the printer it self says its not connected

Your WPA paraphrase is in your router under Wireless tab. You need to access your router via its web page and look it up. It's the same when you connect your computer to your routers SSID.
