Photosmart B8550 'in paper' message.

My HP B8550 continues to tell me it is out of paper, yet all the bins are full.  It is trying to load the paper, but then returned with 'Out of Paper' error message when it tries to print.  It's only a year old (out of warranty) a slightly used.  I cleaned the rollers as HP suggests, but still does not work. Any suggestions?

OK - my problem is solved!

After talking with HP support and said that I should buy a new printer since mine was out of warranty, I decided to try the method of the 'Hammer '.  It was to raise the upper tray and forcing the paper into the lower (with my finger) tray in the feeding mechanism that the printer was trying to load a sheet.  Bingo, it worked like a charm, and it now feeds photo paper and plain paper very well in both trays.  For you all the people who seem to have a similar document from supply problems, give it a try - it could just you save the cost of a new printer.

  • HP Photosmart B8550 printer Out Of Paper error message

I have a HP Photosmart B8550 who insists on the fact that I'm paper little matter how much is in the main tray.  Whenever I try to print from my computer or just running test page, I get the error message "Out of Paper".   This problem occurred about two weeks after the expiration of the warranty of the printer.

The last thing that he print with success was a sign of sale on fluorescent stock heavy.  I tried cleaning the rollers as others suggested online and found a few red residue, probably from the sign.  It does not have the printer works however.

Someone else suggested to remove the upper plate and forcing a piece of paper through by hand to get it going again.  If I push a sheet of paper upward to meet the internal reels view and print a single page but it does not take any other paper on its own.  It just goes back to what the message OF PAPER.

How is the document that is supposed to be pulled up to the rolls? Now that the top plate has been removed, I see an arm with two black rolls down on paper when PRINTING is affected, but they do not seem to turn. They just sit there for a few seconds and then back up just before ON PAPER will start to blink.

Any suggestion or destroyed independent feeding mechanism? Is there maybe a sensor that is clogged?  If Yes, where is it located and how can it be cleaned?

There is a document to find errors on paper on Photosmart 8000 series printers located here.

If these steps do not fix the problem, then a hardware problem has developed in the feeding mechanism and your best option will be to replace the printer. Have you thought about contacting HP Support on the upgrade program?

  • "Out of paper" message on C 4280 all-in-One printer

    Dear HP support,

I use an Apple iMac around 4 years.  It uses OS x 10.6.8.  And the version of the HP printer utility software: 5.8.0 in conjunction with the software HP PhotoSmart C4200 series supplied with my printer.

After turning on my Mac and turn on the printer, I hear a sound of wrinkle the paper.  With the help of my manual I opened the front and back panel to get a paper stuck; None is visible.  As directed by your video website on my printer, I checked the print rolls in the back and they are clean and free from rolling.  The "2nd set of reels deeper inside mentioned in the video do not seem to exist in this printer model I've seen no where in it with a bright flashlight.  The rollers on the rear door printer are also free - ride clean and 'elastic '.

I tried to print a Test sheet using the HP utility.  Loaded into a sheet of 24 lb paper ordinary inkjet hammers I always use.  Pushing in gently until it stops as always.  Then click on the "Print test contact" button on the screen.  Then received on the printers screen and on my Mac is a message "on paper."  No printing.

Check my printer printing is not paused there either and there is no jobs waiting here.  In addition, according to the video on HP page my printer, I did a printer power cord removal, reset for 30 seconds.  The printer came back later and didn't report any errors.  Tried to print the Test Page using the above procedure previously; no impression and got the "Out of paper" message again.  Please note that I usually ALWAYS print just a sheet at a time, rarely even 5 sheets in both.  Yet he refuses to start.  This makes printer as usual noises when turn on so I know not the printer is not "dead" or locked inside.  It CAN Scan photos in files, even if it cannot print anything.

At this point, I think I've tried all that a consumer can do as well as anything in the manual and video.

Any ideas or suggestions?   BTW I DID do a search for this problem, especially for my printer model and found nothing.  I don't know if all other HP printers are similar to my model so I don't know if their corrections apply to my model.

With the printing paper error every time I try to print from my iPad or mobile phone

    Hello

The default settings on the devices Apple Airprint is printing photos from the photo tray and all other documents of the main paper tray. If there is not present when you try to print a photo of photo paper, you will get an out of paper message, even though there may be current plain paper.

  • HP photosmart B8550: fatal error "-Stub""66186"»

My printer has stopped printing.  The page came across as if it was printing to go, but it came out white.  I went to the HP website and went through the process of downloading and installation for the drivers, including all the troubleshooting steps where I should go to the system configuration of uncheck then check boxes.  This has not fixed the problem.  After several restarts and attempts to reinstall (even using what is called a Wizard), a window come suggesting that I come to this forum.  So here I am.  My printer is connected to my CPU by USB and is no longer supported by HP.  Should I give up and buy a new printer or is there something else I can do?  If more information is needed in order to help me, please ask.  Thanks in advance for your help.  Marian

Welcome to the HP community @rinkly ,

I read about your Photosmart B8550 impression now out of the white pages, and I wanted to share my own suggestions. I think that the problem is hardware related somewhere in the printer itself, so perhaps that's why troubleshooting software you tried has not solved the problem. There could be a failure of the print head and you might need another unit however, before determining that, try the troubleshooting steps in the guide I posted below.

HP Photosmart B8550, B8553 and B8558 printers - faded colours or ternes in impressions

If troubleshooting does not at all help, finally I would contact HP technical support to review your options of the printer with you.

  • Photosmart B8550 stopped printing from Win 7 Home Premium

I have a Photosmart B8550 for several years. It allows to print from my installation of Win 7 Home Premium, but not now. I tried several fixes, UN-installations driver and re-facilities, including what is described in a thread that has begun on this forum on 15/07/13. The cumulative result is that I can print beautiful pages of diagnostics software HP Solution Center, but nothing of any windows-based application, or a test page from the printer properties page in Control Panel. When I click the "Printing Test Page" button on the printer properties page, I see the page Flash briefly in the series B8500 printer queue window and disappear - but no page is printed. Is there a fix I've not seen? Is what it means the printer has fried? Is there a last attempt, I can do before (probably literally) grabs it by the window?

    Thank you.

My Windows 7 is 64-bit, I was installing the latest full driver from the Web site package and I have a USB connection. Using Windows update has failed. In the meantime, I found that printing from a USB key works fine.

  • All-in-one HP Photosmart C4150 says paper when it is not

All-in-one HP Photosmart C4150 said paper when it is not. I reload paper and press ok and get the same answer

In general, this is due because the rollers of the printer is dirty, or are not engage as they should. The document below should help you to solve the problem. If this does not work, you can have a sensor or other mechanism, out and need to replace the printer. Let me know what happens.

  • out of paper message appearing

Now, I have a "paper" message and cannot print on my HP officejet 4110 all-in-one.  I cleaned the rollers, etc.  Print a test of the printer, but not files.  Is there a user-fix suggested for this?  Thank you, jerrygreene

HI - as the internal test page prints fine, looks like the DJ is very well.  A couple of things to try:

-Disconnect and reconnect the USB cable (assuming that it is how you are connected).

-If you're not connected directly to the printer, connect directly.

-If you have another USB cable, try to use it.

    -Uninstall and reinstall the SW.

For me, looks like it could be a communication problem between the computer and the printer if you are able to print the page to test very well.

    Hope that helps.

    Hello

I can't send a message "regular" pap to a device by adding the deliver-after-timestamp attribute to the element of push message .

that is, initiator of push-online BES/MDS-online BB device.

    The message looked like below:

    2. do I configure something on the side of BES/MDS Server to enable the regular push? If Yes, where and how? (I use BES Manager 4.1 and the device of the curve)

    3. I'm almost 100% sure that the TEST message was valid. Can anyone prove otherwise?

Thanks in advance for the help.

OK I got it to work.

    The PAP message is valid.

The solution is to set up the presentation to push store = true in the Server BES/MDS

  • We have a HP Photosmart B8550 on an XP network access with Windows 7 laptop

We have a HP Photosmart B8550 connected a computer to Office XP.  We share this printer with other computers on Office XP on the network.  We also have other printers on other desktop computers that are shared.  We recently purchased laptops with windows 7 and the B8550 is the only printer, to that we can't print.  It is found on the network and it will add in the printers and faxes on the laptop, but when you try to print a test page we get an error 0x0000007a.

    On the laptop...

    (A) devices and printers
    (B) add a printer
    (C) add a local printer
    (D) create a new port: in the Control Panel printer Add Wizard window
    (E) select LOCAL port (unless your printer is a printer purely network with an address IP then chose TCPIP)
    (F) enter the XP network name or IP address

    (G) install the Windows 7 driver

  • Photosmart B8550 don't XL ink cartridges require the purchase of a larger car to keep them?

    Photosmart B8550

Envy, I decided to buy the XL size cartridges because printing photographs uses ink so fast. But looking at the regular size cartridges, installed in the current cage, I don't see how something bigger can fit in there!

Which brings the question: do I need to buy a XL wagon to keep? And if so, where can I find them for sale, as so far, I have not found their...

Or... is this just HP does not have regular ink to full capacity, and the difference represented by an XL is simply it is actually full of ink, rather than only partially completed as in the case of a regular ink cartridge?

    Thank you!

I said cart but meant the "printhead" that holds the ink cartridges.  I also had my answer elsewhere. The standard and XL ink cartridges are the same size, so they both correspond to the same print head.
